“Food Poisoning”

Received a personal call this morning from the Old Man (who is apparently following comments being left at theulstermanreport.com) demanding I give readers a quick update as speculation has been growing  regarding my condition.  Today was the first day in just over 48 hours I have been available to respond to any incoming messages.

I became very ill very fast a few nights back.  Enough to require a visit to the Emergency Room that led to my quickly being sent down to Intensive.  What I perceived as simple flu like symptoms was taken far more seriously by the ER staff due to my being quite dehydrated to the point my vitals were rather… “inconsistent”.  Heart was hammering and I apparently suffered a brief seizure, which I later learned is somewhat common when severe dehydration sets in.  The possible culprit for my condition was given as being most likely some particularly aggressive form of food poisoning – though the specific cause remains unknown.

I have little memory of about 12 hours  – a time where staff were racing to input fluids at a greater rate than they were being expelled.  The good news is once that took place, my recovery was both strong and swift, though I remain much weaker than I care to admit and my guts feel as if they’ve been kicked in by the entire Manchester United squad.

My apologies for the delay in the latest interview conducted with Wall Street Insider and the figure I will now simply refer to as Military Insider.  The interview was lengthy and incredibly informative, though I must now muster the strength to transcribe and publish as soon as possible before this information loses its timeliness.

I hope to do just that by the end of the week.

    • THANK GOD!!!

There are strange things happening on the net this week and the recent ramping up in the Gulf is a bigtime red flag. The administration has just sent more military resources abroad, so domestic military numbers are reduced. Also, DHS and ICE just shut down 843(?) domestic websites.

We have nine days left until Hillary wraps up the final draft of the U.N. weapons ban in New York. The Marxists need this. Should the senate vote go against their will, they will adopt its policies anyway…just as they are ignoring welfare reform.

    • It is possible you were poisoned on purpose UM? Just thought I would put that out there. I was really getting worried about you.

      • That is the first thing that popped into my mind. If I were in your position, and I didn’t remember eating something questionable, I would have asked the doctors to run toxicology tests on me. It’s a scary thought. but I really don’t think anything is beyond these people.

    • Better get some experts on the your case and maybe some good investigative tracers also. This smells bad to me. Glad you escaped from “whatever.”

The enemy has not and will not stop at anything. We should know this by now and this is a completely new political ball game….no more Leibermans as the political opposition: what we face now is as dark as it gets.

    • Like Mark Twain, FORTUNATELY the reports of UM’s ‘death have been greatly exaggerated’.

      Food poisoning.
      Not so good.

Nonetheless, time to reflect and realize how easily panic mode can set it.

Ugly road ahead . . . must remain cool, calm, collected, and . . . cynical.

      • Funny – that’s exactly what I thought of that I hoped he would come back and say that (Mark Twain qoote)! Ha! Well, he didn’t – but you did !!!!! LOL

        • Actually, I, too, had hoped to see the Twain quote heading UM’s posting.

Long slog until election day . . . and, ultimately, inauguration day. Paranoia’s dangerous, albeit justified, in the prevailing rancid atmosphere of mistrust, courtesy of Dear Leader & Co.

    • Thank God you are ok! I have been down that dehydration road and it’s not a pleasant ordeal! Please take care of yourself and every precaution you can to get better. We need you healthy, take some time and get your strength back. Don’t rush things, the story can wait a couple of days, just get better. We still have a long road ahead. Thank you for everything you and the Insiders are doing for this great country.

    • Ulsterman,

I, and many more give a gigantic sigh of relief and a prayer of thanks. Do not forget Claudius and Agripinilla’s mushrooms.Food “accidents” are an old tradition.I suggest a secure network be set up with a few trusted friends, who can be tasked with letting the public know in the event of any suh trouble. Within my own little circle I have already taken such measure. Each of us – you, UM, most of all are both scout and tripwire outpost as well as analyst. Solzhenitsyn teaches that maintaining a public face gives a dissident an amout of security – he can not be disappeared anonymously. Take care, you, and the Insiders have already proven your raw courage, now you need to preserve yourselves for the final victory. God Preserve you all!

