Romney Taunted by Reporters Over FEMA

Gov. Mitt Romney was taunted Tuesday by reporters who wanted to know if he would abolish FEMA.

According to the Washington Post, Romney was asked repeatedly whether he would end federal disaster assistance – and scolded for not answering – as Hurricane Sandy wrought destruction across the upper East Coast:

“Governor, you’ve been asked 14 times. Why are you refusing to answer the question?” one asked.

Romney ignored the reporters’ queries and continued loading up the truck. Earlier, during the event, he ignored similar queries.  LINK

Isn’t it interesting how the media joins as one to push Mitt Romney on an answer he gave to a question over a year ago regarding how states should expect to take on a larger role in dealing with natural disasters vs simply waiting for the federal government’s response, and yet this same media refuses to show any semblance of the same kind of determination in seeking answers from the Obama White House on a far more important and timely issue as the Benghazi Massacre?

How interesting – and disgusting.

    • Romney needs to look them straight in the eyes and tell them that Obama is proposing $900 Million be cut in FEMA’s budget through sequestration. He then needs to ask them how much they have questioned Obama regarding Benghazigate and the blood of Americans’ on his hands.

    • Agree with REBEL YELL….but maybe later. All this was predictable. And what else are they going to do until election day. I’m sure the Romney campaign are well aware of all this. Probably didn’t answer b/c it was not the opportune time….don’t want to accomodate them and twist it into looking like it’s being politicized. They are trying to make this a larger issue than it is. It’s not. I’m pleased to see Fox is back to reporting and asking hard questions re Benghazigate. They will continue and I also hope additional info hurtful to Obama will be coming out soon. People will be listening over the weekend and by then all this storm stuff will not be of interest. It’s over.
We were all anxious to see what damage was done, etc. but that is done.
So the issue of short attention spans that WHI was worried about will work to our favor now on out – as people will be moving on from the storm. Already have. WHI – remember what you said —- “onward and upward” !!!!

Again – I want to reiterate — I hear the Senate may be in jeopardy of not getting a majority…..please support and pray.. It is vitally important and many forget that.

    • The lefties in the media have lost all credibility and it shows in their abysmal ratings and dying newspapers. Obama is the king of avoiding questions and we the people know it. Furthermore, while Obama is preening, Gov. Romney has rolled up his sleeves and is working to help those in need.

    • Blue states Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Oregon are collapsing for “Obama”.
Romney (unlike some republicans) is too savvy to let himself be drawn into the co-conspirators phony narrative.
Relax, he knows better than you do.

    • Zero’s campaign has an abysmal record to run on and the mainstream media is now relegated to bobbing for apples in the toilet and are still coming up empty. Hopefully, more and more people will open their eyes and realize the mainstream media is truly the enemy of the people and have been for years.

There are cracks in the new world order with new lawsuits against the mega-banks and through our votes to rid our government of some of the most terrible grotesque puppets. With any luck, maybe our future leaders will have the sense to tell the UN to shove off, and get out of our country.

This is our country, and those in government should be reminded as such, less there be a revolution for the people, by the people to restore freedom and liberty.

    • Regardless of the outcome of this election, this is a very bad sign for a republic. A news media that has essentially been co-opted by the rogue and criminal party. An alternative news media that is maligned but continues to grow. A self-correction, if you will.

Still, the issue remains that the msm is dominant. They shape the narrative for the majority. Younger voters and those still too young to vote are trending more Republican, but the issue remains this election. If re-elected, what condition will O leave the gov’t and Constitution in? What about the world?

It’s very hard to say who will win this election… my gut says Romney, but I’ve been known to have gastrointestinal problems.

P.S. even if O wins, he could be entering a political firestorm.

    • After this is all over and criminality has been proved, I think a group of citizens must launch a lawsuit against those networks for colluding in a crime AND THE COVERUP

    • Jake Tapper – Anderson Cooper – Bill Plant – Martha Radditz . . . all complicit in perpetuating this crime called BarackHUSSEINObama. Each dares to call him/herself a professional journalist?

” . . . How much can they ignore? Was it easy when Lawrence Sinclair was made a political prisoner, held in prison, held with threats of life imprisonment for crimes he never committed, had his benefits taken away, was hounded by Biden’s Delaware Syndicate to silence him, was hounded by Obamaniacs with death threats in being a gay sexual associate of Mr. Obama…….all to cover up Obama’s past? . . .”

” . . .For not one reporter to literally snap on a live interview where the message would get out, and to say, “Hey I’m not going to take this anymore, not going to cover up for Obama, because people are being murdered and I just can not absorb this without saying anything”, is a testimony in how absolutely animalistic all of this is from these reporters for Obama.

None of them are [sic] quitting, but keep collecting that paycheck and keeping silent as that is what is more important to them is their egos on camera and protecting this criminal Obama. . .”

    • Just be patient. Since when has FEMA *EVER* burst into action. It takes them weeks to even wake up, much less start doing anything even romotely useless. It’s two days after the storm. By 8 days after the storm, the homeless, unemployed, cold, hungry miserable storm victims are not going to be praising FEMA. They are going to be wondering why FEMA hasn’t done jack shit thing for THEM or THEIR community. This will NOT play to Obama’s advantage. He just doesn’t know it yet. That’s why he keeps preening about it. Give it a few days.

    • I’m trying it without the links hoping it’ll post.

There are three photos (on the official White House website) showing President Obama in the Situation Room monitoring Hurricane Sandy.

Now, what is important is that these photos prove what WHI was saying about the Bin Laden raid and Obama not being there. Look at where Obama is sitting at the table. He’s at the head of the table, there is paperwork and ‘debris’ from being in a meeting (coffee cups, water, Obama in a suit, etc). If you look at the Situation Room photo of the Bin Laden raid none of that is present. Obama was in golfing clothes and was sitting off to the side of the table while everyone else at the table had normal meeting remnants around them.
