WHITE HOUSE INSIDER: Emergency All Call At Obama White House

This brief update just came from Insider:

Got word an all-call went out at the WH  A.M. today.

That means they are doing what’s called “huddling”.  Has to be related to the Benghazi news now hitting.  Have good source in Chicago saying their office is acting very odd today as well.  Can’t say if this will break out all the way now, but we are getting very close to an all out WH red alert scenario.  Not there yet but very close.

Significant activity from Ruemmler’s office over the last 24.

In this situation there will likely be 1 of 2 responses from WH.

-Highly controlled briefing response.  Attempt explanation, then hope story gets buried over weekend and race to election day.

-Announced resignation of someone inside administration.  President apologizes for mistakes by some in his administration.  That deal could be under negotiation at this very moment.

Second scenario not as likely.  Not yet.  But the Ruemmler activity makes me believe there’s more damaging information out there to the administration on Benghazi than has already come out today.  They are trying to assess what will and will not get out to determine response.  To have a potential scandal of this magnitude so close to an election is unprecedented.  Priority for them will be to insulate the president.  Got to try and cut that off.  Get someone inside go public and point the finger at Obama.

Now I do what I do best.

    • I sure hope it’s about Benghazi and not this crap from Gloria Allred somehow… like a planning session on how to coordinate a hit piece on Romney.

    • These are just amazing times. Talk about planets colliding. It feels like we are watching supernatural forces in an epic battle. Brings to mind a certain verse… for nothing is secret that will not be revealed…

      • Epic battle indeed! I recently keep imagining Obama as Lex Luther from Superman, of all things. I think the role of Superman is being filled by The Old Man. :)

The tide of truth will not be denied. My sincerest and deepest thanks to WSI, WHI, and UM for bringing the truth to light.

      • If they’re huddling with general counsel, I wonder if Clintonistas are involved. Hillary has let it be known that she authorized additional security requested by ambassador long before Benghazi attack. Bill has let it be known that he had lawyers looking at documents to ensure that Hillary doesn’t take the blame for Benghazi. Maybe Bill or one of his surrogates has played that hand with WH (including his preference that Hillary resign and go public), and they are scrambling now to determine what to do about paper trail showing Hillary was overruled by someone in WH.

If WSI and/or WHI have helped to expose documents which have been dribbling out the last few days – KUDOS. Perhaps they also have info identifying national security advisor Tom Donilon and/or John Brennan as media leakers responsible for capture and imprisonment of Pakistani doctor who helped identify bin Laden compound. Of course, they leaked sensitive info far more damaging to US national security than just that man’s identity.

And – didn’t Obama use that same “offensive” line from the Crowley debate when he was questioned about the post-Osama leaking? Seems to me he finds it offensive whenever anybody questions him about his national security screw-ups.

    • Looks like Barry picked the wrong movie to back! LOL No drama there! Oh, the irony.

Benghazi has hit the White House fan and there is no spin that will fly now. Not when the Charles Wood comes out and talks about his son, Tyrone–the hero! To think that when the attacks were first making headlines, it was “the Ambassador and 3 others.” Now they all have names and faces! Oddly, the story of Steven’s death and delay of finding his body after being dragged through the streets has not come out. The Fit has hit the Shan and the White House are Dazed and Confused! If it wasn’t such a tragedy, it would be a comedy…of their errors.

      Gloria Who? ;D

    • Okay, something is in the air and I ain’t talking Sandy! It’s Friday afternoon and what happens on Fridays? BIG STUFF they hope gets buried. Dumps. Be alert. Sumthins happenin here…What it is ain’t exactly clear…..

    • Everybody knows Omoslem is guilty as sin.

He’ll still hate the USA. He’ll still apologize for the USA. He’ll still conspire with moslems against the USA.

But after this election (and removal), he’ll do it on his own dime, on his own time — and he won’t represent the USA.

    • I would NEVER want to be on the wrong side of our military…look what happened to Caligula.

The Democrats have been playing the “bread and circuses” game for a long, long time. Nothing lasts for ever. If Romney wins the military might be called in to protect the republic. I’m all for it at this stage.