    • Not Breitbarted…good thing.

      by JOEL B. POLLAK 18 Jul 2012, 6:09 AM PDT 263 POST A COMMENT

As the Obama campaign and the media continue to press Mitt Romney to release more of his tax returns, and to suggest–without a shred of evidence–that he is a “felon,” it is worth noting how much critical information Barack Obama has withheld from view–both as a candidate in 2008, and during his term in office. Here is a Breitbart News top ten list of things that Obama has refused to release (a complete list would fill volumes):
      10. State senate papers. In the 2008 primary, Obama criticized Hillary Clinton for not releasing papers from her eight years as First Lady–but failed to produce any papers from his eight years in Springfield. “They could have been thrown out,” he said.
      9. Academic transcripts. His supposed academic brilliance was a major selling point, but Obama (by his own admission) was a mediocre student. His GPA at Occidental was a B-plus at best, and his entering class at Columbia was weak. Can he prove his merit?
      8. Book proposal. Obama’s literary agent claimed he was “born in Kenya”–for sixteen years. His original book proposal exists–biographer David Maraniss refers to it–and seems to have embellished other key details of his life. Yet it has never been released.
      7. Medical records. In 2000, and again (briefly) in 2008, GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain released thousands of pages of his medical records. Obama, who had abused drugs and continued smoking, merely provided a one-page doctor’s note.
      6. Small-dollar donors. In 2008, the McCain campaign released the names of donors who had contributed less than $200, though it was not required to do so. But the Obama campaign refused, amidst accusations it had accepted illegal foreign contributions.
      5. The Khalidi tape. In 2003, Obama attended a party for his good friend, the radical Palestinian academic Rashid Khalidi. The event featured incendiary anti-Israel rhetoric. The LA Times broke the story, but has refused to release the tape–and so has Obama.
      4. The real White House guest list. Touting its transparency, the Obama White House released its guest logs–but kept many visits secret, and moved meetings with lobbyists off-site. It also refused to confirm the identities of visitors like Bertha Lewis of ACORN.
      3. Countless FOIA requests. The Obama administration has been described as “the worst” ever in complying with Freedom of Information Act requests for documents. It has also punished whistleblowers like David Walpin, who exposed cronyism in Americorps.
      2. Health reform negotiations. Candidate Obama promised that health care reform negotiations would be televised on C-SPAN. Instead, there were back-room deals woth millions with lobbyists and legislators–the details of which are only beginning to emerge.
      1. Fast and Furious documents. After months of stonewalling Congress, Attorney General Eric Holder asked President Obama to use executive privilege to conceal thousands of documents related to the deadly scandal–and Obama did just that.
In addition to the above, Obama and his campaign have lied about many facts about his past–his membership in the New Party; his extensive connections with ACORN; and his continued relationship with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright, among other examples. Obama’s own memoir is filled with fabrications. And now he is lying about his opponent’s honorable record in business. He–and the media–

    • Thank God and the angels you are alright, UM. The speculations were becoming rampant! Will pray for your continued swift recovery and also for the good health of all The Insiders.

Life feels very dangerous to all of us and unusual silences cause great panic. You are our link to the truth of what’s happening out there. Please take care and avail yourself of any help offered!

    • Real glad to hear from you. Glad you’re OK. And thanks to the Old Man too. You’d have been from across the pond I would have bet on heavy bleu, blanc, rouge hangover with WHI:).

Yet, think hard and long on what would have caused your ailment. Be careful.

    • Yes, thank you God! We pray for your safety, protection all the time.

I’m happy my last post re your “disappearance” was correct – I had thought that maybe one explanation would be that you are in a hospital and unable to communicate…”something” unexpected. We all hope you get protection.
Thanks also, WSI for getting on his case about letting us know. Ha!
We were getting really worried since it came a day after that guy, Okrent.
Too many mysterious dead bodies you know……
Yes, just rest and get well – we’ll all be waiting for the interviews with the Insiders…it’s really getting more and more scary.

    • Thanks be to God.

UM, get well soon, so glad you’re okay.

Boy it is a good thing you went to the ER. Symptoms more serious than flu, indeed. 2012 is the year of weird.

“Received a personal call this morning from the Old Man …. demanding I give readers a quick update as speculation has been growing regarding my condition….” WHI did say WSI can pick up a phone and make things happen, didn’t he? And thank the Lord.

    • I am so grateful you are okay. You had us all worried. The folks that read your posts watch daily. We are all your friends. Even if we don’t know you. Friends stick together. Thank you so much WSI for giving our dear friend a call. We didn’t mean to panic (me included) but there are so many things happening right now. We just want you to stay safe. We are all out here in cyberspace wanting like hell to watch your back. Hands get tied when we’re uncertain. Hugs to you UM! Here’s to a speedy recovery.

    • WOW UM, I feel for you. I was routinely food poisoned on the campaign trail and got very finicky about what I’d eat. Glad you are OK, I thought maybe the Commies got you–I wouldn’t put anything past that scumbag at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave–or AxelDouche either!

Former Navy SEAL Launches PAC To Fight Obama
      By Hunter Walker 2:01pm

Ryan Zinke in his Navy days. (Photo: IraqVetsForCongress.com)
Today, Ryan Zinke, an ex-Navy SEAL and Montana State Senator, announced the launch of Special Operations for America, a political action committee dedicated to “the election of Mitt Romney and like-minded candidates.”
“Navy SEAL’s, Special Operations Personnel and Veteran’s across America have been outraged since Barack Obama conveniently took credit for killing Osama Bin Laden for political gain,” a statement announcing the launch of SOFA said. “The active duty military has no voice as they are forbidden to publicly engage in the political campaign process and it is career suicide for senior military leaders to speak out against the President.”

