Does Barack Obama’s Defense Secretary Leon Panetta hold so little trust toward the American military that he would require them to make themselves defenseless inside a war zone when in his presence? Sadly – YES.
I admit to being a bit conflicted on this subject. It was Leon Panetta, and not Barack Obama, who truly initiated the killing of Osama Bin Laden – at least according to an Insider source who has proven accurate time and time again. (LINK) In fact President Obama, under the always-present guidance of senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, was once again dragging his feet on making any kind of decision – a scenario later detailed in part by the British press, but predictably ignored by American media.
The most damning evidence of an out-of-the-loop Barack Obama during the Bin Laden operation is the now-infamous situation room photo released AFTER Insider’s initial account that gives undebiable proof that the president was in fact taken off of the golf course and brought to the White House AFTER the Bin Laden raid was already underway. According to Insider – this was no accident. Leon Panetta coordinated the operation, kept the president and Jarrett insulated from that information, and then following its initiation, delivered a script for Barack Obama to follow that would allow him to take the credit for the operation’s successful conclusion – which, once that successful conclusion was determined – President Obama was only too happy to do.
Since that time though – Panetta’s position within the Obama administration has changed, going from CIA Director to Secretary of Defense shortly after the Osama Bin Laden killing. His tenure at Defense has been marked by a mixture of both open support and condemnation of Barack Obama’s continued attack against the American military. Initially warning against the extreme defense cuts the president wishes to initiate so as to spend that money on entitlement programs (a process surely initiated by Valerie Jarrett herself), the 73-year old Panetta’s warnings soon diminished and he has become a somewhat unwilling advocate of those same cuts – reductions by the way that include passing on increased healthcare costs to already underpaid American soldiers.
This past week though, when the Secretary of Defense made a trip to Afghanistan – a conflict that has descended into outright chaos under the failed leadership of Barack Obama, and demanded U.S. soldiers disarm in order to be in the presence of Panetta…I was quite literally left stunned. To have a Secretary of Defense – the second highest ranking civilian leader of the Armed Forces, require the very soldiers sworn to protect the United States…to have them left defenseless inside a war zone certainly speaks to the increasing mistrust between the Obama administration and the U.S. military.
Are you aware the number of American military casualties the first year of the Afghanistan conflict during the Bush administration? That number is 12.
Are you also aware of the number of American military casualties in Afghanistan after Barack Obama became president? That number is 317.
During the eight years the Bush administration oversaw the war in Afghanistan, 630 of this nation’s best gave their lives.
In the just over three years of the Obama administration overseeing military operations in Afghanistan, that number is nearly 1300 deaths.
In less than half the time, more than double the number of American military casualties in Afghanistan since Barack Obama became president.
And what of this sacrifice? How are these bravest of our American men and women treated when visited by the current Secretary of Defense? There exists so little trust between them and the Obama administration that they are required to disarm in his presence.

Afghanistan soldiers were required to disarm in the presence of VIPs, so — after the recent homicidal attack by one U.S. soldier — this was yet another form of appeasement so as not to hurt the feelings of Afghanistan soldiers (in essence, making them “equals” by disarming our own).
How many heroic soldiers or their families do you suppose Obama has personally phoned, but — while they’re risking their lives and he’s watching March Madness — he can phone the “heroic” Sandra Fluke?

Osama was killed long before Panetta “made the decision” as that was leaked by Dem opposition to the administration to make the Prez look weak. Benazir Bhutto made the announcement on Nov 2 2007 that Omar Sheikh had killed the terrorist, and she was assassinated on Dec 27 2007. The Prez slipped up on the timing of the DNA reports confirming it was in fact bin Laden as he could not wait till Christmas morning to open that package of praise from the American people. Is why some of the Team 6 SEALs were killed to keep the rest quiet, as it would have been too suspicious if only the ones involved in the raid had been in that Chinook.

My family is on the military end, but my friend is on the FBI end and you should see how that department was gutted & put on notice once Obama/Holder came to power. Ask the CIA about having their own investigated by this administration. After 26 years of service- the way some are forced out – leaves a bitter taste in one’s mouth.

Barry has handcuffed the military in Iraq and Afghanistan to further his agenda to undermine the morale of the troops and the economy in the US. Barry is too PC and narcissistic to allow the military to follow their own code.
Remember, Marine Col Terrence Lakin had embarrassed him by refusing to follow orders because there was no proof that Barry was a natural born citizen and therefore not a legitimate Commander in Chief. The military are sworn to protect and serve against all enemies foreign and domestic. This caused Barry to stutter, stumble and drool. In retaliation, he cuts them off. He rolls back their budget and ups the ante on their benefits. I can only imagine the hissy-fit he threw.
Then there’s the General McCrystal fiasco! Oh tell me that wasn’t Barry with his nose out of joint. You don’t demote someone for ‘going off the reservation’ on the basis of an article in Rolling Stone! And we all know who Rolling Stone shills for! He was a 4-star General, for fucks sake!
Ret. General Patreaus is now head of the CIA. What’s with that? Isn’t it odd that so many Field Commanders in the Military have retired? Hmmmmmmm And Panetta goes from CIA to Sec of Defense? BTW: An aortic tear is gradual to instantaneous discomfort and pain…but can be managed in hospital until the patient can be stabilized for surgery. I had a friend die from this..lingered 24-48 hours while Docs attempted to lower blood pressure enough to do surgery. She died before they could correct it.

I hate to say this, b/c it flies in the face of what I think most who read UM believe. I’m not so sure Panetta is the traitor everyone thinks he is. That truck bomb on the runway told Panetta that his arrival had been leaked by someone in the administration. SecDef’s arrival is rarely announced until a mere hours out. His ordering the soldiers and Marines to leave their weapons outside may have been more to SAVE his life then make the Afghans feel equal. How bad would it look if an Obama planted “soldier” was to shoot the SecDef during a speech on foreign soil. And why? B/c Panetta has shown openly (albeit not much lately) that he is willing to push back against the administration. Makes him an enemy of the administration then. If Panetta is one of the good ones, he can’t play all his hands now. The chess game is getting intense and Panetta knows we can’t afford to let BHO put another patsy into a senior cabinet position.

In communist countries the “security” apparatus is more powerful than the military. By the way do you remember when “Our Dear Leader” had a slip of tongue about his desire to have a second “civilian” force, in the good old USA, “mode powerful than the military”?

Obama also has plans for our young people down to age 10 or 12, last I heard. If I recall correctly, AmeriCorps will be involved in the plan for these young people, and guess who used to be a leader of “Public Allies” which is an affiliate of AmeriCorps… none other than Michelle Obama. On the surface, these programs seem like a worthwhile cause but, in reality, they will be nothing more than indoctrination (Hitler’s Brown Shirts come to mind).
Haven’t heard much, if anything, about these plans in the past 3 years, probably because things have not gone as smoothly as expected for the DemoniCrats (the Tea Party put a crimp in their style, IMO). Actually, Sec. Panetta and Obama need to be held to account for the apparent position expressed to Senator Jeff Sessions that the President does not need authorization from the Congress to take this country to war.
Yes, the president can act when an attack is imminent or has commensed, but Libya and now Syria where no threat to the United States exists, then, per the Constitution, the president must come to Congress for authorization.
