The longtime “contraceptive rights” activist who was invited to sit at a table in front of a handful of Democrats to give her version of just how difficult it is for students at a religious university to obtain birth control – and that the federal government must force such religious universities to provide those college students with FREE access to said birth control, appears to be getting away with ignoring a very simple and basic fact – contraception is incredibly cheap and accessible for both herself and any other woman in America. There is absolutely no need to provide yet another entitlement program so that college students can enjoy “free love” on the American taxpayer’s dime.

Let us begin with Sandra Fluke and her use of a story involving an anonymous “friend” who had suffered an ovarian cyst because she could not obtain the birth control pill from the Catholic university she attended. Really? What Ms. Fluke – who will turn 31 years of age next month and so should certainly know better, failed to share with anyone who has provided her a platform to share her contraceptive concerns – is the fact there are no less than THREE federally funded Planned Parenthood clinics within walking distance of Georgetown University. Each of those clinics could have provided this mysterious friend of a 31-year old graduate student and longtime “contraceptive rights” activist with FREE access to birth control. A few minutes filling out a very simple proof of need form at Planned Parenthood provides any college student of need FREE or reduced cost birth control. Here is the applicable language taken from just one of the Planned Parenthood sites near Georgetown University:

If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale. Please bring the following documents:
- Photo ID
- 2 pay stubs from the last 30 days or a bank statement from the last 60 days showing 30 days of activity LINK
THAT’S IT. All Ms. Fluke or any other college student at Georgetown University need to to get free or reduced cost birth control is to provide a photo id and a couple of pay stubs, or a bank statement. And yet, Ms. Fluke, her Democratic Party co-horts like Nancy Pelosi, and many in the mainstream media are now attempting to convey there exists a “women’s health crisis” in America because college students want free birth control but cannot be bothered to walk down the street to get it? Ms. Fluke CHOSE to attend a religious university. That university, according to the United States Constitution, cannot be FORCED to provide free birth control to its students. Barack Obama and his supporters though appear willing to openly disregard the First Amendment in favor of a fabricated election year controversy that pits apparently lazy and stupid college students who do indeed have cheap and even free access to birth control within walking distance of the almost any university in the nation. Here is yet another example of this from Deborah Kotz of US NEWS and WORLD REPORT who said the following on the subject over TWO YEARS AGO:
When it comes to choosing birth control, most women stick with what’s working for them. But sometimes it might pay (literally) to switch: Kroger supermarket pharmacies this month began offering two generic oral contraceptives at a bargain price of just $9 for a 28-day pill pack. Kroger, located in about 30 states, gives discounts for generic versions of Ortho Cyclen and Ortho Tri-Cyclen.
Wal-Mart pharmacies began offering the same discounts in 2006. I spend about $25 per month on my brand-name pills, so I’m tempted to make a switch given that I could save $192 a year—about the cost of that Coach purse I’ve been eyeing. LINK
I do not recall one word of Sandra Fluke’s now infamous tale of contraceptive sadness indicating the many free and low cost contraception options offered up by Planned Parenthood, Walmart, or Kroger – though such information MUST be known by a longtime “contraception rights” activist, yes?
Wake up America – you are being played yet again by the far left progressive liberals of the Democratic Party and the mainstream media. With $5 gas, continued high unemployment, apologies from an American president to Islamic radicals, and an increasingly unstable Middle East, is it any wonder Barack Obama is thrilled to have the discussion focused on YOU paying for college students to have yet more “free love”?

As others have pointed out, Bill Maher used far worse language about Palin and others and the media totally ignores it. I’m actually fine with all the insults and invective flung at those who dare to enter the political arena, I just want equal standards not double standards.
Bravo!
Now, lets get back to more important issues that Barry is either avoiding altogether or jiving and ducking….
That woman has issues. Many people fully believe she is what she was called recently, that she will always carry that label, that she is a duplicituous, transparent and laughable person that it is best to avoid at all costs.
Other people, of course, believe that she is a veritable Joan of Arc, a Heroine (uh….hero, PC you know) a brave warrior for the cause of the victimized weaker sex, going forth with a soggy condom on the end of her lance.
Is it Fluke that rhymes with puke? or Fluke that rhymes with slut or the f-word with an “L”?
I surmise that a bit more digging by an investigative journalist like UM
, would find that Ms. Fluke’s “Biggest Lie” is that she is a lesbian and really didn’t need the contraceptives to begin with! All of Ms. Flukes associations and “causes” indicate to me that she is a member of the gay community and as such is an advoacte for gay “rights” causes.
It won’t surprise me at all if it does come out that Ms. Fluke is a lesbian and gay rights advocate. At this point we can only speculate that possibility but your observation about Ms. Fluke’s associations and “causes” would definitely point in that direction.
Incidentally, I read an article (or maybe just a blog) that indicated college students are required to buy their college insurance, insinuating that this applied to Ms. Fluke. Unless things have changed, that is absolutely not true… college students can have whatever insurance they want, including staying on their parents’ insurance. Used to be that a person could stay on the parents’ insurance till age 24 if a full time student. Now, of course, the age is 26 and it doesn’t matter if they are a student or not. So, the deceitful Ms. Fluke is “over-the-hill” so to speak and has to provide her own insurance. Poor baby… NOT!