Mr. Zinke, who has frequently slammed the president’s handling of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, reiterated his criticisms of the operation.

“The President has failed and he is jeopardizing the safety of our troops, their families and our National security for political gain. Obama has exposed the identity of special operations units, leaked classified information, and limited the rules of engagement of forces on the ground,” said Mr. Zinke. “For those who have taken an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, it is a call of duty to take back America from a Commander-in-Chief that is incapable of understanding the sacrifices that have been made for the values that have made America great.”

Mr. Zinke has served in the Montana State Senate since 2009. According to Afghanistan and Iraq Veterans for Congress, a political action committee dedicated to electing Republican vets, Mr. Zinke was a member of SEAL Team Six, the elite unit that killed Bin Laden, from 1990 until 1993 and from 1996 until 1999. He held several titles including Task Force Commander. In 2004, In 2004, was named “Deputy and acting Commander, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM” in that capacity he “led a force of over 3500 Special Operations personnel in Iraq in the conduct of 360 combat patrols, 48 Direct Action missions, and hundreds of sensitive operations” and “was responsible for killing or capturing 72 known enemy insurgents and terrorists.”

    • I’m glad that everything is okay. I’m also glad that I didn’t get sucked into speculation about what happened.

Do what you need to do to feel better – the weather’s been horrible this summer, so it’s not too surprising to hear the word “dehydrated”. We understand.

Not to step on any boundaries or egos here, but I’m wondering if it might be a good idea to find volunteers to transcribe your interviews because we are close to the election and as we’ve seen, our community is here and willingly to do what is necessary to defeat Obama.

Just putting it out there. I’m sure that others would be willing to step up if you let them know what your needs are.

      JULY 18, 2012 4:00 A.M.
      Dismantling of a Culture
America’s elites now disdain the rest of America.
      An NRO Interview

      David Gelernter

David Gelernter, the Yale professor of computer science, has an alarming yet cautiously exuberant book out, America-Lite: How Imperial Academia Dismantled Our Culture (and Ushered In the Obamacrats). He tells us where we are and how and why we got here, and gives readers a pep talk,   encouraging them to be the light (not “lite”) we need. He talks about it all with National Review Online’s Kathryn Jean Lopez.

KATHRYN JEAN LOPEZ: Is there a precise moment where you can say, yes, yes, this is the moment when America went “lite”?

DAVID GELERNTER: The Cultural Revolution itself began right after World War II (when our leading colleges were still in the hands of the generally centrist WASP elite) and culminated around 1970, when intellectuals were in control, and preparing to use these universities as platforms for imposing their worldview throughout the schools’ establishment and cultural elite.

So America went lite starting around 1970. The big change was complete by the 1980s: In ’83, “A Nation at Risk” described the mediocrity of our schools; in ’87, Bloom’sClosing of the American Mind described the intellectual corruption of our universities. Both times, these disasters had (of course) already happened. And Bill Bennett, secretary of education under Reagan from ’85 to ’88, repeatedly drew the nation’s attention to this cultural disaster.

So by (say) 1990, America-Lite was a done deal. Each year since, we’ve seen a new crop of largely ignorant high-school and college graduates (children we have failed to educate) released into an ever dumber and denser cultural atmosphere.

LOPEZ: Is it a bit dramatic to call what’s happened here an actual “cultural revolution”? Was there blood? Mandates?

GELERNTER: American culture had its throat slit and bled to death at our feet. Isn’t that revolutionary enough? The blood is only metaphorical, but to the 40 percent of [all] infants [who are] born to single mothers this year, the consequences will be real.

In a piddling few decades, the world’s most powerful, influential cultural establishment happened to get demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. What had been basically a Christian, patriotic, family-loving, politically moderate part of society became contemptuous of biblical religion, of patriotism, of the family, of American greatness. The American cultural elite used to resemble (more or less) the rest of America. Today it disdains the rest of America. That’s a revolution.

Example: Look at (just) the arts in 1960 vs. 1990. In 1960, the whole country knew Robert Frost’s poetry; Leonard Bernstein was reaching large TV audiences for classical music with his Young People’s Concerts on CBS; theater and ballet were thriving, reaching larger audiences all the time; Hemingway was only the most famous of America’s serious novelists; and American avant-garde painting was a topic for Lifemagazine. (And European artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, and Giacometti were international celebrities.) In 1990, silence. High culture had become a term to laugh at. No blood; no mandates. Just an empty lot covered with weeds where the art used to be.

