After multiple messages sent into a longtime D.C. operative asking for feedback on the just-announced Vice Presidential pick by Mitt Romney, we finally received this all too brief yet informative (and entertaining) response from the figure known simply as White House Insider…

UM: What do you think about the Paul Ryan choice? Good? Bad? Indifferent?
WHI: Obama just sh*t himself. They are picking diamonds out his ass about now. Great choice. Absolutely great choice. Critics said M.R. was going to run from the fiscal conservatism message behind the Ryan Plan. Not so. He is embracing it. That is undeniable proof M.R. gets it. Country’s fiscal situation is in full on crisis. Big boys know it. Remember when the Old Man warned about the muni bonds going down and out? That was months ago right? Now it’s happening. There is so much happening behind the scenes on that stuff. I get bits and pieces from the Old Man and a couple others on it but they are all saying the same thing HOLD ON and be ready for disaster because if it comes it is going to hit very fast. Got a lot of real powerful people trying to avoid that disaster but the real players around Obama are purposely pushing us off that cliff. I am absolutely 100% convinced now that everything they have done is on purpose. It’s not just incompetence, laziness, or stupidity. They want American chopped the f-ck down. Period.
Back to the Ryan pick. I am loving it. And don’t buy into all the BS about how the Romney campaign is having a bad week or how it needs to fight back against Obama. These guys are playing this just about right. Except for Saul. That lady should go. She is certainly done with speaking on behalf of the campaign. But other than that little hiccup, the Romney team is hitting its stride. And now with Ryan on board, we got the Tea Party momentum at our sails also. And that is a good thing because Romney needs the Tea Party. Absolutely needs their enthusiasm, energy, support. The emotion behind that Tea Party stuff can sink Obama. And they know that.
One more thing on that. The Ryan pick just increased the race card roll out about 100% now. That will be Obama’s play against the Tea Party. Media is already preparing for that too. Some of them. Maybe it’s the Zimmerman situation. They got that whole thing on standbye. Maybe it’s something new we haven’t seen yet. But the Ryan pick now pushes that scenario to the top of the agenda at this point so watch for it. I’m praying it don’t get as bad as it could but my gut says it will.
And how you like that FnF news? More to come. There is some scandal scenarios circling this election big time.
UM: You said, “WE got the Tea Party momentum at our sails” Does that indicate your are working directly with the Romney campaign now?
(No response was given to that last question)

A really smart choice. The libs will roll out all the same old scare tactics. They are going o take away your social security and medicaire, and they are two racist white guys, and they hate women etc. It’s not going to work this time. America is a lot more pissed off and tired of Obama than the lamestream media polls are showing. I worry about the race riots though. I totally agree with WHI who says the Obama team is willing to pull that trigger on America if they think it will help them. And just yesterday I saw a convoy of military vehicles pass right through my little city. About 40 of them. Never seen that before in my life and I’ve lived here for almost 30 years. There were quite a few people wondering why and we all looked nervous. People are on edge. We know something doesn’t feel right.
Wow! We’ve definitely got to be keeping up with our prayer lives.
Love the pick of Paul Ryan. And if Obama wants to go with some race riot bullshit. Well, bring it on pard. In Texas that kind of thing will be put down real quick.
Exactly, BigTexas. Same thing in my state. I knew I liked Texas for some reason.
LOL
It’s like I always say…
There are only two certainties in life…death and Texas.
Smart choice for what the country faces. I agree, it gives me hope that MR gets it.
Sorry, Mr. Ryan is not a Tea Party type. More of a RINO than Tea Party. Anyone who voted in favor of TARP, NDAA, AGAINST oversight of TARP, Auto Bailouts, Etc. better know what their getting.
NO MORE RINOS!!!
I especially HATED the NDAA vote… WAKE UP, PEOPLE!
Perceptible Future
Tell me who your pick would have been.
Jim DeMint of South Carloina, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Mike Lee of Utah, Jason Chaffetz of Utah. There are plenty to choose from. I just worry that we are missing the mark.
Believe me, I’ll be the first to lay across barbed wire so the rest can run over me to capture our land back from the traitors. But, I have seen this malarkey before. The crisis is created, people rush for a solution, and when one is presented (of there own choosing) we clamor with glee of the choice we’re given.