    • Panetta is going on the offensive, but he still can’t explain satisfactorily why they had a drone, but couldn’t send an armed version. More importantly, he can’t explain why the administration lied, continued to lie and lied some more.

    • The you-know-what has already hit the fan.

Father of the fallen seal is saying they murdered his son.

It’s too late to try and contain this when it has gone this personal.

Let’s see if the media ignores the grieving father of a fallen seal.

      Even they wouldn’t dare.

      • IS
      • The father’s phone call was featured on either Inside Edition or Extra, cant remember, tonight, including the part where he relays the disgusting comment that Biden made about his son’s balls, the size of them. I didn’t believe anything like that was said, but now I do. Hearing the father talk about it made me very very sad.

    • Expect arrests; Whitehouse needs to blame someone, anyone; they’ll claim that they were covering for a “national security issue,” and they just had to lie in order to expose the person leaking national security secrets. They’ll try to paint it as a sting operation.

Won’t work – don’t even try it, you dumb mother-effers.

Likely they’ll seek vengeance on the one who provided them with an excuse to get UBL early – might succeed, but it’ll be a big risk – and it won’t work for public consumption. Panetta has gone over to the dark side.

    • WHY IT IS IMPERATIVE FOR THE BENGHAZI SCANDAL NOT TO BREAK OUT BEFORE THE ELECTIONS

There are times for politics and times for the truth.

As much as I want the truth to come out. As much as I want our fallen special forces heros to be vindicated. As much as I want the frauds in the WH to be exposed and trialed, if there ever were times for politics it is now.

After 4 years of appologies and defeats on the International and Mid-Eastern scenes, exposing Benghazi and the most probable gun running operation associated with it, would be a disaster. It would embolded the jihaddists even more and plunge America in an open crisis of epic proportions with added racial undertones. It would expose America as weak and as a corrupted failure. It would underline to our allies the necessary timing of possible realignment.

There is nothing Muslims love better than humuliating their ennemies. Such is in large measure how they define victory. It would hand them on a silver platter their Big Satan. They would claim (rightfully???) victory in having outplaid Americans to provide them arms and not to defend themselves.

And it would intangle the first months of a Romney Presidency in daily headlines of majestic proportions covering what would not fail to be sensational trials and reports, all that at a time when Romney needs the attention of the country to pull it out of the econimic gutter where it is sombering. It would required him to divert his attention to matters better handled quietly behind the scene.

America does not need months of gutt wrenching testimonies, does not need to expose to the world how low we have fallen. America does not need to expose its first Black President as the total incompetant fraud he is. Voting him out of office is good enough.

Especially considering not going for the jugular would then leave Romney with an unbeatable upper hand over the tinted players. Upper hand he will sourly need to implement all his reforms. Holding the upper echelon of the Democrat party and the Chicago Machine hostages to an impeding scandal, would be much more effective for the nation, than breaking it open.

As matter of fact, such a scandal would be the best poisoned gift the Obama Administration could leave for Romney to deal with upon departure.

And in the now improbable event of an Obama victory, it leaves wide open the possibility of breaking it open in the coming months with the ensuing impeachment against major cabinet members. An attractive tool to exhort cooperation from the WH for a Republican Congress.

So is my humble opinion in the matter. Fire away. I am sure many of you will.

      • Jules
      • Why put off the inevitable? It’s just a little under three months till inauguration. Waiting till after could make Romney look vindictive. The Libs would say that Romney and Republicans just used their power to punish Barry & Co.

Remember Enron? Since that whole scandal broke in 2001, the Libs tried to make people think that as soon GWB got in office, everybody went corrupt. Boom! Enron suddenly book-cooking and criminal, and it’s all Bush’s fault, while of course, all the real shenanigans went on in the ’90s (ahem, Clinton years).

Name, you’re certainly right about the poison, I think it will only get more deadly as time goes on, better to deal with it right away.

Then again, look and F & F everyone too chicken to deal with that or what?

They don’t call me and ask for advice.

        • NameBM
        • But this is the question: Is it unevitable?

In essence, I think you’re right. I always bet on the street. The street (ie. the people in the streets) always has the last word. May be not right away, may be in two weeks, or two years or two decades, but it always has the last word. And if the street demands answers it will get them in the end.