LOPEZ: Why is the “smashing of etiquette” so important? When I let — and expect and welcome — a man to hold the door for me and let me have the first cab again, will I know we’ve come through this storm?

GELERNTER: If these things are done in the archly cynical, self-conscious, self-mocking, God-forbid-I-should-actually-be-serious style in which we specialize (we post-cultural zombies) then of course they’ll mean nothing.

But if they’re done as a matter of course — like speaking grammatically — then (trivial as they are in themselves) they will speak eloquently about the actor and the society he comes from. These things used to be important because they said “this is an ‘ought’ society where we take our duties as seriously as our rights — not an inch-deep, egomaniac society where our rights are sacred but our duties are all owed to ourselves.”

LOPEZ: What was the “Great Reform” and what’s most important for us to understand about it today?

GELERNTER: In 1945, Yale and Harvard and their colleague institutions, America’s most powerful and influential colleges, were mostly run by and for the WASP elite. They all had intellectuals and scholars among their populations, but the ideal students, faculty, deans, and presidents were social and not intellectual leaders. The Great Reform was a beautiful impulse with dreadful consequences. The major colleges opened their gates to Jews, blacks, women, and other once-excluded groups.

Mark Levin Is Right on Romney Tax Returns
      July 17, 2012 – 8:30 pm - by J. Christian Adams

Mark Levin is defending Mitt Romney’s refusal to release his tax returns, and he’s right for a couple of reasons.  First, if Obama had been entirely transparent (read: college transcripts and Fast and Furious, to name two), then Romney should play by the same rules.  But Obama’s murky academic past remains murky, and his administration’s lack of transparency has been astounding.

Second, if Romney releases his tax records, they will be descended upon by a pack of hyenas disguised as CPAs and a mischief of rats disguised as political consultants.  The benign will be presented as malignant by liars.  The cost of enabling liars is higher than the cost of the status quo.

Third, and perhaps most of all, Romney should resist release to prove he knows how to fight like his enemies do,not like his friends don’t.  Savor this gem: “In all likelihood, he won’t be able to maintain a position that looks secretive and is a departure from campaign conventions.”

Really?  Says who? The New York Times?  The Chattering Class?  Perhaps Peggy Noonan?

Enough already. Enough with “all likelihood” equivocation and highbrow invocation of “campaign conventions.”  The Left knows how to brawl.  The Left knows how to create new “campaign conventions” from scratch.  It’s time that conservatives recognize that the rules they thought governed campaigns in 1992 no longer apply.  This crowd we are up against has rewritten the book on governance, on politics, on convention, all in the name of rewriting the book on America.

Romney can show he understands what he is up against by ignoring the debating society on the right. He should roll up his sleeves and swing.  He should release his tax returns after Obama releases his academic records and Holder releases Fast and Furious documents to Chairman Issa — and plainly say so.

      • truthandjustice
      • Interesting…..yes, re Romney & tax returns – Rush agrees. Said they want him to only for their benefit – so they could go through and have a field day making up stories about whatever – bash him more – distract. It’s still the stupid Establishment elites again – they are so easily frightened whenever they demand something like this, fearing they will lose Independent votes and all that garbage. They are so easily intimidated and still don’t seem to get it after all these years. They think if they give them what they demand, the issue will go away. LOL Glad Romney seems to see that. Now he needs to also see the “real” Obama (like the recent rant about how you aren’t the one responsible for success – the Govnt is). That seemed to strike a nerve and he got pretty agitated. I hope Obama keeps saying more that really reveals his true beliefs and keeps Romney agitated & wake him and the elites up for a change and before it’s too late. No – HE IS NOT A NICE GUY !!!!!

        • “Nice”…. is for Mary Tyler Moore…

I believe if the MWCHBHO were left to his own devices he would probably put Hitler, Mao and Stalin to shame.
Evil is a far more appropriate adjective..

          • Yup.

I think this psychopath is chomping at the bit for unbridled payback. Payback against whitey. Payback against America. But, mostly, payback for being born and being rejected by both father and mother.

            • Stirrin the B.S.
            • @bo’r – couldn’t agree more. Unbridled payback is the key phrase. Why do think he is weening himself off the teleprompter? He’ll be writing his own script if he wins re-election, and he needs to learn how to speak from his (dark, evil) heart rather than from a speechwriter’s digital script.

    • Communists abound in the Obama Administration…the Red Diaper Baby Brigade…embraced by the damaged, the demented, disillusioned and the disgruntled …

The Communist Mentor: Frank Marshall Davis
Obama’s mentor was a key figure in the USSR’s plan to subvert American blacks.

      July 17, 2012 – 12:00 am

Were it not for the collective willful amnesia on the part of academia and the media regarding communist subversion in the United States, would Barack Obama be in the White House today?

