A quick email from a longtime Washington DC political insider reveals President Obama’s “complete focus” in preparing for days to sing a few words and then use that moment to wage an all-out PR campaign to recapture the “essence of cool” he so enjoyed during the 2008 campaign.
Hope the morning finds you well. Busy-busy-busy on my end. Will give you a more thorough update in the coming days. Not sure if this information is worth publishing but figured you would get a kick out of it either way. It’s a glimpse into the president’s current state of mind. At the very least shows his priorities which are pretty much on his own image as it has always been. Story told to me on two different occasions within a couple days of each other so likely true for the most part.
Regarding that little singing bit the president did recently. The Al Green thing. If you haven’t seen the clips of that then look it up. Easy to find. It’s been spread wide and far. And that was the plan. That moment was rehearsed to death. As in over and over and over again. Apparently the president has been complaining for some time that he’s no longer cool. He was actually in on a meeting with some of the Plouffe gang and told them more than once he wanted to be cool again. “Like in ’08. We were the sh-t back in 08″. Those are the president’s words. He is obsessed with getting back to being cool like in ’08. It’s become something of a theme apparently in-house among the younger staff. They have started to greet one another with “Are we cool again?” as a joke.
So anyway, back to that singing thing the president did. Told he practiced that little line for days. Seems likely that Obama spent more time on trying to sound good on that bit than he has on dealing with anything else facing the country. They brought in a voice coach. He was playing the song over and over again. It was a complete focus. Pretty damn sad.
Now if you watch the video of it you can see that he colored his hair again. Got the stage makeup up on. And you see how he pauses and gets very serious as he prepares to sing that one little line. That’s the give-away. That’s what he does every time he is trying to look spontaneous during a moment that he has actually practiced over and over for. He is very insecure. Talked with you about that many times before. So he pauses, you see himself getting ready for the moment and then he does the bit.
Now he pulled it off. Sounded fine. I wonder though if America would be so impressed if they knew how many hours the fu–ing President of the United States spent practicing for those few seconds of song.
That’s not the end of it though. By the time that singing thing took place, the campaign had in place about a dozen people working 24/7 to spread the video on the Internet. These same people used all the fake accounts already in place to then comment how great it was. How cool the president was. Pull up some of those videos. Read the comments. Notice how many times the word cool is used. Its repeated so often because those comments are coming more often than not from the same group of campaign operatives and they were told to make the president look “cool”. A few others in the campaign then sent it off to the media to make sure they would place it prominently in the news cycle for the next 48 hours. And there were about 40 or 50 people in the crowd who had been instructed to “cheer loudly” the singing. And you can see how grateful the president is at the audience’s reaction. The guy needs that approval so damn much. The whole thing from beginning to end was a highly orchestrated effort. Not one second of it was spontaneous.
The poor bastard wants to be cool again. Hours and hours spent preparing to sing a few words. Many more hours spent by the campaign spreading the video of that moment. Don’t know if this is worth much of your time, but I found it both sad and funny that this is what this country’s president is obsessed with. Trying to be cool. Good God.
It still boggles my damn mind that me and others gotta be working this hard to defeat him. Guess it goes to show how far wrong things have gone in the country.
One last thing. A heads up. Our friend Mr. DOJ has got some interesting announcements coming his way soon. Don’t be discouraged. The sh-t is moving slow but it’s moving. Things are going better than the outside view would appear. I know it’s a broken record to you, but we got him. Good meeting in -deleted- and then on the road again early next week. UPDATE: It appears Barack Obama’s desire to return to 2008 with his most recent singing gesture is provided some VIDEO PROOF of him doing a very similar thing on the campaign trail three years ago! (Is everything recycled with this president?)
First – it is clear then-candidate Obama’s singing voice was not quite so…adequate as it was more recently, which would once again confirm the insights shared by Insider. Second – Obama even repeats the “wasn’t gonna do it” line in 2012 as was spoken here in 2008.

A “cool” guy never has to try to be cool..that’s the whole point. He just IS.
Obama may try to recapture his “cool” but it’s already a lost point if he has to work on it.
It will work for the die-hards but the rest of us are done with him.

