Joe Biden Screams – IT’S NOT OUR FAULT!

Another oddly unstable public appearance for Vice President Joe Biden has him pleading with voters to not blame President Obama and himself for the equally unstable American economy.  The problem for both Obama and Biden is that history proves otherwise…

Clearly the Obama campaign is going to repeat over and over again how they inherited the “worst recession” since the Great Depression and that it was the fault of the Bush administration nearly four years ago that is to blame for the economy today.  Let us take a quick review of the political facts to quickly dissprove the dishonest absurdity of that claim:

_____________

***Democrats – including then Senator Barack Obama, took over both Houses of Congress in 2007 and dominated the legislative agenda for the final two years of the second Bush term.  The Bush administration had little influence over Congress due to the overwhelming majority Democrats had at that time – a majority that was furthered in 2008, and continued until 2010 – meaning Democrats dominated Congress for four of the last six years – and to this day, continue to control both the White House and the United the United States Senate.

_____________

***Note this economic story from 2006 – BEFORE Democrats took over both houses of Congress:

July 11 (Bloomberg) — The Bush administration cut its estimate of this year’s budget deficit by 30 percent to $296 billion amid a surge in tax collections from corporations and wealthy individuals.

…The lower forecast for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 is driven by higher than expected tax receipts as the economy grew at an annual rate of 5.6 percent in the first quarter, the fastest in two and one-half years. Government revenue has risen 11 percent so far this year even as the war in Iraq — a total of $319 billion so far — and the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast after last year’s hurricanes — more than $100 billion — has pushed up spending.  LINK

_____________

***Look at this headline from October of 2007 – mere months BEFORE Barack Obama became president, and Democrats solidified overwhelming majorities in Congress:
U.S. 2007 Budget Deficit Falls to $163 Billion

Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. government posted the smallest budget deficit in five years as tax revenue reached a record and spending rose at the slowest pace in George W. Bush’s presidency.

The deficit narrowed to $162.8 billion in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, the third straight annual decline and lowest since $158 billion in 2002, the Treasury Department said today in Washington.    LINK

_____________

***Now look at this headline on the economy just ONE YEAR AFTER Democrats took over Congress:
Deficit up by $246 billion in a year. Federal agency cites ‘substantial increase in spending’ and ‘halt’ in tax revenue growth. Also says it will add Fannie and Freddie to future estimates.

The budget deficit shot up 153% from last year’s shortfall of $161 billion. The government’s fiscal year ends Sept. 30. The agency attributes the jump to “a substantial increase in spending and a halt in the growth of tax revenues.”  LINK

______________

***And finally this headline from October 2009 – three years after Democrats took over Congress, and a full year into Barack Obama’s presidency when his administration had the power to pass anything and everything it wanted:
U.S. Deficit for 2009 Totals $1.4 Trillion, Budget Office Says

The U.S. government ended its 2009 fiscal year with a deficit of $1.4 trillion, the biggest since 1945, the Congressional Budget Office reported.

The deficit amounted to 9.9 percent of the nation’s economy, triple the size of the shortfall for 2008.

The nonpartisan CBO said yesterday the government was squeezed on both sides of the budget ledger in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30. Tax revenue fell by $420 billion, or 17 percent, to the lowest level in more than 50 yearsLINK

______________

DESPITE JOE BIDEN AND BARACK OBAMA’S REPEATED CLAIMS IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT - THE DEMOCRATS AND THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OVERSAW AN INCREASE IN THE FEDERAL YEAR TO YEAR BUDGET DEFICIT OF OVER 500%  THAT IS THE VERY SAME KIND OF FISCAL INSANITY THAT NOW THREATENS TO DESTROY EUROPE’S ECONOMY – DESTRUCTION THAT COULD THEN EASILY SPREAD QUICKLY TO THE UNITED STATES.

UNDER BARACK OBAMA, UNEMPLOYMENT DOUBLED, GAS AND FOOD PRICES CONTINUE TO INCREASE RAPIDLY, DEFICIT SPENDING IS UP 500%, BILLIONS HAVE BEEN WASTED ON FAILED STIMULUS WHERE YOUR TAX DOLLARS WERE GIVEN TO PAY OFF POLITICAL SUPPORTERS OF THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE, AND PRESIDENT OBAMA HIMSELF HAS REPEATEDLY ATTEMPTED TO DIVIDE AMERICANS AGAINST ONE ANOTHER AND APOLOGIZE TO THE WORLD FOR AMERICA’S INHERENT GREATNESS AS A NATION.

WITH THAT TRUTH IN MIND, NOW WATCH VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN’S CRYING OVER HOW THE CONTINUED DISASTER INFLICTED UPON THE AMERICAN ECONOMY IS NOT BARACK OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATS’ FAULT AND KNOW IT FOR WHAT IT REALLY IS – ABSOLUTE BOLLOCKS ON THE PART OF THIS CRY-BABY OBAMA ADMINISTRATION:

    • As WSI said in his last communication, it certainly is appearing as though the bad economy under Obama is no accident. Despite the words of Joe Biden.

    • Biden is a caricature of a caricature of a character in a movie.

There’s an interesting quote from the movie Forrest Gump, where Wesley (Jenny’s girlfriend) tries to excuse his abusive behavior with “it’s that damned Johnson.” Right. Johnson made him do it. President Johnson made him beat Jenny.

I can hear both Biden and Obama now: “It’s that damn Bush.”
Everything that goes wrong, including Solyndra (*which Bush adroitly refused to bankroll) and it must be President Bush’s fault. Tell us another one, Wesley!

    • ENCOURAGEMENT ? — Just hearing on Rush that his listeners have GREATLY multiplied and he is getting tons of e-mails about how this is the FIRST time they’ve heard these things re Obama (they are mostly libs & previously had only listened to “their” MSM). They say they are shocked they didn’t hear this before and now are faithful Rush fans. This is good news!!!
Also – for a while now I’ve been wondering about the Clintons, as I’ve posted before and about the possibility of Hillary running. Then since these newest revelations have come out, I’m wondering how much of this, such as the literary agent saying he was born in Kenya booklet, is the work of Bill – letting these out. From what I’ve read, he has known about how fraudulent Obama is from the start and it was Hillary’s campaign that brought it up back then so they probably knew about this latest thing about Kenya.
Then I heard Rush say today he thinks the SAME — he is wondering how much of this stuff is from him – since he has been “undercutting” Obama when he can.
Let’s just say I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
If so, we’ll probably be hearing more. So if we have the “Insiders” working on this, and the Clintons, people like Ed Klein (who is Jewish and had voted for him but has “seen the light”) writing revealing books, besides the Consv. programs & sites – very encouraging. MORE !!!

      • Today’s “South Florida Sun-Sentinel” has front-page story showing Hillary Clinton having 68% favorability rating among Florida voters – the highest favorability among 7 politicians rated in a poll conducted this month (May). Jeb Bush was only other pol getting above 50%. Others – Obama, Romney, Sen. Bill Nelson, Sen. Marco Rubio, and Gov. Rick Scott polled only at or below 50% (with Scott lowest at 37% favorable).

Another sign that water is being tested for possible Hillary run?

    • *shrug* Ok, so let’s say for sake of argument that it isn’t their fault. What have they done over the last 3 and a half years to fix it? Zero, zip, zilch, nada, but a bunch of stupid Keynesian policies that have just made a bad situation worse.

It’s your baby now Joe. YOU idiots own it.

    • Well done Ulsterman. Nice laying out of the facts. I could feel your passion for this jumping right off the page.