The question comes to mind when reading Paul Kengor’s intriguing political mystery tale about “Frank,” Obama’s much-admired mentor in Dreams from My Father. His identity has been established as Frank Marshall Davis (by biographers sympathetic to Obama). In The Communist, Frank Marshall Davis: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mentor, Kengor presents a gripping narrative about a man who represents an ignored part of American history: the exploitation of African Americans by the Soviet Union for subversive purposes.

The communists’ campaign began in the 1920s. Then, the Comintern was preparing to bring a dozen black Americans to Moscow for training in propaganda and agitation for a separate “Negro Republic” in the South (that would then join a workers’ uprising in the North). Among the dupes: Paul Robeson, who went on to fame and fortune as a result; Richard Wright, who went on to repudiate communism; and Lovett Fort-Whiteman, who was among the dozen who moved to the USSR in 1930 and who perished in the gulag after daring to object to being kept from returning to the United States.

The other ignored history is that of Barack Obama, who before he even held elective office provided an autobiography with the mystery man “Frank.” When Frank Marshall Davis’s FBI file was obtained and posted online by investigative journalist Cliff Kincaid, the mainstream media ignored it. In May 2008, when Kincaid held a press conference releasing a report on Davis coauthored with Herb Romerstein, they were mocked by Washington Post reporter Dana Milbank. As the 2008 campaign season geared up, reporters for AP, the Washington Post, and Newsweek ignored the evidence about Davis’s communism, even as they wrote profiles of the mentor.

But we need go back only one generation to see the influence of card-carrying Communists spread wide. Davis’s close associates included the father-in-law of Valerie Jarrett, and the father of David Axelrod’s mentor. After Davis moved to Chicago in 1934 and began writing for the Associated Negro Press, he met Robert Taylor, maternal grandfather of Valerie Jarrett. (Davis officially joined the Communist Party USA during World War II.) In 1948, he worked with Valerie’s future father-in-law, someone who had been involved in communist activities since at least his election to the Illinois CPUSA youth wing. Davis and Vernon Jarrett worked together on the Packing-House Committee, a communist group.

Also involved in the Packing-House Committee was the Canter family, whose patriarch Harry Canter served as secretary of the Boston Communist Party and ran for governor of Massachusetts in 1930 on the Communist Party ticket. Harry was the father of David Canter, who pleaded the Fifth before the House Committee on Un-American Activities. David Canter became mentor to David Axelrod.

      Kengor untangles the web:

Frank [Marshall Davis] mentored Obama. The Canter family mentored David Axelrod, who helped get Barack Obama elected president [and who is now his Communications Director for his reelection campaign]. Vernon Jarrett’s daughter-in-law is Valerie Jarrett. Robert R. Taylor, Frank’s “anti-war” and “civil liberties” pal, was Jarrett’s grandfather. Valerie Jarrett and Axelrod became Obama’s top two presidential advisors.

To uncover Davis’s views, Kengor investigates Davis’s FBI file, the Congressional record, and Davis’s autobiographical and newspaper writing, including the nearly lost columns Davis wrote for the Atlanta Daily World from 1931 until 1934 (uncovered by Kengor’s intrepid researcher Spyridon Mitsotakis). In Chicago, Davis wrote for the Associated Negro Press, and then for the Communist Chicago Star. He moved to Hawaii in 1948 when the Honolulu Record, his last employer, was launched by the Communist Party of Hawaii. Kengor describes Davis’s columns as in “lockstep with Moscow,” and proves it with extensive quotations. He called himself a “progressive” and mocked anti-communists, but Davis was working as a propagandist to overthrow the United States government.

This could be dismissed as circumstantial in regards to Obama, except that Obama has never repudiated the Davis worldview which he treats sympathetically in his autobiography. Nor did he repudiate the doctrinaire Marxist ideology which he clung to as a student at Occidental College (recounted by Occidental alum and acquaintance John Drew). As Obama describes in Dreams, he sought out Marxists and like-minded ideologues of the left.

But Kengor leaves the analysis of Obama’s ideology to the reader, stating that his objective is not to prove or disprove Obama a communist — which is only prudent. But by the same token, it would be extremely dishonest to deny this aspect that dominated the life of the mentor of our president. Today, the mentee of a communist subversive implements many of the policies for which his mentor agitated — nationalizing the much-vilified General Motors and health care, as two of many examples. Cold War history is relevant.

There are many other things about Davis’s personal life that Kengor, wisely, does not delve into. They are salacious, and are available from Davis’s own writings, some online.

The communist influence rightfully is the focus. The book is meticulously researched, reasonably argued, and compellingly told, without a hint of sensationalism. The tone is more than sympathetic in terms of placing Davis’ turn to the false god of communism in the historical context of racial discrimination.