Please don’t get me wrong, Mr. Ryan is a smart man, placed against Biden he looks like a boy genius. Placed next to Barry, Ryan looks like he should be the professor. Yet, I am troubled with his voting record on key legislation. He has been in politics all of his adult life with no private sector experience or very, very little.
I really am looking for citizen politicians (Joe the Plumber types) or small government thinking individuals to step forward and serve then when their term or two expires, return home to assume their private lives.
Is it really too much to ask for?
PF
I am a fan of the men you named, however none of them were being considered. And perhaps they will do more for the country where they are at ?
I liked Allen West, he would have delivered Florida, he’s a black conservative former colonel who has been in combat and is wildly popular with the TEA party.
I would have chosen him as my first choice. Ryan is desperately needed in Congress but it does show that Romney gets it. Ron Paul needs to be the Treasury Secretary for sure though.
I hope to hell the WHI is right.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Until then, I stand by my contention that Romney has just thrown America’s one and only last-chance election for reasons unknown.
Be sure to check in on Nov. 7.
Hey, I’d love to be proven wrong about this. In fact, I hope I’m wrong.
But if I’m right, and I hate being right about stuff like this…then we don’t get a do-over.
Oh, I’ll support Romney-Ryan just like the rest. But like I said, I’ll believe this is a winning ticket when I see the returns on election night.
Until then, I consider myself to be laboring for an honorable but lost cause.
And if I’m right, you can buy the first round! Deal?
hey–I want in on this–wouldn’t it be a blast if we all meet up after the election–the ulsterman commentators.
Number one issue for independents after jobs is the outrageous debt!
Just sent Mitt a new slogan:
TIME FOR SOME “R” & “R”!
I hope that creep, David Axelrod, fudged his undies, too! And ValGar. Eric Holder should have, a long time ago.
Yes. R&R also = Ronald Reagan
Channeling the third Great Awakening.
I love the reactions of the DNC talking heads. They are all putting on their big smiley faces as if this is exactly what they wanted. It’s a phony as a two dollar bill.
Now the real high brow discussion that Obama had promised from his side is going to be forced on them by our side. Of course they will play the Medi-Scare (right out of the playbook the Clintons used in the ’90′s).
Ryan looked great and I love his air of earnestness and optimism. It’s going to be such a refreshing contrast to Obama and his team with their steady stream of negativism.
Way to go Romney. It says as much about you as it does your excellent pick.
Me too! It’s not like they are offering anything new and by now – we should be ready to shove their playbook up where the sun doesn’t shine.
Totally not surprised by the reaction. They would be saying the same things if Jesus himself came down and was running w/Mitt.
The regime is in hysteria mode.
The Lovely Rachael Maddow was apoplectic on MSNBC this AM and I LOVED IT. Childless Andrea Mitchell says that “suburban Moms” won’t vote for Ryan~~she said the same thing about Sarah Palin~~what does Andrea Mitchell know about what a MOM thinks?
You bet! Until you have not gotten a call from your adult child scared to death because it got laid off from its job and has no idea when it will get a new one, you have no idea what a Mom thinks nowadays.
I’m no fan of Andrea Mitchell, but she actually does have a child – a daughter, who attended her wedding to Alan Greenspan.
I admit I was one of those who thought Mittens would shy away from Paul Ryan’s intensity. But now, I’m ready to get a bumper sticker.
Watch for that vein in Barry’s right temple to be bulging like crazy soon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxKNVS4GkXA
Can you imagine what a Ryan-Biden debate would be like? Ryan would make mincemeat out of Mr. Plugs!
Can I? Oh yes. What will mar that beautiful scenario we see played out in our minds though? – the undoubted, bet-your-life-on-it fact that there will be an immoderate, “moderator,” who will make sure there is a head start program for the elderly ready “actively,” “affirmatively,” to assure that Capt. EyeLift is ready to deal with the softballs lobbed his way, making sure they do not hit him in his tender, vulnerable, cyborg-like head, lest they penetrate to that severely incapacitated, affable brain of his. = Ol’ Joe gets the questions in advance.
I mean, after all, let’s make things “fair” right?
But that’ll be even MORE fun, in a diabolical sort of way. Ryan is so quick on his feet — if anyone can make BOTH Mr. Plugs and the moderator look like Craftsman representatives (in other words, “tools”), it’ll be Ryan.