Yet, could you imagine the albatros around Romney’s neck this thing would be? Because the press would do everything possible to delay the total break out until after January.

While if the scandal were to break after the elections, Romney camp could use that to control the lame duck presidency and prevent the passage of massive detrimental laws and treaties.

Now there is nothing I would like more than seeing Jarrett and co, and Obama trialed for treason but I can not imagine the country at large benefiting from it in the end.

The entire black population having just voted again en masse for Obama would not but take it personnaly. It would set back the race relations to the 50′s. The stigma would be so deep, it would take generations to erase it from both ends.

What went on needs to be addressed, no question about that. I do not advocate for burrying the whole disaster. But I think that deals can be made to better advance the recovery while punishing the culprits at all levels in different ways. Plea bargaining for more discret and effective ways to punish them could be on the table. Huge fines for instance, lesser criminal penalties yet preventing them to ever participate in governement positions. Shunning them from the Dem Party, to give such a start in purging itself from the Chicago and Marxist faction.

          Delicate manouever, but feasible.

          • NameBM,

People such as yourself are nothing more than vomit inducing. You are a coward and a glowing example of what is wrong with this country and most especially it’s stark raving mad political elite. You want to use this tragedy to the advantage of a Romney Presidency and supposedly the country and also mask the obvious fall(deservedly so) of this once great country. You want to “use” this episode to try and repair America’s image and not let the muzzies celebrate their victory. You insane little man. The cat’s already out of the bag, America is a freaking joke and the whole world knows it except maniacal maniacs such as yourself. It is insanity such as this that keeps the downward spiral going. Afraid of the blacks, afraid of the muzzies, afraid, afraid, afraid of the freaking truth. None of the families of the victims get justice or the truth, they are just pawns in your sick game. The Victims of Fast and Furious will not get justice or truth either, it seems the same tactic you are espousing is being used there too.

The day the Republicans, The Democrats, The media, the intelligence agencies and all other co-conspirators got and let this devil of a man Obama get elected was the day this country died. A man with no past, no records, obviously forged certificates and lie after lie after lie and anyone who pointed it out was SHOUTED DOWN by both REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS. It’s funny, then they also feared the blacks feared the muzzies, feared , feared, feared.

YOU AND REPUBLICANS, AND DEMOCRATS the media, Fox News Glenn Beck(who shot down all “birthers”) all others who hid and covered for Obama then as now are just as responsible for what has happened in Benghazi. YOU people allowed the obvious to happen. We all knew Obama was a MUZZIE with questionable history who when he got into office would aid the freaking MUZZIE’s to finally regroup and once and for all be rid of Israel and then move on to the west.

You better wake the hell up and understand that only the light of TRUTH will set anything right again. NO ONE BENEFITS FROM LIES AND COVER UP’S.

            • Perceptible Future
            • Excellent points. Bravo. The whole problem, boiled down into a nutshell, is our ability to ignore the obvious that to never, ever let yourself be placed into “Labeled Boxes”. Challenge all theories until your satisfied that you have revealed the truth because it is our responsibility to seek it. Glenn Beck diminishes his sincerity to seek the “truth” by ignoring it.

            • “I don’t think NameBM is insane or asleep. He doesn’t deserve the insults.”

No, he doesn’t. I get your anger, Zelda but NameBM is one of the good guys. The people on here know right from wrong and the punishments due for those that chose the latter rather than the former. But the bottom line is what’s best for the country isn’t always justice being served as brutally as we might want it to be.

I seriously doubt that any of the regulars around here would disagree with anything you said but this isn’t a elementary school playground. It’s the real world. To punish all those that deserve it and to heal the divisions that bad administrations have caused would require an act of omnipotence.

All we can do is vote for those that claim to honor the constitution, hold them accountable if they don’t, fight for the ones that do and persuade our fellow voters to wake the hell up.

Nothing NameBM has ever said has ever made me think he/she is anything other than someone who loves their country and respects both the constitution and the principles this country was founded upon. You owe NameBM an apology.