Now, with the publication of The Communist, to continue to ignore the evidence would only confirm the willfulness of the blindness.

Mainstream journalists still may ignore or dismiss the evidence presented here. But spread the word about this important book: it contains not only a corrective to the journalistic malpractice we saw in the vetting of candidate Obama, but also a compelling narrative about an important part of our nation’s history. While Obama’s writings (including passages from Dreams) will no doubt continue to be taught uncritically in our nation’s classrooms, students should now have access to Professor Kengor’s exposé. This may be the most captivating and educational book of the election season.

      • Stirrin the B.S.
      • ATB – thanks for posting that piece. I saw Kengor interviewed on Beck’s GBTV, and it was very fascinating. He didn’t even start out wanting to write an entire book on FMD, but he was writing a follow-up to an an earlier book on a different subject, which included a chapter on FMD.

He said that in the course of his research, the more he discovered about the Communist, the more he realized that his history had to be revealed. And it had to be layed out from the perspective of his mentor relationship with Barack Hussein.

The fact that the MSM chooses to completely ignore this is proof positive that the media are controlled by Marxist Communists.

    • So PLEASED you are OK UM. Sincere wishes for only improving. Could have been the heat and poor food prep/contamination but I’m worried someone tried to poison you. Your illness seems to have been very severe. You are an intelligent man so I cannot believe if you had a tummy bug, it would suddenly completely debilitate you like you describe, without you realizing it and taking timely action…

PLEASE DO NOT EAT OUT AT ALL. BIG chance of someone slipping something in your food/drink. Best to take your own sandwiches. And order CLOSED bottles of water when you do have to get a drink. DON’T eat at the same place if you do have to eat out and don’t shop for food at the same shop. Be unpredictable in your habits. TRY NOT TO BE ALONE ANYWHERE. WATCH YOUR BACK.

    • Spartan
    • Watch your back!!!! So sorry to hear you’re ill. Everyone is still doing their part in getting info they can find out to the world. Can’t wait to read the interviews. May God hold you safely and the insiders as well. I think I finally got a couple of my friends to wake up? And I’ve told them to do homework and read your posts.

      Speedy recovery, UM.

    • Re Arpaio declaring fraudulent bc & HI’s laws – a nat’l security issue as well:

“This is a real national security issue that could very well demonstrate that we have a sleeper in the White House which would bring our country to the brink of a Constitutional crisis that no one wants to deal with. It would have a major bearing on how Barack Obama would be dealt with. It would have implications on every law he has signed, including Obamacare. It would have an impact on the Supreme Court Justices he nominated. It would cause a cry of uproar from the populace and this is why it cannot be allowed to go anywhere.

America can’t handle the truth anymore. They know things are wrong, yes, even some Democrats know something is wrong, but they fail to wake up and see what is happening and take a stand lest they be called “conspiracy theorists” or worse. Frankly, the birth certificate issue has been made out to be a conspiracy and that may well be, but the evidence put forth is not conspiracy theory, it’s simply facts.

Since the media doesn’t have the stones to deal with the truth and I’ll assume the Congress doesn’t have that ability either, I am wondering, as Tad Cronn is, should the military face the truth? Should they exercise their duty in their sworn oath? and not only that but if Barack Obama is complicit in this forgery, and I would assume he is, and Congress is also complicit for failing to deal with it, then have they risen to the level of a domestic enemy?”

      • The Dems are as destructive and malevolent as their president…. and the castrati in leadership that represent the rest of us …the McConnell’s, McCain’s and Boehner’s shame themselves daily.

    • You listen up WSI… Take care of yourself. This heatwave we all are experiencing affects the body even if you are drinking Ice Tea sitting in front of the air conditioning. Heat plus bad food or a summer cold can bring down super man.

Anyway, you are very much missed…

      Get well…

    • SueK
    • Prayers answered for your well being, Ulsterman.

Yes, food poisoning is nasty and summer is the peak time for it to happen anytime, anywhere.

I agree that eating out right now may not be in the cards; there’s nothing like some home cooking (or grilling) to set your system straight.

Prayers continue for you, WSI, WHI and Military Insider; looking forward to ‘meeting’ him/her. Please feel better soon!

    • Gelphy
    • Having experienced food poisoning, I can vouch that it is one of the most exhausting, dangerous and disgusting situations a human being can encounter. That feeling UM describes of having his guts kicked in… I remember that all too well.
I remember lying in a bunch while my girlfriend was scurrying around with vomit buckets and black tea (the only thing I could drink), repeating ‘Kill me now.’ over and over again. Eish.

    • Paloma
    • UM, So glad that you are back, you had a lot of folks very worried. Sorry that you were ill, but try to take it easy for a few days until you are feeling better. As you can tell, we all missed you – too much going on just now to not have your input.