Let’s see how it plays out. Buy stock in popcorn!
True. Now, I just hope and pray Mittens puts Newt high up in the hierarchy where he belongs.
Will the ELIGIBILITY problem be solved or is the constitutional requirement for a natural-born citizen null and void after being stealthy set in precedent by Obama and company? Romney still hasn’t been vetted by anyone regarding his eligibility. Does anyone care enough to demand clarification on Article two Section one specifying the natural-born citizenry requirement by the founders wisdom? Romney posted his BC on line and it clearly states that his father was born in Mexico and no evidence has been provided that he became a citizen before Mitt was born. Where are the birthers on this one? Millions want to know because Ron Paul may be the only ELIGIBLE candidate standing.
Oh will you give it up already and really read the fourteenth amendment! The Supreme Court has verified that citizenship is granted to all children born in the country provided they are not an alien (that somehow does not include children of illegal immigrants) and the children born to ambassadors of foreign nations. You wrote that Romney was born here, end of story…being born here he is a citizen and thus eligible to serve.
Now about the Ryan pick, brilliant choice! I am among a large number of people who were not sold on Romney. We planned to vote for him, yes, but were not happy about it. Now that he has chosen Paul Ryan that changes and we will be out early to place our votes.
Perhaps YOU should read the 14th amendment AND realize that born citizen doesn’t necessarily mean born a natural born citizen. There has been clarification, however, that George was NOT a NBC, despite what is reported in the link but was born a citizen to two citizen parents in Mexico. That makes Mitt a natural born citizen, born to two citizen parents ON US soil (jus soli, jus sanguinis).
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/01/how-mitt-romneys-mexican-born-father-was-eligible-to-be-president/ Not President… but as Governor or Senator, no problem.
Those of us who believe in the Constitution don’t believe you can be almost Constitutional any more than you can be almost pregnant. The man they call Obama is a total fraud as has been our government for the past three years. We have been in Constitutional Crisis with no acknowledgement from anyone but people called crazy or told to “give it up already”.
Pray that WSI and his cronies can soften the crash that is coming. The Romney/Ryan team can’t stop it but they might have a plan to keep us from Civil War. We need to get out the vote for this team, keep Obama from stealing this election, and then pray to God that he is still listening to Americans.
I really don’t understand why you are so angry with what I posted. Both essentially say the same thing, Romney is eligible to serve.
Cookie, maybe she isn’t replying directly to you? Dunno. Otherwise, I don’t get it either.
Gov G Romney was an American Citizen and a Gov of MI but their may have been question if he was a Natural Born Citizen. That said If you are born to two parents of Citizens of the US = NB So Mitt is a NB. Oh and George had to prove he was a citizen and MI resident to run for Gov. and he was a very sucessful as a Gov. I remember the family and they were a happy, healthy and well adjusted family. Back when MI, actually believed in fact checking if you ran for office.
Cookie,
Please understand that the 14th Amendment relates to citizenship, while the Article 2 of the Constitution relates to eligibility. Two different things.
Being born in the US makes you a native American citizen, meaning you acquired your American citizenship at birth.
Being born in the US from TWO US citizen makes you a Natural Born American, meaning you acquired your American citizenship at birth exclusively from any other citizenship.
You undertand the difference?
All Natural Born are Native, but all Native are not Natural Born.
If you pay real attention, Obama never said he was a Natural Born. He always says he is a native.
I think the issue of George’s eligibity was put to rest in 1968, when HE tried a run at President
Thank you, but I do indeed know the difference. I was simply trying to straighten out the previous commenter on the issue they brought up. Please do not assume that someone is not familiar with the constitution. While the 2nd amendment states the requirements for office, the issue of level of citizen-ship seems to clarified in the fourteenth.
“like” x 100
When it comes to the issue of Mao’Bama’s eligibility TWO things should be patently obvious.
1) Mao’Bama is NOT a NBC because his father was a British citizen.
2) The current Gov’t, House, Senate and SCOTUS will DO NOTHING ABOUT IT!
Just like they will never address Social Security and Medicare in any sort of intelligent manner. End of story—we are governed by 536 +9 judges who are manifest cowards and more concerned about their jobs and power.
Krauthammer weighs in with two significant plusses – and he’s usually right:
In a Saturday morning appearance on the Fox News Channel, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted to the announcement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s running mate choice, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan.
