Obama Administration Intimidation – “We Need To F-ck These Guys – We Need To Take Them Down”

Following last week’s House contempt vote against Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, more evidence proves an aggressive campaign by administration officials to silence whistleblowers attempting to tell the truth about the failed and deadly Fast and Furious gunrunning operation.

In a Friday letter to the DOJ’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Grassley and Issa said they’re now concerned retaliation is much more likely following Thursday’s votes to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal and civil contempt of Congress.

“We just learned that ATF senior management placed two of the main whistleblowers who have testified before Congress about Fast and Furious under the supervision of someone who vowed to retaliate against them,” they wrote before describing how senior political figures have made dangerous threats before.

Grassley and Issa said that in early 2011, right around the time Grassley first made public the whistleblowers’ allegations about Fast and Furious, Scot Thomasson – then the chief of the ATF’s Public Affairs Division – said, according to an eyewitness account: “We need to get whatever dirt we can on these guys [the whistleblowers] and take them down.”

Thomasson also allegedly said that: “All these whistleblowers have axes to grind. ATF needs to f—k these guys.”

According to Grassley and Issa, when Thomasson was asked about whistleblowers’ allegations that guns were allowed to walk, Thomasson said he “didn’t know and didn’t care.”   LINK

      • Is anyone surprised here??? This behavior is the tone set at the top, remember Ken Salazar’s “boot on the neck” comment after Gulf oil disaster and EPA admin’s speech on terrorizing communities, etc…? The only person fired from this admin was Gen McChrystal for supposedly criticizing Obama, not for incompetence, yet Holder’s Justice is corrupt and applying justice only for some, its disgraceful. Brian Tery’s death and the deaths of 300+ Mexican citizens are on his hands.

Obama has achieved elected office by Axelrod’s intimidation and distortions all along!! He is a nasty, angry petulant child, unfortunately he has the keys to too much power, power he has been expanding daily. And the American people are the losers for this, BUT no person is greater then this country and its time to stand up again and correct this horrible problem.

      • the whistle blowers have to be aware that there are targets on their backs. They can be made “victims” in a New York minute – every LEO knows how that can work…

    • That’s certainly consistent with the description of the culture of the new ATF as described in Katie Pavlich’s Fast and Furious. This is endemic in all the federal bureaucracies under 0bama and his gang of Chicago thugs. Hopefully fiscal necessity will make it easier to purge them out after 0bama is removed from office.

    • No, Mr. Thomasson Traitor, YOU and all other treasonous ATF, DOJ, EPA, IMF, WH, ETC. rats will be taken down in the near future….and it just might a lot further DOWN than you thought or believed………

From now forward, do NOT hesitate to state in private and ‘public’ that this economy is crummy and we need a change in NOVEMBER! Do not be afraid and do not back down, because you are right. Be brave and tell everyone you know that this is the worse economy you have ever dealt with and Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are to blame.

Don’t back down. You are right! This is the way to win. Be brave and be outspoken as though your very life depends on the next election! Look at your children and realize why you are doing this! They deserve a better future then what ObamaTAX will do to them!

    • I have been thinking about the F and F operation. I can’t figure out why Obama would engage in such a stupid operation. I know he wants to curtail second amendment rights but that doesn’t seem sufficient to me. Could the administration have been paid off by the drug cartels? Obama would then have a direct profit which seems more in keeping with his character. I haven’t seen this theory elsewhere just curious.

      • Regardless of his character, what is in keeping are his words. From the beginning of his term in 2009, all we heard was noise that the problem in Mexico was due to American guns walking over the border. There’s a ton of sound bites of speeches made both on the border and within Mexico.

Also soon after taking office, we have the DHS letter stating that a vast majority of Americans are to be considered suspicious for domestic terrorism purposes.

Add to that the now infamous speech by Obama to develop a “civilian security force” because our Military was just not sufficient to do what needed to be done.

It’s all about gun control. A public unable to defend itself as protected under the constitution is easily controlled.

          • The Right set the stage for that corruption. We should destroy the cartels in the time immemorial way. Legalize. Because the harder we fight the cartels the stronger they get.

            • Absolutely!!!