Glad that you were able to have your interview with WSI and MI, and am surely looking forward to hearing their reports as soon as you feel up to transcribing them.

Please get well soon, and my thoughts and prayers are with you, WSI, WHI and MI. Be well and stay safe.

    • Thanks for checking in, UM, and prayers for a strong and quick recovery.

Like others in this forum, I was reflexively checking the site many times a day and hoping for news of a major computer crash :-) UM, you might want to consider asking a trusted friend and confidant to take the wheel briefly when you are unavailable for any reason.

It is such a comfort to know that WSI is reading and watching out for us. Thank you dear sir.

    • Steve
    • I had been wondering about not hearing anything from UM for a while but had put it down to transcribing a very long Insider interview. Now I find it was illness. I’m delighted to hear you’re recovering, UM, and I definitely appreciate WSI taking care that everyone here would be reassured. I take that expression of care for UM and the community here as indication that WSI himself is also doing better, which is excellent news. I am looking forward to reading the transcript of the recent Insider conversation and know we will all welcome Military Insider into our midst. My great appreciation to UM and all the Insiders for the great work you’re doing. Stay well, all of you!

    • UM- Got very concerned when you were MIA for so long. Glad you are OK. Hope you recover quickly from the residual effects of food poisoning- it’s nasty stuff. Thank you WHI, for letting him know of our concern for his welfare. What we are witnessing is not just a political campaign, but a war for the heart, soul and the very survival of our Republic. May God give us the strength to prevail.

    • I posted this over at DrKates but wanted to get some other opinions. I used to have some respect for Ed Rollins but this has me seeing red.

This makes me mad as HELL! How dare he call her out for her questions about security clearances? HOW DARE HE? This has been the problem for too many years! I read the story about Michele. She did not accuse Huma of anything. She merely questioned how someone with her background and connections could have passed the background check necessary to work for our SOS. Oh, wait. Even the bogusPOTUS did not undergo a background check. Never mind. Holy chit! Has everybody just gone batshit crazy?

      • Kay112
      • I believe Ed has had a very bad case of Sour grapes indigestion ever since
he left Michele Bachmann. This isn’t his first rant. It proves he shouldn’t
have a job for any other campaign. He has a very big mouth which should be
        zipped! He is ungrateful, imo.

Ulsterman, it is good hearing from you! Get well quickly! We’ve all missed

            • Kay112
            • Well said Bill O’ and AtB!

Ed is a fine example of the weakness of a resume! He is proof positive of the fact a resume simply cannot reflect a man’s/woman’s character.

Any person of good character should never criticize his former boss or bosses. This is why Ed should be placed on an automatic black list!

      • werbaz neutronName
      • I would guess that mister Rollins has not read Ann Coulter’s book on Senator McCarthy.

Rollins is desperate to repackage himself these days – logically – hoping to get his phoney baloney career back on track.

        • SallyAl
        • Thank you all for your feedback. Even almost 24hrs later my head is spinning around like Linda Blair I am still that angry over this and McLame’s censure of Bachmann on the Senate floor. All the other crap that is going on now is in part a direct result of this type of thinking and for them to not be able to see that or maybe admit that is mind boggling.

          • truthandjustice
          • Join the club!! It’s obvious Michele is a target for both Dems & RINO Repubs b/c she’s one of the handful of real Constitutional loving, ethical, God fearing fighter for the Republic. She is a threat to their convenient, comfortable rigged, corrupt ways. Also – she sees through the Muslim lies and real threat to America. God forbid! They are clueless, foolish, corrupt people that choose to want the admiration of the media/libs and appear “pc”. I get sick of hearing how they admire & agree with McCain b/c he’s a “war hero”. SOOO??!!! Sickening and dangerous. All of us need to support her as she is having a difficult time b/c they have chosen a rich liberal of their liking to run against her. Another “war” like we had with Scott Walker. This is what I got from her:

“Of course, being such a vocal proponent of constitutional conservatism and an opponent of President Obama and his disastrous policies has made me a top target for defeat this year. That’s why the liberals have gone so far as to recruit and nominate a liberal multi-millionaire from Minneapolis with the ability to pour millions of personal wealth into the campaign to defeat me.

That’s why I need your immediate and continued support. ”

    • Annie Oakley
    • Ulsterman – when I read your article I had chills go down my spine.

Late 2009 myself and a few others attended a protest meeting at a local hotel where a very famous politician was there for a fundraiser. A liberal woman from CA is all I’ll say.

There was a group of us eating at the hotel restaurant area. We all had signs on that showed our disgust with her.

One of her supporters came over to a table next to us and start chastising the ladies for having the nerve to exercise their freedom of speech. I got up and got in his face. Here was a huge man screaming at women he didn’t even know. It almost came to blows. The security for the politician saw and heard the entire exchange. They walked over to him and told him to leave.