Krauthammer said that the choice changed the race by shifting it from a referendum on Obama to an idea-driven race powered by the young, “Kennedy-esque” Ryan.
“I think the picture sort of changes the dynamics of the race,” Krauthammer said. “Up until now it was Romney running as the guy who could do a better job — ‘I know how to fix the economy. The other guy is a failure.’ But it was a star-led choice, he’s a better technocrat. When you look at the two there are two things different than Ryan’s presence on the platform. The first is youth. I mean, he’s the future. He has a youthful look. If you like Kennedy-esque boyish enthusiasm and energy.”
Krauthammer said that Ryan’s speech indicated that it won’t be just a policy ideas Ryan will put forth, but a broader philosophical ones.
“But second is also the shift in grounds, the dynamic of the debate — the argument from stewardship, from who can do a better job. to ideas,” he continued. “When Ryan spoke, he mentioned our rights are from nature and God. That’s a fairly fundamental idea. It isn’t even a policy. It’s a philosophy. He wants to make the debate about the philosophy of government and the policies that then follow. And I think by doing this they are now running on what is essentially an argument, ‘No to the status quo.’ It’s a complete reversal of 2008. Obama in 2008 was hope and change. ‘You don’t like status quo, we’ve got ideas.’”
But with those two things, Krauthammer said it takes the 2008 “change” theme away from Obama and puts it on the side of the Republicans.
“Now here are the Republicans four years later saying, ‘well, you had your shot at charisma with this idea of hope and change. It’s not hope and change. It’s a dismal, sort of declining America. We have the ideas. We have the policies. We’re willing to risk on them. We are willing to lead on them, lead from in front.’”
“And that’s what I think shifts the whole debate. It is a dynamic one about future, ideas and change. Change is now on the side of Republicans, where as it was on the policy of this side of the Democrats in 2008. And they can make a coherent case of that as we heard Ryan doing in his introductory remarks.”

Just saw MR and PR speak and not a teleprompter or notes were used, how about that, smart people running for office for a change.
I wasn’t excited about Ryan until I started being snarky to some Obama supporters who just can’t understand why we haven’t accepted Obama as our “personal Lord and Savior”.
Ryan has balls and that’s why we need.
Game On! Thanks WHI! I love your post today.
I don’t think I have ever addressed you, Lovely, but I do appreciate your posts. Bless your heart.
Heartened to see WHI dump on Saul.
Also glad to see that WHI is finally convinced that the powers behind this administration are intentionally flushing us down the toilet of history.
I wish someone would articulate what I’ve been made to understand: that Obama has a friend who is the moral and actual equivalent of Jarred Loughner and James Holmes. His name, as you will guess, is Bill Ayers. That’s a paint that needs to be applied in double and triple coats – because it is the truth. And sometimes, the truth is right in front of us – and is still hard to see. I don’t see Ryan (nor Romney) making those kinds of comparisons. That’s for those of us in the trenches (hear that, Rush? Hear that, pacs?)
I bet Jarrett is screaming her bloody lungs out about now, too:
“How did we not see Ryan coming?”
And the other case of loose bowels – (in addition to Jarrett and the Idiot in Chief) – has to be the evil David Axelrodent. He can’t deal with facts and figures – and Ryan is a veritable arsenal, while Axelrodent is a walking, wailing arse.
Check out this video on YouTube:…showcasing one of the many reasons Paul Ryan was Romney’s VP choice.
Watch the two men beside RYAN…Priceless!
Watch Ryan wipe the floor with the man who calls himself Obama ….even better.
Ryan was a brilliant choice….Mr Smith goes to Washington indeed…”America was founded on an idea…our rights come from nature and God…Not the government.”
Paul Ryan August 10, 2012…on his way to being the Vice President of the United States of America
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPxMZ1WdINs&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Great video~~2 points
1. When will this be scrubbed from the internet by Obama?
2. Look at the 5:25 mark~~is the “great one” giving Ryan the finger?
Yes, it was. He has been trained/programmed to contain himself and speak only what he is told (via various means), but given his irrepressibly angry nature, the best he can do is display passive-aggressive gestures.
Thus, you see, this was Barry being tolerant and on his best behavior.