Personally, I decided to double check the university’s location in relation to the Planned Parenthood locations, but I overlooked this tid bit in a previous article. If the map pulled up the George Washington University under discussion, I got a tad side tracked. The one Google Maps brought up is within walking distance of 19th and G. In fact, G appears to go straight through the college and the eastern building is right acrossed the street to the IMF’s southern building and to the upper corner right is the northern IMF building. Department of State is just south of the university, east of the Watergate Complex, and northwest of the World Bank.
There does seem to be three Planned Parenthood location near campus, so it seems to be the correct university. Interesting, I suspect the location seems to be as important as the issue being presented.
NO….
Let’s start with a president who has time to call his political operative, Ms. Fluke and inquire over her hurt and sensitive feelings..as to whether she is doing okay?!!!
Yet the President of the United States, President Obama doesn’t called the injured, the maimed with lost limbs or burned their bodies over in our US military…
.Or call the families of our military men and women who sacrificed their very lives for their and our and his country…
Or call the families of our police men and women killed in the line of duty…Unless he simply calls them stupid…again!
Or call families who military members were murdered over the nonsense of Muslim PC handling of terrorists notes written into their supposed holy book…
Or call families out of work and hurting due to his moronic policies…
Or call a 14 year old white boy lit on fire by blacks who felt entitled to maim because of a president who has been a race baitor…
Or call the millions of people who have lost or are loosing their homes due to his policies..
.Or call the peopple raped at his occupy movement that he Obama encourages…
Or calls Mrs Breitbart!
Or calls the familes of the Seal Team 6, 40 of whom were killed because of Obama’s big mouth as he tried to take all credit for Osama’s death, that big leaky mouth should have been shut…Oh Obama and the Mrs are trying to wrap themselves in the flag now…the man who wouldn’t wear a flag pin, or put his hand over heart at the recital of the pledge, or recite the pledge, or as he referred to the military as raping and murdering innocents when he was a Senator…but now Obama wants to appear to be someone he is not…
Or calls and to call off his dogs to stop calling Governor Palin a whore and a c..t,
WHERE ARE THOSE CALLS ???
Guess it wasn’t about the narcissist in chief and his needs. Disgusting, soulless man. He is no Christian based only upon his behaviour…And were there ever a Manchurian candidate…they could certainly take lessons from Obama
Very well said. Thank you.
Bravo!
Excellent comment and I hope it circulates far and wide.
sharing~~thanks
This Fluke was simply the Administration’s diversion from Joe Arpaio’s investigation and Andrew Breitbart’s vetting.
Unfortunately, it worked.
Now, back to business.
Maybe that’s because of who he is.
Just a nit, but I thought she went to Georgetown University, not George Washington U. Georgetown’s address is listed as: 37th and O Streets, N.W., Washington D.C. 20057. Looks like it’s within 2 miles of a Planned Parenthood, and probably closer to a lot of places where she could get contraceptives for under $10/month. Entitled much?
Georgetown University is correct. It is the Catholic school.
GW University appears to be very liberal-leaning… wouldn’t have served Ms. Fluke’s agenda.
BTW, anyone know how long Ms. Fluke has been at Georgetown? Also, now that Ms. Fluke has made her deceitful intentions public, will she stay there? Just curious but it could be useful information.
It’s the media doing their thing for Obama.
Sun Times withholds information about Frawley’s Obama-bribe accusation

But surely the man that stands for the law, that protects the people and metes out justice …the Atticus Finch of our time…surely Patrick Fitzgerald does not know about this….Or if he did, well then, that would mean…
And what about the Chicago Tribune..and John Cass? Guess they don’t read the Suntimes either…
Justice delayed…is justice denied