      • I believe the Benghazi episode is a “bump in the road” to the “o”s overall strategy of taking down Gaddafi in order to flood the “Brotherhood” with military grade weapons as a gift from the “0″…..not the U.S., but the usurper “0″………….

Nothing that has occurred in Libya, or the middle east in general, reflects on the U.S. in any way………..the “0″ owns it, lock-stock and barrel.

        • Zelda
        • Jules,

I don’t care if the insults offend you or him, too bad. Why don’t you go take his plan to the parents of the dead? The plan is pure and simple the plan of a coward and if you’re too “nice” to say it or realize it too freaking bad. We are on the verge of civilizational collapse and you are talking about unfair “insults”.

          • Jules
          • What do you think BM’s words will do? His “plan” as far as I can tell is just talk (no offense), unless he’s some bigshot hanging out here for advice and will actually go do something (or nothing). I don’t even agree with him on that. But he can say what he wants.

All I take is deep breaths. Try it. Than back off, Jack.

          • NameBM
          • Zelda,

let’s not prejudge what the parents of our heros would do or think if presented with a decent plan punishing the culprits while avoiding dragging the country to the mud.

YOu and I do not know.

I get your anger. I have the same one, BUT I am an American above all. There is a difference between being right and being rightous.

This is politics where the endgame is the wellfare of the country before all. Not a feel good game. Not a game for everybody. A game of compromises and hues. The problem as I see it, is that the RINOS have been voting present at the game for way too long, leaving the left running amok for decades.

At the end of the day, November 7 will left half the country sourly disapointed and scared. Because as much as Obama scares us, Romney does scares the liberals as well.

We have to live together and pull together to get this country back on tracks. And having ValJad and co, front and center on TV everyday defending their ugly deeds is something the country could do without in my opinion.

    • The Whitehouse made it clear that they didn’t expect Hillary to be back for a second term – she surprised them. Will she resign, as WHI suggested that someone might? More likely they’ll can poor ol’ Clapper. Who else would fall on the President’s sword (other than his buddies in Chitcago, that is?) He seems to be willing to play Ben Dover in any role they want him to play. Almost feel sorry for the guy.

I figure it’ll be an arrest – a Scooter Libby-type deal, with a promise of a post-prison payoff, or a promise of a slap on the wrist. Seems we’ve seen this in the movies, like “Clear and Present Danger.” Didn’t work then, either. It’ll be an “Intel Insider,” probably the one who confirmed WHI’s account of the UBL mission.

Panetta’s going on the offensive, but he’s like a man with one finger on each hand trying to eat corn on the cob – ungainly and awkward – and if he’s forced to play a Jay Carney, it won’t last long.

I still suspect they’ll try to scapegoat someone for leaking.

This is the beginning of the end.

    • Shucks – Team Zero is probably taking the day off to strategize how to milk Sandy. (Why let a great crisis go to waste?)

Weather pundits are already forecasting the storm’s impact on early voting will favor the Anointed One . . . puke time.

After hurling obscenities at Romney and putting a dunce cap on his head (see Drudge) Team Zero is fresh out of ideas and taking down the east coast power grid might sound like a plan.

      ANYTHING to upstage Benghazi.

    • Essa
    • It sure would be nice to see the capital police make some arrests for crimes against the American people and dereliction of duty. It does not go without notice that congress is largely silent which of course is not a surprise since the banks own most of their souls which they sold to the mega bankers long ago.

I would also imagine now that the truth is beginning to come out, many of those who voted early are probably now regretting their vote for Zero.

      • NameBM
      • This early voting needs to stop. I personnaly like it because it affords me schedule flexibility, but we trade too much in the name of convenience, ie. the equality of information.

By definition the early voters do not have the same amount of information as the election day voters. There is a case to be made against early voting on the basis of equality. One cannot renounce constitutional rights or see them diminished and voting is a constitutional right. Early voting is diminishing one’s voting rights.

    • Obeline
    • Pray that Sandy takes a sharp right – miraculously – and doesn’t make landfall.

      Imagine the power outages –
      enhanced by Team Zero.
      Imagine looting and chaos -
and martial law imposed by Team Zero.

This could be the break they need to cover Benghazi-Gate and steal the election.

