Despite hundreds dead and nearly half of the entire GOP caucus either indicating no confidence in or calling for the resignation of Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, two of the most powerful Republican politicians in Washington DC are purposely avoiding any response on the matter. Why?

According to a recent Daily Caller report, repeated requests to get an indication from both House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor has met with refusal to even acknowledge the looming issue that is Eric Holder’s position within the Obama administration following the disastrous Fast and Furious gunrunning operation that has left hundreds dead and a growing number of Americans demanding answers. No such answers will be coming any time soon from Boehner and Cantor it would seem:
During a House GOP retreat in Baltimore on Friday, press secretaries for Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor balked when asked if their bosses believe Attorney General Eric Holder should resign over Operation Fast and Furious.
Why the two most prominent and powerful Republicans in the House of Representatives are saying so little would indicate that issue either has little merit to them – or perhaps, something very significant is about to develop regarding Mr. Holder’s current status as the nation’s Attorney General and neither man wishes to giving any appearance of undue influence over that outcome.
Let’s hope for the latter…

IMO, if one is the “leader” of a political group, one does not advocate something unless one has the confidence that it will take place. Line up the ducks first.
Then do what you need to do.
It’s possible that they are staying on the sideline in order not to make things more difficult for Issa. Which is actually smart because doing so won’t give Holder an edge on “it’s just a political ploy”.
I agree… Give Issa his space and Holder a little more rope for the hanging. It is wise to allow the process to work. Besides, Holder is coming back before Issa’s Oversight Committee in early February. Let’s see what happens at that time.
Boehner is a piece of crap.I do not trust that guy.
I am just glad I don’t have that job. Right now.
that “limp” microphone in the foreground is a perfect metaphore for those two worthless politicians.
Say, didn’t WHI assure UM that by December 8th of last year Holder would no longer be the AG?
I don’t remember that at all. The insider has always said there was a big scandal coming at the Obama DOJ. They also said Holder will be gone. Not sure when. Unless I missed a specific date at some time but that seems not very like because I’ve been following this thing close for a while now. Last I remember on a timeline was Insider saying that they might string it out into 2012 to make it a good election year thing to hang around Obama. So far seems spot on. Hope it happens and Holder goes bye bye. Janet Reno clung on and prtected Clinton to the end though so I’m getting worried.
If they are waiting to use this as an election issue, it will look like nothing more than a political ploy to help their guy. That won’t work in the Republican nominees’ favor or Republicans in general.
They also know they will be accused of racism since Holder’s black.
It gets better…

What surprises me is that the LSM has not picked up these stories. Oh, that’s right. I forgot that they are complicit in these obaminations of the Obamination.
Well, as WHI puts it, ‘Republicans are spineless p*ssies.’
They are just the “other” head of the two-headed beast. They’ll play their “Part” in the charade when the time comes. Right now it’s pause for effect.
Maybe they’re timing it so that Obama can not issue a blanket pardon to Holder on his way out the door?
The only thing that gives me comfort these days is that there is no statute of limitation on treason. They’re ALL dirty and they’re all going to pay for what they’ve done to this country and to us. It’s coming.
No escape. No quarter.
Boehner was in the House during Clinton’s impeachment. I can understand why he’d be cautious because the House did a lot of work to prove that the President was guilty of a crime, only to have the Senate vote not to convict. I’m sure that was a blow to everyone involved. Regardless of how you feel about what happened to President Clinton in 1998, I’m sure that’s playing a huge role in the decisions he’s making. I’m betting the plan is to wait until after the 2012 election because if Obama loses then Holder will be gone anyway. Why take the steps to get Holder out of office if the electorate could do the same job without having to expend more government resources and time for that end?
I’m convinced that the House would be acting differently if Obama’s next election was another year or two off. The problem is that the House could change hands after the election in 2012. However, that’s iffy because neither Obama nor the Congress are very popular. It’s really hard to tell what direction people are going right now. People are just ticked at the political class, so it’s hard to tell what exactly that will mean in for the election.
Issa is a FRAUD.
Dont count on him.
It’s fear, not necessarily a wimpy hand-wringing fear. They have probably been told that to try to hold the regime to account, to “go after” Holder or Barry will precipitate massive riots. And they do not want to be blamed for causing massive riots/”civil unrest.” Probably hoping for a peaceful transition (oh please, oh please) after the “free and fair” elections (oh please, oh please).
On a related note, National Park Service Director tells Congress he is not enforcing the ban on camping in MacPherson Square and kicking out the Occupy DC protestors because enforcement could, “potentially incite a reaction.” He assured the committee he was receiving no political advice or persuasion in his (in)decision.

Weaselzippers, not sippers
WHI said, in the “I hung my head” edition,
“So there’s that story. You think it’s got some value? Fine…publish it. Whatever. I’m gonna go back to work on Holder…get him out. He knows all of this sh-t. All of it. Get him gone…and it’s gonna be a campaign issue now. They delayed it…the administration…Issa played along…now it’s a campaign issue. Murderers. All of them. Fu–ing murderers…”
If the weather were better, maybe the Speaker could go out to the course with the (p)resident, Sir Golfsalot, and find all balls he hit into the rough; they’re still missing, you know, a-hem, the golf balls I mean.
I think they are worried that “the1″ would then make an overnight/recess appointment of John Podesta to be AG. You think Holder is bad?