1. This was never about contraception, it’s about increasing the reach of government and putting the emphasis on something other than the economy in an election year.
2. I’ve yet to hear a woman complain about the cost of contraception therefore price must not have been an issue before the controversy
3. How come it’s not discriminatory for Planned Parenthood to ask for photo ID in order to obtain contraception, but it’s VERY discriminatory for polling places to ask for photo ID in order to vote?
1. I’m assuming you’re a guy because my girlfriends talk about the cost of contraception a lot! Women aren’t going to share the same things with a man that they share with their girls. (Especially if they aren’t married or far into a relationship).
2. The thing is that most birth control patents haven’t expired, so unless there’s a reason why you can’t use “Ortho”, a woman is forced into using a brand-name drugs that are more expensive. I found that out when I tried to switch to the patch, which doesn’t have a generic.
Since I wasn’t interested in paying $40/month co-pay w/insurance, I went back to the pill which (as stated before) is $9/month w/out insurance.
In the end, there’s a lot of money to be made from women who want the convenience of a shot or a patch or the benefits associated with some new pill. There’s not a lot of money to be made if people figure out that it’s cheaper not to use their insurance and just pay the $9/month to WalMart/Target/Kroger. That means the insurance company isn’t getting a cut. The drug companies aren’t making a lot either.
This has nothing to do with “women’s health”, but $$ and who controls it and gets it. Like others have said, this isn’t about access.
I agree that the issue isn’t about contraception. Also, what’s disturbing is that the Left claims that because something isn’t provided “free of charge” to people, that they are being “denied access”. By conflating these two concepts, I fear that they are trying to establish a dangerous precedent. There’s NO issue with access at all, thank you very much.
Alternate headline: “Leftist Liar — But Then I Repeat Myself …”
It was a diversion. When will the GOP and right wing wake up? They are playing us and we fall for it every time.
I still think she might be a slut.
Hey, Ulsterman! Did you have to use that godawful picture of odumdum with this article? His ordinary pictures make me nauseous but this one makes me gag. Just kidding you, of course, but he obviously just thinks he is God’s (or Mohammed) gift to the world and I can just hear him thinking, “Don’t I look cute?” You know he just wants to be “cool”. The whole Fluke thing was just that! A fluke to distract and make the plea for more government give-aways.
My question is the girlz’ background prior to Cornell. Wikipedia has a listing for her straight out of Nancy Pelosi’s office. Just asking.
Every issue they use takes the light off of Eric Holder.
Not a slut? What else do you call a woman who seeks to screw the taxpayers so she can screw whatever man she wants?
with regard to the “friend with ovarian cysts” you might want to check out this link:
http://www.womenshealth.gov/publications/our-publications/fact-sheet/ovarian-cysts.cfm
It is quite informative since there are a few different types of cysts. Sometimes the treatment is to do nothing because the cyst will resolve. Other times surgery is required and yes there is a risk of the cyst being cancerous.
However, in some cases birth control pills might be prescribed to prevent ovulation in order to stop the cyst from forming. This is a case where I think that it is for medical reasons.
However, since PP has premised close to the university in question, then there would be no need to call upon university resources to fill the prescription.
If Fluke does not like the “restrictions of a Catholic University” then she should leave and go to one where she can continue to be the town bike and get her contraceptives at an affordable cost to herself.
On the other hand, the lying individual probably does not need contraceptives and she is just making those statents because she is a feminist nut case.
Has anyone checked White House visitor logs for Sandra Fluke’s name?
http://www.wnd.com/2012/03/is-this-why-sandra-fluke-testified/
Aaron Klein does an amazing job putting it together
She most certainly IS a slut! There is a photoshopped picture of her going around the net with her holding a poster saying “Occupy My V****a”. Sums her up pretty clearly I think.
Katherine Sebelius has come up with a solution today: Female law students will be allowed to remain covered on their parent’s health insurance policies until age 40 or until they become employed by the federal government under a Demoncratic administration.
The operative label for Ms. Flake is transparent laugable democrat political hack.
Why should we be surprised that the Democrats are manufacturing another distracting issue with political kabuki theater?
When the real issue of 1st Amendment rights was hurting them they quickly turned it into a “war on women”.
The sad part is how the MMM plays into the theatrics by validating the nonsense. So now we have to answer spurious charges of sexism…which just happens to play into Dems hands since they need a higher level of female voters in this election so they are trying to con them.
Thanks, TippingPoint, for the heads up on who’s behind all this…Podesta and other democratic operatives who never miss an manufactured opportunity to get a heads up on the ignorant voters who don’t realize they are being played.
We are just going to have to go after informed voters and hope they see through all this phony baloney.