I’m not a religious individual, per se — but this seems like a perfect storm requiring Divine Intervention.

The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights. The fighting at the CIA annex went on for more than four hours — enough time for any planes based in Sigonella Air base, just 480 miles away, to arrive. Fox News has also learned that two separate Tier One Special operations forces were told to wait, among them Delta Force operators.

So, they had a laser to target for a C-130 to take out the enemy and Obama called it down. Frankly, the North Koreans may have a better idea about what to do with traitors than our “due process” regarding members of this administration. We don’t need the vulnerability but we don’t need a lame duck letting all the criminals out and signing irreversible treaties…. God help this country.

    • Petraeus throws the drug addict communist pres under the bus…

Breaking news on Benghazi: the CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA director David Petraeus, has put out this statement: “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. ”
So who in the government did tell “anybody” not to help those in need? Someone decided not to send in military assets to help those Agency operators. Would the secretary of defense make such a decision on his own? No.
It would have been a presidential decision. There was presumably a rationale for such a decision. What was it? When and why—and based on whose counsel obtained in what meetings or conversations—did President Obama decide against sending in military assets to help the Americans in need?

        • Whistleblower,

“Has anyone heard or read FBI director Robert Mueller’s name mentioned lately ?”

          Not in about 3 years.

This fits a pattern of this Presiduncy, Clapper being a prime example: there’s a titular head, and there’s the real power; John “al Quds” Brennan is said to be doing Clapper’s job. Wonder who fills Mueller’s shoes? Someone under the control of Holder, probably.

This is a shell government, run by people and powers that emanate from places like Chitcago and Wahhabiville (a little attempt at levity there) and elsewhere. The Whitehouse uses coloring books and play at making sand castles while others dictate.

    • “The Obama regime has been running guns and BIGTIME armaments and munitions, including MANPADS, which are shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles designed to shoot down commercial jetliners, to the Muslim Brotherhood. This is just Fast-and-Furious except that the people being armed are musloids tasked with reforming the Islamic Caliphate instead of the drug cartels. But it is exactly the same thing. Ghadaffi was overthrown because the Obama regime wanted to use a chaotic, destabilized “wild west” Libya as the doorway to the Caliphate to get the arms in for distribution to Syria, Yemen, Jordan, Egypt and eventually Saudi Arabia. Egypt would have been too risky.

Ambassador Chris Stevens and the CIA were somehow, some way running or heavily involved this armament pipeline.

The Obama regime wanted and “needed” Chris Stevens dead, probably to cover the gun and armament running, so they killed him. Word was sent to the Muslim Brotherhood to attack the Benghazi facility. The Obama regime promised that there would be no retaliation and that a cover story about “slandering the prophet” would be provided. The Muslim Brotherhood wins all around. They get to keep all of the arms and MANPADS supplied by Obama with no whistleblowers AND they get their bullshit sharia law agenda advanced and explicitly ratified ” -AB

      • Wow, I just read this elsewhere. What jumped out at me was this (especially the last two sentences:
        —————–
“The battle isn’t over, but it has started,” Zawahiri said, urging “every sincere person in Egypt” to “wage a popular campaign to incite and preach in order to complete the revolution, which was aborted…

Zawahiri said liberating Omar Abdul Rahman, an Egyptian cleric jailed in the United States for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center attack, and inmates at the US prison at Guantanamo Bay was an “obligatory duty for every Muslim.”…

******Zawahiri also called Obama a “professional liar.”

“Obama must admit he and his allies are standing in the defeated line, and that Osama bin Laden, may Allah have mercy on him, and the rest of the Mujahideen and the Muslim Ummah are standing in the victorious line, whether anyone likes it or not.”
        —————-

He sounds a little disappointed, no? He’s obviously no longer a fan of Obama either. Maybe they should arrange a beer summit.

I wonder what he’s making of Bill Clinton’s desperate ads for Obama, linking the name-calling directed at Slick Willie with name-calling of Comrade Odumbo? It makes Clinton look silly, but it also makes him look Presidential compared to Obama – just as in the convention speech.

Bill, you’re not on the ticket. Go away.