Anyone notice the blinking eyes? What is with Barry and his blink, blink, blink-ing eyes? At one point it looked like he was fighting sleep! Barry’s as dumb as a rock. He could no more have talked off prompter as Ryan did than the man in the moon. He was stuttering and stammering for a response as the video ended!
Probably coming down from whatever upper he was on…
Another item for WHI the next time out, UM, if it’s not too late by then, but check out Ann Barnhardt’s latest about court-sanctioned theft of our money. Head down to about the 8th graf or so where she talks about individual bank accounts:
http://barnhardt.biz/
It’s the Aug. 10 post, with the flashing light.
I just spent the last hour or so reading Ann’s stuff and watching her videos.
In a word? Whoa.
From Bristol Palin:
With all the excitement surrounding Mitt Romney’s announcement of his running mate, I ask you, readers, to pause. Just stop.
Don’t write a word, don’t make a snap judgment, don’t critique the VP choice, don’t exult in its brilliance. Just take a moment and realize that whomever is chosen, he is a person about to go through an ordeal that few people will ever experience. Pray for his family. Pray that he can meet the challenges of the campaign trail without being burned by the spotlight.
I saw it first hand four years ago, of course. (Can you believe that it’s been that long?)
Our country’s future is at stake, and the other side will do all it can to not just defeat this person but also to destroy his reputation.
The next 90 days will be among the most challenging of his life. I’m going to pray for Paul Ryan. Please join me.
BRISTOL PALIN HAS TURNED INTO A GREAT YOUNG WOMAN!
This kid is going to be a force to reckon with in Politics. No Doubt about it. She is amazing. Have you seen her youtube video “We are Americans. We build”? Se gets it.
Sorry, Mr. Ryan is not a Tea Party type. More of a RINO than Tea Party. Anyone who voted in favor of TARP, NDAA, AGAINST oversight of TARP, Auto Bailouts, Etc. better know what their getting.
NO MORE RINOS!!!
Uh, I am a Tea Party patriot to the core and I love the pick by Romney for Paul Ryan. Ryan put his political career on the line and took all kinds of heat from his own party when he released his plan to try and save America from the fiscal cliff. I am starting to really think there are some Obomabots working overtime in here who are trying to kill our happiness over Paul Ryan. Nice try but me and all my Tea Party patriots, and there are about 300 of us just in my neck of the woods are pumped about Paul Ryan on the ticket. Woohoooo!!!!!
@ Kat
Agree!! Paul Ryan was a great choice!!…… He has much more Backbone than most in Congress who just put their heads in the sand & kick the can down the road for the future Congress to deal with it
Our Country is going broke with all of these well meant entitlement programs …… These programs need to be overhauled………… Obama & others have been using the funds from Social Security for other programs.
The money that went into the Social Security Fund was to be set aside for the workers of America who contributed to it …… It should not be given away to people who have not contributed to Social Security!!
We all know that these programs will not survive in the near future without major reconstruction!!
Yes we will have to tighten our belts; but we won’t have the Obama’s spending our Taxes on their lavish
life style & wasting our Taxes on foolish Green enery programs!!…… We are a Country rich with natural energy resources ……. We need to utilize them & get people back to work!!
Most people would rather have work then a Government hand out!!! We should not be dependent on Government… We need to depend on ourselves.
I AM TEA PARTY TOO AND THINK PAUL RYAN IS AWESOME!!!!!!!! JUST IGNORE THE HATERS AND VOTE ROMNEY/RYAN IN 2012. NO MORE OBAMA!!!!!!!!
The proof of this choice will be in the attitude from the boys in Wall Street. If there is a significant increase in political donations from Wall Street going to either party then you can bet that will be where the people will be heading this time.
Paul Ryan is an excellent choice.
Paul Ryan is terrific b/c he will attack Obama directly and succinctly, perhaps more importantly it forces the discussion of the fiscal carnage Obama has wreaked. Obfuscations and is traction will be untenable for the despicable one!
Remember the COMMAND and CONTROL LEFTISTS always telegraph who they fear…….
yes, you are pretty much spot on. Most things I have read about Paul Ryan are very positive. Also I really do think that he gets it where the economy is concerned.
Let’s pray for our country and for the Romney-Ryan team.
They are our last hope until 2016, when it will be too late anyhow,if Zero wins in November.
