A new book reveals the inner workings of a chaotic Obama White House governed in great part by an impudently aggressive Michelle Obama – and once again provides strong support of information initially shared by our own White House Insider…

Jodi Cantor’s soon-to-be published The Obamas is likely causing more than a bit of heartburn over at the Obama White House these days. Details include explosive battles waged between staff, a reclusive President Obama, and a rather unflattering look into the heavy handed influence of First Lady Michelle Obama. As staff fall away (Most recently White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley – who held his position for just a year), what remains is Lady Obama and longtime Senior adviser Valerie Jarrett…and of course Barack Obama – hiding out behind the door of his second story study.
Here is a preview published today by the New York Times:
Early on Sept. 16, Robert Gibbs was scanning the news when a story stopped him short: according to a new French book, Michelle Obama had told Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the French first lady, that living in the White House was “hell.”
…but at Mr. Emanuel’s 7:30 a.m. staff meeting the next day, Ms. Jarrett announced that the first lady had concerns about the White House’s response to the book, according to several people present. All eyes turned to Mr. Gibbs, who started to steam.
“Don’t go there, Robert, don’t do it,” Mr. Emanuel warned.
“That’s not right, I’ve been killing myself on this, where’s this coming from?” Mr. Gibbs yelled, adding expletives. He interrogated Ms. Jarrett, whose calm only seemed to frustrate him more. The two went back and forth, Ms. Jarrett unruffled, Mr. Gibbs shaking with rage. Finally, several staff members said, Mr. Gibbs cursed the first lady — colleagues stared down at the table, shocked — and stormed out.
Mr. Gibbs later acknowledged the outburst but said he had misdirected his rage and accused Ms. Jarrett of making up the complaint. After the book incident, he “stopped taking her at all seriously as an adviser to the president,” Mr. Gibbs said, adding, “Her viewpoint in advising the president is that she has to be up and the rest of the White House has to be down.”
Ms. Jarrett declined to discuss the incident; two East Wing aides said she had misspoken, and that Mrs. Obama had not made any criticism.
And then we have this excerpt detailing an all out war between former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emannuel and First Lady Michelle Obama:
When the whole enterprise seemed to have fallen apart, following the election of Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown, a Republican, the first lady was furious. Instead of letting her husband down easy, which top staff hoped she would do, she lit into him.
“She feels as if our rudder isn’t set right,” the president told his aides. “They had the sense that was not the actual language she had used.”
…Emanuel, naturally, had a different read. And according to “The Obamas,” he was indignant about how the first lady handled the Brown victory. “Emanuel hated it when people criticized the administration from lofty perches,” writes Kantor. “More fundamentally, the chief of staff was trying to convince the president to scale back his health care efforts, but the first lady wanted him to push forward. Emanuel wanted to win by the standard measures of presidential success: legislative victories, poll numbers. Michelle Obama had more persona criteria: Was her husband fulfilling their mission?” (emphasis added)
In the end, Michelle Obama would win that fight. After several days of reflection, the president would push again for Congress to pass the full health care reform bill. And while he ultimately would succeed, the battles took their tolls.

UM, as you mentioned… Daley’s out too which WHI was on record stating would happen this past Summer. (I think WHI stated a higher up in the Admin would be leaving and it would send a signal that the Obama Admin is in chaos. Daley has to be the person WHI is referring to since Daley is from Chicago. It is no coincidence! Daley was to bring credibility to the Obama Admin. This departure is not good for Obama 2012 with the big Democrat $ machine from Illinois.
Sorry UM that this is OT, but Daley just quit his post as Chief of Staff.

So the NYT except was the more flattering stuff on Michelle and ValJar. Hope the Repubs in the House start making public ValJar meeting with all the Dept of Energy bundler/crony capitalists right before their loans are approved. ValJar is what is called a “shit stirrer”. She causes stinks to make everyone look bad but her and Michelle. Glad this is coming out before the election and Daley had enough sense to bail completely.
F___g s___ is f____d up! I think that’s your real quote.
Ha! That’s it exactly and what I have posted at other sites — we actually already have our “first woman President” — and even better than that — not just one, two at the same time……Michelle and Valerie…wonderful.
Many, including former NYT Keller dream of Hilary Clinton replacing Biden…..talk about a combustible crew of MO, VJ and HRC!!!! That should blow the top off this WH with BO running for the hills!!
Do you really think Fibbsy and Capt. Combover didn’t know they would be in this book that was written by a NYT reporterette to boot? If the WH didn’t want this thing published, it would’ve never seen the light of day. I don’t believe even half of it is accurate — it’s too toned down for what most likely gets said in the WH walls.
I thought Jarrett was a joke long before WHI revealed her, but it was only a suspicion, a hunch. I also thought this was the most anti-Semitic, anti-Israel President we’ve ever suffered under. Then came Chas Freeman, the would-be Intel director.
Anything that you can imagine bad about these people is probably only a shadow of how bad they really are. I’m thankful WHI was around to reveal these putzes for what they are.
Michelle Obama is a pig and I apologize to pigs everywhere.
After reading this I’m thinking that Michelle and Valery would never allow Hillary on the ticket as VP and let her get that close to the White House. They’re probably very content with her current role as Sec. Of State which keeps her “on the road” and out of the loop.
Among other things, this illustrates why the American people should also be looking pretty hard at the spouse of a potential president.
First Ladies are not just window dressing and they haven’t been for a long time. They are the hidden power behind the President and have an awful lot of influence behind the scenes, more so even than any advisor.
Too bad the American public didn’t find out more about Michelle Antoinette’s history and motivations as well as her husbands before we up and elected them.