    • The Iranians are crowing about their tens-of-thousands of watercraft, armed with ship-killers and torpedos; what I make of this is that Iran is obtaining a significant portion of our MANPADS, for use against us.

As I’ve posted before, I suspect that every place the manufactured demonstrations show up are likely recipients or delivery routes for these weapons. The entire southern Mediterranean – including cruise ships and airliners – are threatened by these. From Libya to Gibraltor and every place in between – Tunis, perhaps? – and the entrances to the Suez itself are potential choke-points, for war and sabotage and perhaps more subtle threats and manipulation, i.e. blackmail.

The Iranians have exposed their intentions just as Obama has rendered us vulnerable, at a time when the wrong spark set to the right gunpowder will set things in motion that cannot be quashed. Leading from behind or leading frm surrender?

I wonder if the administration is even considering such things, since they seem to be up to their eyes in CoverYourAssgate.

Clinton asked for more security in Benghazi, Obama said no

      http://www.examiner.com/article/clinton-asked-for-more-security-benghazi-obama-said-no

Last night, it was revealed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had ordered more security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi before it was attacked where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens were murdered by Al-Qaeda but President Obama denied the request.

The news broke on TheBlazeTV’s “Wilkow!” hosted by Andrew Wilkow, by best-selling author, Ed Klein who said the legal counsel to Clinton had informed him of this information.

Klein also said that those same sources said that former President Bill Clinton has been “urging” his wife [Hillary] to release official State Department documents that prove she called for additional security at the compound in Libya, which would almost certainly result in President Obama losing the election…..

Chris Stevens was tortured, gang ass raped, killed, and his dead body was gang ass raped again because the initial order came from Washington D.C. to kill him. The details really didn’t concern the murderers sitting in Washington watching it happen via drone-cam . . . .

One of the SEALs was on the roof of the building painting a target with a laser expecting a drone or a gunship to engage. What the SEAL failed to understand is that the drone he knew was flying above him was in fact the asset of the very people who ordered the strike, and that they were back in Washington watching via that drone-cam, cooly waiting . . . .

no way this admin gets off scott free. too much known by foreign gov’t's. lucky if his own party does not indict him. people worried about election – - it’s an issue, but not paramount. so much has been exposed, so many have been betrayed, so many are trapped as willing participants…
this administration is trying desperately to maintain a vail of control. it’s slipping, and quickly.
danger is not with republicans. danger is with his own party. nancy with respect to syria… panetta with respect to bin laden… cia with respect to benghazi… rahm knows all and is allied with clintons… progs have lost control and don’t realize it… and more… insider probably knows. inform him.
admin has lost respect of own, closest constituents. a few installments back, WHI told UM that a military coup would be a dizazter for many reasons… that’s true, and until recently, it was unthinkable… reaching a point where it seems possible… very, very scary…
i’m a patriotic and realistic individual. things are verging on calamity…
damage must be contained for good of world/country. let the history be written later. maintain control; let election declare romney as victor fair and square; expose the sins of the administration only after the world has settled down.
NameBM is right. there’s a time for truth and a time for politics. we do not seek a world on fire. that would be self-defeating.
let the naysayers crow. they know no better. usa does not need trial by foreign interests… “’nuff said”…
      sincerely,

    • Obama and Panetta on the same page…

      Interesting link here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2950882/posts
Comment #2 — Gen Ham was fired 30 seconds after deciding to intervene in Benghazi: I heard a story today from someone inside the military that I trust entirely. The story was in reference to General Ham that Panetta referenced in the quote below.
      quote:
“(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place,” Panetta told Pentagon reporters. “And as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. Ham, Gen. Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation.”
The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.
General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.
The story continues that now General Rodiguez would take General Ham’s place as the head of Africon.
I found this story when I got home after hearing this story.
      quote:
President Barack Obama will nominate Army Gen. David Rodriguez to succeed Gen. Carter Ham as commander of U.S. Africa Command and Marine Lt. Gen. John Paxton to succeed Gen. Joseph Dunford as assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced.
As I was typing this I heard John Bolton on Greta say that there are conflicting reports of General Ham’s comments on this tragedy and why a rapid response unit was not deployed. Bolton says someone needs to find out what Ham was saying on 9/11/12

The General’s testimony contradicts the rosy view of Afghanistan, as well as his smiling view of Libya. Pages 3 and 4 are pertinent. Note that Afghanistan is 7th on a list of “failed states,” confirming that our military isn’t with the administration’s lies about the enemy – and confirming Lara Logan’s view of the state d’affairs.