You’re right; let’s pray. I understand your pessimism (?), but cheer up. Please.
In case any of you missed it, good one showing Ryan rebuking little Timmy —
http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/08/11/Ryan-Geithner-Leadership
From all the contenders, Ryan was my favorite. But I never thought Romney would have the gutts. Well, my bad and kuddos to Romney for one of the gutsiest move I’ve seen in a long time during a campaign.
Talking of a contrast: 2008 Obama picks… Biden. 2012 Romney picks Ryan.
I cannot wait for the VP debate. I’ll watch it even if it’s on MSNBC!
Whats a bet Obama drops Biden as VP??? Whats a bet Joe suddenly become “ill” allowing Barry Soetoro to pick another ?
Who would the other be?
Hillary or Christ Van Hollen?
Typo
Christ should be Chris
”The emotion behind that Tea Party stuff can sink Obama. And they know that.”
LET’S ROLL!!!
“That Tea Party stuff” = the pursuit of/commitment to FREEDOM!
Don’t Tread on Me.
If you are a totalitarian control freak, your greatest fear is a stubbornly free populace, ready to defend that freedom.
A ‘stubbornly free populace’…well put Jules.
Not meaning you, Terri, you understand, with the control-freak stuff; that’s the specialty of the libs.
Amidst the euphoria about Paul Ryan, which I share, and WHI’s amusing comment on it, there lies buried in the first paragraph this very disturbing bombshell:
In part….”HOLD ON and be ready for disaster because if it comes it is going to hit very fast. Got a lot of real powerful people trying to avoid that disaster but the real players around Obama are purposely pushing us off that cliff.”
I read WHI, WSI, UM faithfully and along with the valuable insight, good and bad, I take what comfort and encouragement I can get that people stronger and wiser than I are working in our country’s best interest. Most of the time, however, I’m scared out of my wits.
This item has been sitting on Drudge for a couple of days:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/08/10/us-banks-recoveryplans-idUSBRE87905N20120810
While I take everything WHI has to say very much to heart, the promise of the Obama handlers to start shouting ‘race’ again doesn’t bother me. That card is so dog-eared, creased, smudged, bent, rolled and stapled that it has not nearly the power left that they think it does. Let them wear themselves out.
Pretty much in agreement here. A close friend who voted for Obama because “It was time for a BlacK President”, and now realized how much she was white guilt out of voting for O, cannot even hear of a murmur of a race card. Not gonna work this time.
As for the coming crash, here are the facts: Without the Feds support the Dow should be at 600. Understanding the Naked short sale process and all the technical glitches which led to multiple duplication give a real value of any portfolio at half of what it says it is. And considering that the derivatives have not been purged out of the system, but repackaged and recycled and therefore are still in the system being speculated on as much as before, and you have an internal blueprint of the crash coming.
If the Feds signal they are lowering or withdrawing their support, that WILL send a very rapid and devastating ripple effect to the system.
To be effective the October IRA and other pension funds statements need to reflect the crash, because this is when the vast majority of American people connect with Wall Street, four times a year through their quaterly statment. So it needs to happen before the end of September to scare them out of their mind. Obama will then attempt to point to Romney/Ryan as the Big Business and Wall Street Insiders protecting their friends while the rest of America is left in pain.
If Barry shat himself, will Bruno clean the diaper, a la The-system-worked-Abdulfarouk-fizzlepants “terrorist” sitchyation?
Did U see the YouTube of Sept. 9,2009 White House Health Care Summit. Find the 6 minutes of Paul Ryan taking down Obamacare to BO’s face. The look on Obamanation’s face is worth $1,0000. He’s bored, hateful, furious from absorbing facts on his great failure – his legislative signature piece.
@NameNancy –
I have posted the link in several posts since the Ryan Pick.
I’ll post it AGAIN, because I think ALL need to see it.
Link:

And, Ryan DOES get the finger from O at about 5:30 minutes into it! LOL
A
No “A”
Ryan has a solid grasp on Economics, a desire to turn things around and a willingness to challenge the beasts in D.C. without backing down.
While Obama’s theft of our liberties is a profoundly important issue, it only affects us if he uses it to his advantage.
In other words, if the economy holds out until Romney is elected (hopefully), our greatest threat is Obama himself. After that, it’s the economy. If Obama doesn’t bring the temple down first, Romney’s and Ryan’s first task must be to fix the damage the Marxists have done, before everything crashes and burns. THEN, they must restore this nation back to Constitutionality.