As I’ve mentioned before, we need look no further than Bill Buckley. For conservatives, there’s no risk of losing face by adopting ideas recommended by the same man who started the National Review!!!

And, to think, we would actually have something worth taxing! And, dealers would have to pay hefty annual licenses and would be required to have queaky clean histories.

I’ve never forgotten a poem I read in some history class, many years ago. This was published in a newspaper, during Prohibition:

“Prohibition is an awful flop. We like it. It can’t stop what it’s meant to stop. We like it. It’s left a trail of graft and slime, It don’t prohibit worth a dime, It’s filled our land with vice and crime. Nevertheless, we’re for it.”

            • Found a reference:

According to Wikipedia, the poem was written by columnist Franklin P. Adams and published in New York World, in response to the findings of the Wickersham commission.

The Wickersham commission, while still supporting Prohibition, essentially identified it as a major cause of organized crime and acknowledged the widespread unpopularity among the general population. It also pointed out the failure of the Volstead Act to effectively enforce Prohibition…largely due to antipathy within law enforcement

            • Very good point.

Not to mention that the (by his own admission, in his ghost-written autobiography) Pothead-in-Chief probably has an unlimited supply of Acapulco Gold to keep him occupied for the 22 out of every 24 hours that he does absolutely nothing.

    • just-saying
    • What is Scot Thomasson’s current position? [If he truly said “We need to get whatever dirt we can on these guys [the whistleblowers] and take them down.” OR “All these whistleblowers have axes to grind. ATF needs to f—k these guys”, he should no longer be working for the federal government, in any capacity.

(I infer he’s no longer the chief of the ATF’s Public Affairs Division.)

    • Off topic~~~

Ulsterman, please ask White House Inside to elaborate on the Eric Holder Impeachment mayhem and more of his political analysis on it, ok?

Also, could he please expound on the SCOTUS ruling or does he feel he has said enough concerning it and the fact he thinks it is good for Republicans going into November’s election? I really wish he would give us a little more information.

White House Insider, thanks for all you have done! We appreciate you.

Wall Street Insider~~ You’re always in our prayers– May God be with you and may He place the right physicians and caretakers in your presence. Amen. Jer. 29:11

WSI, keep your chin up! Victory is yours, ours and America’s so let’s plan to see this through.

May God be with all of you and all of us during this valley experience in America. There is a mountain top experience on the eve of November 06th for all of us!

      • LOL – I came here after posting the very same thing on the previous thread – in case most didn’t see it there. I was VERY pleased to see that and hope for MORE! Pass on. Excerpts:
“Earlier this year, a former senior Pentagon official who has battled Marxism around the globe (Ret. Lt. Gen. William Boykin) released a video warning that … Obama is following in the footsteps of Fidel Castro, Joseph Stalin and others who have led communist revolutions in their nations…

The reality is … I’ve studied Marxist insurgency. It was part of my training. And the things I know that have been done in every Marxist insurgency are being done in America today.”
Boykin laid out a step-by-step plan he says is the model of how Fidel Castro instituted Marxism in Cuba, Mao Zedong in China, Stalin in Russia and Hugo Chavez in Venezuela:

Boykin takes particular aim at Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which he says federal administrators have already admitted is a wealth-redistribution plan (step No. 2) and he says includes within its 1,000 pages plans for national security forces at the president’s disposal, akin to national police forces socialist tyrants like Adolf Hitler used to complete their revolutions…

“Get out and do something to help stop this. Use the constitutional tools that our Founding Fathers gave us. Let you congressman know how you feel about this. Be a pain in their neck by constantly emailing and calling them. Find candidates that represent your values as a Constitution-believing American, and get out and get active in some of these movements that are trying to reverse what’s happing in America.”

        A comment there:
“When currently serving and former military openly talks like this you know something is brewing behind the scenes…”

        • bill o'rights
        • Sorry! Didn’t see your post!

Absolutely agree that it’s a good omen when former, high-ranking military officers begin publicly coming out with statements like this! Even more compelling, he isn’t beating around the bush. He’s outright saying, ‘Hey, this looks like a Marxist coup!’

My kind of guy…pulling no punches and calling a spade a spade.