I hope the General is safe – the next step for this criminal administration is to silence him.

    • General Ham’s name keeps coming up – http://royce.house.gov/uploadedfiles/royce.ltr.clinton.4.19.11.libya.20.000.pdf

He was inconvenient to the White House, denying them their metanarrative, bringing up things that showed the administration’s incompetence. This is the administration that thought Solyndra was a good deal, remember – they can’t tell a plan from a bedpan.

Assuming the Idiot in Chief was angered at reports of Panetta doing the deed vis-a-vis UBL (safe bet); assuming that Panetta was threatened by White House counsel – and he probably was; assuming that the President was going to take full control of the Benghazi affair, and show everybody who really runs things…imagine a President who is sitting there, telling them that they’re gonna have to deal with it, to watch the death of the Ambassador real-time: HE’s the President, dammit, and he can order a rescue mission – or not.

I wonder if there are any Insiders who were aware of the realtime drama, the order to set General Ham aside, the de facto order to murder Ambassador Stevens?

Is Leon really gonna take this? Petraeus has already said that the CIA wasn’t in the loop on this. I’m beginning to think Randall may be seeing something.

    • By-the-way: Biden cancelled his Central Va. stop “because of the storm.” Yeah, right.

Good move, Joe; the security couldn’t be made safe in that venue. Stay safe – and get off of your statins. That’s what’s making you goofy. They can cause amnesia and Alzheimers’ like symptoms. Didn’t you know that?

    • VTX
    • Tyrone Woods’ father probably knows this already, but if not:

The failure of our President and his staff to send help had nothing to do with operational capability; there was also someone willing to act – General Ham. Perhaps Mr. Woods should be in contact with General Ham – or have their attorneys talk. Here’s the evidence:

“Ham also disclosed that the U.S. is providing some strike aircraft to the NATO operation that do not need to go through the special approval process recently established. The powerful side-firing AC-130 gunship is available to NATO commanders, he said.

“His answer countered earlier claims by the Pentagon that all strike aircraft must be requested through U.S. European Command and approved by top U.S. leaders, including Defence Secretary Robert Gates.

“Ham said that process still applies to other fighters and the A-10 Thunderbolt, which can provide close air support for ground forces, He said that process is quick, and other defence officials have said it can take about a day for the U.S. to approve the request and move the aircraft in from bases in Europe.”

This shows the motive for the removal of the General – he had a different view of the status of support claimed by the Pentagon; he knew that a mission could be arranged rapidly.

Panetta is failing – because a general who knows his stuff was told to stand down over a difference in operational COC. It had nothing to do with operational capability, and everything points right back to…the Bat Faced One and her Little Man.

Leon, don’t be a hero – not for them; be a hero for Tyrone Woods and the other murdered men, and for our security’s sake.

      • VTX
      • The administration is trying to scrub all references to General Ham’s removal from his command – while there were several, fewer remain.

This story isn’t gonna get swept under the rug – I talked to a buddy today in passing who was aware, someone way down the COC. It’s around – all around – and no one is gonna stuff this genie back into the bottle.

Notice that Panetta dropped Ham’s name – he tried to make him a co-conspirator. I wonder how long the General will put up with this? He should be getting legal counsel – real legal counsel.

    • One huge circus as EVERYONE in the administration is passing the buck to run out the clock. Lies, Fraud and sheer Incompetence at every turn.

” . . . Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told reporters at the Pentagon on Thursday that there was not a clear enough picture of what was occurring on the ground in Benghazi to send help.

“There’s a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking going on here,” Panetta said Thursday. “But the basic principle here … is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on.”