If The RR team wins, this will be rightfully seen as a mandate to fix the fundamental economic problems, among which the entitlements play a huge roll. Then the real demshevik squeling wil begin.
…at which point the demsheviks will understand how we have felt these last few years…like Ned Beattie’s character in ‘Deliverance’.
One of the problems that Romney has faced is the sniping in his own party from the conservative “purists”. They are the flip side of the “Progressive” fake intelligentsia to some extent who often put purity over practicality. This makes for interesting discussion but it seldom wins elections. The Ryan selection mutes this and they are already going off into the realm of fantasy that Ryan will save Romney and his ideas will magically jump start the economy. Not going to happen. The wreckage is too extreme. They are going to have to perform triage and practical quick fixes to keep it limping along. Romney knows that change is gradual and successful change is careful. The people understand this even if the conservative commentariat do not. Romney just brought together the various ideological factions of the Republican party and cut off one of the methods Obama uses to divide and conquer. A solidified Republican party is much more dangerous to him than a fractured, arguing opponent. This is another tactical win for Romney.
The priceless YouTube everyone should share that shows Paul Ryan brilliantly point out to Obama, Sept. 9, 2009 http://youtu.be/zPxMZ1Wd should be viewed.
Biden is viewed as bored with a bland look on his face because that dummy cannot understand what Ryan is saying – Ryan might as well be speaking in Portuguese to Biden. BUT Obama is hilarious. That mixture of contempt, hatred, boredom, fear, wonder is beyond words. You see the bile rise in Obama’s throat as he has to listens to a US Congressman & doesn’t have the power YET to throw Ryan into a dungeon.
http://www.renewamerica.com just a few words for the sheeple here….
Alan Keyes July 30, 2012
Why GOP leaders slur Bachmann, defend Obama
By Alan Keyes
During the GOP’s blatantly rigged 2012 primary season, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., distinguished herself as a sincere spokeswoman for the conservative grassroots constituency the nomination of Mitt Romney will emphatically betray. Just recently, she joined with several of her colleagues to courageously demand an investigation into evidence the Obama faction has placed people associated with organizations that promote Islamic jihad and Shariah law into high-level positions in the U.S. government, from which they may be exerting inordinate influence on America’s foreign and national-security policy.
Now key members of the elitist faction’s leadership in the Democratic and Republican parties have embarked upon a scurrilous campaign of personal destruction aimed at discrediting Bachmann’s demand. Their campaign makes use of ad hominem attacks that accuse her of anti-Muslim bigotry and falsely suggest that her apprehension has no factual basis. Yet the ad hominem assault appears to have been launched precisely because Rep. Bachmann capably established the solid basis for her concerns. In a letter to Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., she rebutted his scurrilously false characterizations of her actions with a meticulously footnoted response amply documenting the facts that justify her security concerns.
Since her critics can’t argue the facts (as we know from the reporting of WorldNetDaily’s Aaron Klein), their tactic is to destroy the reputation of the person pointing them out. It’s not surprising to see Obama’s henchmen and fellow travelers eagerly deploying this tactic. What’s more than noteworthy, however, is the fact that Republican Sen. John McCain quickly jumped to the forefront of the GOP leadership’s contribution to what has become an all-out elitist-faction offensive against Bachmann. Along with the GOP speaker of the House (and, just recently, two Romney camp weathervanes, Sens. Marco Rubio and Scott Brown), the GOP’s 2008 nominee for president seems enthusiastically committed to this campaign of personal destruction. If successful, the campaign could bring about Bachmann’s defeat in the upcoming election, thus purging her from the GOP delegation.
Why has the GOP leadership unleashed this communist-style purge against Michele Bachmann? Why do they seek to thwart the demand to seriously investigate what could very well be a fatal threat to America’s security? Why do they cooperate in discouraging an inquiry into what appears to be a serious lapse of competence and/or loyalty in the Obama faction’s stewardship of America’s most vital national-security interests? Why indeed, unless the elitist-faction agenda calls for another sham election, in which the leaders of its GOP wing dutifully lend themselves to the betrayal of the party’s conservative base (and America’s survival in freedom), as they did in 2008.