I’m sure everyone would agree that there are days where it gets harder and harder to “take” stories like this. We’re at a crossroads and I ask that you do everything in your power to take this guy “out of power”. Good Lord, I never saw the “singing” video until now. Why would the President plan to suddenly break out into song? Unfortunately, because IT WORKS! Do you think the average American that gets his/her news from Colbert cares about the news today that 1.2 million LEFT the labor force, or gets what that means? No, they see Joe Cool being, well, cool. And that makes them think that he’s got everything under control. And then pathetically, Romney’s handlers think they have to copycat Obama, so he sings a patriotic song poorly ,making him look pathetic. When will the Republican Hierarchy get it? Their strength is behaving like adults. Keep hammering at the administration’s gaffes – repeat over and over and over until even the most moronic of Americans can remember them.
You absolutely hit the nail on the head GR ~ “THEIR STRENGTH IS BEHAVING LIKE ADULTS”! If only they would understand that. That was Reagan’s strength – he had a marvelous sense of humor but was never silly and there is a difference. I pray every night for divine intervention and believe that’s the only thing that will save this great country.
What I don’t understand is why the people who are propping him up with all this ego stroking think there’s nothing wrong with this picture? They have to place 40 – 50 people to cheer? This is spontaneous and emotionally thrilling? Possibly they think the crowd will follow their lead mindlessly, in which case they’ve sadly miscalculated how upset people are and how aware they’ve become of what he truly is.
If I had been asked to do this, there would be such an internal struggle between my principles and what this man represents that I don’t think I could sleep at night.
Maybe they’re like the remora fish who follow sharks and hope to grab any leftover scraps of power if they’re close enough.

Crystal – I hate to say this but things like this work with the unquestioning mind. Notice, in the clip at least, that the camera stays on the President, as it should. they know you’ll never see the crowd, only hear the “spontaeous” cheers at just the right time. Done.
As a marketer, I used to do this all the time. Planning a symposium that will only attract 100 people at a convention? Book a room that holds 50. Then those coming late will have standing room only. Passers by think the room is bursting at the seams. It must be a really important, interesting speaker with so many people trying to get in! Better that image than a room that holds 400 mostly empty.
One thing that will work is relentless repetition. This why the negative campaigning works. Repeat the negatives relentlessly until it sinks in to even the simplest minds. This is how people learn from childhood.
I know that as early as 2009 there was trouble with the enthusiasum factor you might call it. Someone I know who, works at the NIH in Maryland, told me how His Nibbs was coming to read to them from the TelePrompTer. Internal e-mails and memos were hyping it all up, saying something to the effect of “reserve your seats.. blah blah blah,” only nobody really cared and most seemed to resent their being used as just so many props and their being taken for fools.
Publicity stunt…straight out of Hollywood casting. He is trying to revisit Clinton’s Arsenio Hall moment. Massive fail. Sure would like to get a ‘poll’ on what the American voting public thought of it. ‘Cool’ would not be the word I’d use. More like ‘embarassing.’ He stoops to conquer. What a cheeky monkey! proving once again that his strength is in entertaining, not in accomplishing anything substantive. What a jive-ass, mofo. Would I be a racist if I said he was “typical”??? ;D

Think he sang pretty good — heard he should go into a singing career – should have done that instead of politics !! Maybe he thought that wouldn’t work out – don’t know — but then sought “fame”, “coolness”, “riches”, “power” in politics.
I took it as highly pathetic also and shows what a weak, insecure, shallow person he is; however, the bad news is so many don’t get that. So many that don’t care and are easily fooled. The cool I wish to see is Barry charged with treason and convicted. He should be verbally abused all the days of his life for the abuse he’s heaped upon the generous American people.

He’s definitely not cool with the people who voted for him, but have since found out that their economic situation can worsen in America. And, he’s never been cool w/those of us who saw through him in 2007 and 2008. Now, it’s sick and sad hearing about how Obama wants relive and revive the “glory days” of 2008.