That is pure, unadulterated, absolute and utter bullshit. Panetta needs to be removed from office immediately. There were two military drones on station providing real time visual intelligence – that in addition to continuous ground reports. The most dangerous enemy asset was laser designated, for God’s sake. Bottom line, Panetta had better real time intelligence than 99.99% of all military commanders in history have ever had when deploying troops. There is a pretty clear line between criticizing unconscionable operational failure and “monday morning quarterbacking.” This failure to act was the former, it was was pure risk aversion that got our people killed. . . ”

      http://wolfhowling.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-benghazi-scandal-worsens-risk.html

During WWII, OSS founder General “Wild Bill’ Donovan was running agents to infiltrate Nazi Germany. His maxim subordinated theory to action: THE PERFECT IS THE ENEMY OF THE GOOD.

Pity Panetta & Co. never learned any history.

The entire government is due for a thorough housecleaning.

    • Can’t help but thinking that Benghazi is only the straw that broke the camel’s back, the tip of the iceberg. Once this flood gate opens all bets are off. Depends on how far certain parties want to push the envelope.
Anyone ever lived throw a, let’s call it, “non-conventional transition” on here?
      That’s the scariest. Happy Halloween!

      • VTX
      • Yes, I have: when Nixon resigned, the Executive Branch kind of went into a receivership, though the VP did take over eventually; there were precautions taken.

Washington was allegedly in a state of sheer terror after other events, too, Kent State being one of them. It’s been suggested that the threat was wildly overestimated. But the government knows how to survive, one way or another; it’s good a that.

I think there’ll be a deal of some sort – there usually is, like when Brooks exposed the junta attempt by the North cabal. The Iran/Contra stuff was all a sideshow, a distraction from the attempted FEMA takeover involving certain folks from the NSA. One had an unhappy accident later on, and North was branded “unfit” for office in his Senate candidacy by Senator John Warner – and was deemed a traitor to her father by Maureen Reagan.

A lot goes on beneath the surface. There will be no open coup attempt, because that’s not how it’s done. But there will be repercussions – it doesn’t matter how long it takes, they eventually happen. Even Bill Clinton and Leon Panetta may find themselves in a strange way one day, for dismantling various Intel/Defense sectors.

          • VTX
          • General Ham should by all means get counsel – and protection.

You can see the video of North and Sullivan in the hearings – when asked about the coup attempt, the attempt to subvert the Constitution by people in the NSC; Sullivan did his job, and he did a very good job of it.

If General Ham did order a rescue mission, he should be as brave as General Shelton on the Lightsquared issue – another issue where national security could have been compromised, where our Defense GPS could have been blinded and unable to communicate.

I assume General Ham is being sequestered, and is somewhat in the same position as James Clapper: not actually removed, but not actively involved – his replacement is doing the heavy lifting. This is just an assumption, but the story of the gunship not supporting the men in the compound is too much in evidence – and if the story about General Ham isn’t accurate, it’s something that happened under someone else’s command.

The Whitehouse did not want these men rescued.

      • Watergate was a joke; it was a third-rate burglary by wannabee spooks, covered up by a paranoid President who didn’t know half of what was going on; the coverups in this administration make that Watergate look like a complete non-event.

The coverup here is in the press – the press is the New Nixon!

When Nixon resigned, there were concerns about his mental stability – not as serious as our concerns about Obama’s, but concerns nonetheless. Every contingency plan has a contingency plan.

    • VTX
    • Diplomatic sources claim that Obama offered to re-establish full ties with Iram soon after he got into office – (link below) Iran refused. Go figure.

This shows why Obama has done a number of things – or hasn’t done them, actually:
      - when our drone was shot down, he refused to send in a missile to destroy it, and Iran has been able to reverse engineer the instrument
      - Obama refused to even acknowledge the Green Movement in Iran, showing his solidarity with those in power.
      - the rebuffs of Bibi Netanyahu – by Rice and Obama and everybody else in the administration – show that Obama sides with Iran over Israel. Rice didn’t attend Netanyahu’s speech, instead deciding to have lunch instead with a chummie.

      http://www.timesofisrael.com/obama-offered-to-reestablish-ties-with-iran-paper-reports/

Note that “two Western diplomats close to the administration” contributed to this story. As one observer put it, to paraphrase: when the State Department begins to oppose a liberal administration, you’re pretty much effed.