In the 2008 election, John McCain proved to be a pliable tool of the socialist elite’s ongoing agenda for the destruction of the liberty and constitutional sovereignty of the American people. He colluded in the passage of the 2008 bank bailout, even though it was evident at the time that he could have beaten Obama simply by opting to speak for the large majority of voters whose accurate common sense led them to oppose it. His choice made it clear that he was never intended to defeat Obama. That says less about him than it says about the elitist-faction clique assigned to manage the GOP wing of the twin-party sham.
Thanks to the adverse reaction against Obama’s anti-constitutional push to socialism, in this election year — even more than in 2008 — the elite faction’s GOP manipulators have what they need to corral the party’s conservative base into another futile, self-destructive run over the crypto-socialist cliff. This time, their lead steer is a candidate whose proven record of “no means yes” opposition to the left’s economic and moral agenda makes his pose of opposition to Obama as trustworthy as Delilah’s warnings to Samson in the Bible. (See Judges 16:4-19.) On issues ranging from Obamacare to border security and immigration; from the defense of marriage and the unalienable right to life to national security, Mitt Romney is a standard bearer even more convincingly consistent with the elitists’ now characteristic pattern of betrayal than was John McCain.
Of course, the GOP’s media sheepdogs predictably snap at anyone who points this out. With menacing growls, they assert that failure to support Romney means re-electing Obama. But what really makes Obama’s re-election conceivable is the fact that the GOP’s self-serving leadership fixed the Republican primary elections to make sure the party’s nomination did not go to an authentic conservative, someone sincerely committed to using the intense opposition Obama has inspired to roll back the socialist deconstruction of America his faction exists to advance. Just as Obama was to slip into office in 2008, so he may be allowed to do so again in 2012. Either way, with Romney as the GOP nominee, the elite faction’s agenda for destroying the constitutional sovereignty and liberty of the American people moves ahead.
These reflections cast into high relief the sinister implications of the GOP leadership’s role in deploying the politics of personal destruction to suppress the development of facts that would substantiate Obama’s unfitness for office, his destruction of America’s prosperity and national security, and his intention to destroy our constitutional liberty. This collusion has been continually in evidence with regard to the issue of his constitutional ineligibility for office; his anti-constitutional abuse of executive orders; his appointment of rabidly socialist judges and Supreme Court justices; and now his possible compromise of America’s security at the highest levels of the U.S. government.
Properly developed, such issues would energize successful opposition to Obama, especially in the context of a trustworthy allegiance to America’s founding principle of God-endowed unalienable rights. The GOP’s elitist-faction clique adamantly opposes anyone seriously committed to pursuing these issues because they are themselves so deeply implicated in the ongoing deconstruction of America’s liberty. The factional clique maintains the false pretense of speaking to and for conservative voters in order to prevent these voters from uniting against the bipartisan political sham being orchestrated to decompose the constitutional republic. The GOP’s elitist faction leaders have to keep them from realizing and acting on their true strength. Such a reaction would disrupt the elitist faction’s game, for it would reveal its still extant vulnerability. In an authentic three-way political contest, the number of those who prefer American liberty to anti-American socialism is more than sufficient to defeat, in a general election, both wings of the elite faction’s partisan sham.

You know what they say meet the new boss same as the old boss…..
Terrific choice. One of the few men in this government who can speak with authority on spending and fiscal issues. Romney had one chance to get this right and he did. Horrah!
As discouraged as I am about the fact that Romney painted an even bigger target on himself by picking Ryan, I do respect Ryan as a fellow math nerd. The guy can handle numbers like nobody else.
Math has always been Obama’s weakness (and that of liberals in general). His logical-mathematical intelligence (one of the two primary spheres measured by IQ testing) is very low.
If nothing else, Romney-Ryan should be able to clean Obama’s clock on this issue.
Will it be enough? I’m not optimistic.
Paul Ryan represents Obama’s most horrifying nightmare: Math.
After all the pearls that we got from the White House Insider, the only thing Mr. Ulsterman could think to ask is if WHI has officially changed sides. Mr. Ulsterman, I submit that your innately liberal mentality needs to morph beyond “our team vs. their team” and you need to start thinking harder about what is actually happening to this country. I am an avid fan of WHI and WSI, and glad you cover them, but for heaven’s sake allow your thinking to mature!