A few days later I became violently ill.

I’ve never been so sick in my entire life and I’m almost sure our food was tainted. I lost 20 pounds in one month. I could not eat, I had no strength. I used to sit in my lounge chair and cry from the severe body aches I had. I could taste metal in my mouth. I wanted to go to the doctor but I was in too much pain to do so. I didn’t leave my house for weeks.

Finally a retired doctor that I knew told me what to do. 10,000 units of Vitamin C a day and pure carrot juice from a juicer. I did that and within a week I was well.

Scared the hell out of me. I thought I was dying.

I only tell you this story because if they wanted to send a message to some little patriot like me, imagine what they would do to you.

I’m going to pray for you daily.

Do not eat out like another poster said and guard yourself around even your friends. So many people are out of work and out of money.

      Everyone has their price.

I’ve often thought that if it would make any difference, I’d hack her computer(s) myself and leak the extremely treasonous, criminal and self-serving information to the media. But, the media simply doesn’t give a damn, so I know it’s just risk without reward. For that reason, it’s never been more than a passing fancy.

    • Stirrin the B.S.
    • UM, I’m an infrequent commenter, but I do check in to your blog regularly, so I’m late with my codolences and wishes for a speedy recovery. Thank God the medical personnel took the extra effort and concern to transfer you to intensive care. All the more reason that OblowmeCare must be repealed. Can you imagine if this happened under universal healthcare?

      Doc to nurse: “vital signs?”
      Nurse: “BP, 90 over 60″….
Doc interupts: “no, no, not those. What’s his party affiliation?”
Nurse: “he’s a conservative republican, doctor.”
Doc: “tell him to take to aspirin and call some one who cares in the morning.”

Be well, get strong, and jump back in the ring!

      • Larry Sinclair has another book coming out September 18 – the next two months could be “interesting’.

And, UM, please don’t think your quotation marks around FOOD POISONING and INCONSISTENT (vital stats) have gone ‘unnoticed’.

Makes your own credo all the more ‘relevant’:
Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. -G. Washington

      • This really is BIG I think — before Arpaio’s latest announcement with even further proof, Fox was ignoring as far as I could see. O’Reilly made fun of it and dismissed right away when it first started. So I think this latest has given some the “proof” enough to start talking about it without seeming to be silly “conspiratorial”. I hope it keeps up but we all know it won’t go anywhere either…but good & needed to be done and perhaps used down the road, if not now….IF we survive, have the elections and have a sweep in Nov.

    • OT but important as showing that our “enemies within” have been working since day 1 to implement their evil agenda – including the FBI. Here’s some info re how they’re intimidating, trying to stifle prolifers & trying to portray them as potential, dangerous criminals or whatever in order to shut them up:

“From the moment the new administration took office, the DOJ has been targeting peaceful pro-life sidewalk counselors,” she said. “They have come out guns blazing on several occasions, often bringing allegations that could later not be substantiated or in some cases clearly proven to be false.”

“The DOJ is using tactics that amount to legal extortion,…They have filed these frivolous claims against innocent people who don’t have the finances to hire big shot attorneys. The DOJ then kindly offers to settle the case if the counselor simply agrees to stay so many yards away and pay a couple thousand dollar fine.”

Dana Cody, the executive director for Life Legal, told WND that the foundation for such aggressive tactics against innocent pro-life activists comes directly from the top. It was the FBI that set up a training program held several years ago for police who are called to respond to conflicts between abortion businesses and pro-life protesters.

The training manual for that event, she said, was written by Planned Parenthood, the abortion industry’s biggest player in the U.S., and the National Abortion Federation.

    • Sounds like E-coli…. Glad I can post a comment again. Last comment was deleted because as the message read: “slow down you are commenting too much”. And I didn’t have as many as some! So bummed out by that I forgot what I was saying… 8/

Glad you are well now, UM. Like others said above, you MUST be careful. If Barry’s flunkies die for less, then… well, just watch your back, hire a bodyguard and cook you own food. Have you thought about having your mom come stay with you to help take care of you (assuming you are single)? I know…lame attemt at humor…. ;D

    • TTLG,

I had exactly the same message, about 2-3 months ago. Sometimes when I try to post, the message just sits there and will not post. Sometimes the message appears to have been posted, but later it has disappeared. I have noticed, as have others, that some messages seem to post in the wrong order. A couple of days ago, when I came to this site early in the morning, there were no current posts showing, only those for March. Later on, the current topics were back. Makes me realize that someone must watch this site pretty closely. ‘They’ don’t like what is posted here, and of course ‘they’ are already threatening to shut down all methods of communicating. Paranoia at the WH? Ya think?
