A longtime D.C. political operative sends this outline of how Mitt Romney wins Tuesday to become the next President of the United States.

Insider: My work is all but done, so now just like you and a whole lot of others, I’m going into watch and wait mode. That said, here’s how I see Tuesday’s vote playing out based on a combination of first person knowledge of the ground game, a hell of a lot of experience, and just plain old gut feeling. You asked for a break down of my thoughts, so here it is. Going to focus on the swing states and a that surprise win for the governor I told you about before.

Virginia: We got 13 electorals up for grabs to get the night rolling. Romney takes it by about 60-70 thousand votes. McDonnell has done some very solid work for us in the state and that has been a big advantage.
Pennsylvania: Some major trending for the governor right now that is being totally under-reported by the media. Some counties looking like they will be upwards of 70% Romney. #s will be played tight via media reports during early hours of election night, but watch for a call by around 8:30 or so for the governor. And that my friend, is when the entire liberal establishment really starts to do the backside pucker. The campaign is leaving off Nevada in favor of Pennsylvania this weekend. Much bigger prize. Romney by upwards of 200 thousand votes. Something a lot of the pundits and pollsters are leaving out on the coverage of Pennsylvania is Governor Corbett. He’s been a major player in that state’s power structure for some time, and was a very popular Attorney General there before winning election as governor in 2010. He knows how to defeat Democrats, been doing it for the last couple decades. Beat his Dem opponent in 2010 by almost 10 points. Great ground game and that will pay dividends for us on Tuesday.
North Carolina: Romney. Early call.
Florida: Romney wins this by about 100,000 votes. The Jewish and Cuban votes are putting him well over the top here. Florida is always a big win for the one who gets it, and this time it’s the governor’s.
Wisconsin: Like McDonnell in Virginia, Walker has really helped with the ground game structure in Wisconsin. Incredible work due largely to that structure already being in place for the recent recall vote. Huge pick-up for the governor. The beginning of the “turn out the lights” moment for the Obama campaign. Romney by 30,000 votes which is a huge reversal from 2008. Something interesting has been happening in Wisconsin the last couple years. Major shift toward conservatism.
Iowa: Romney is going to sneak this one out by maybe 5-10 thousand votes. Very tight race. Good news is, we don’t need the state. A pick-up here is a bonus.
Colorado: By now the country will have a very good idea we have elected a new president. Romney will take Colorado by upwards of a 100,000 votes. Maybe a bit more. Like Wisconsin, a big shift away from the 2008 Obama #s.
Oregon: This is my you gotta be crazy call but I mentioned it to you before and I’m sticking to it. The most recent poll out there had Obama up six. That poll was a small sample though, and half that sample came from residents of Portland. The real deal is this, the state is basically split between the two candidates and has a huge % of undecideds who in the end will break for the governor. A late night shocker that will give the governor the ability to call this a mandate election.
Now you probably see I haven’t mentioned Ohio. A couple reasons. Don’t trust the voting out there. I know things can be rigged there more than other states with very few exceptions. (Nevada) That’s just the facts. The Romney team has done a good job of trying to stay ahead of that possibility so I’m hoping for the best but my gut says prepare for the worst. Good news is that Ohio is shaping up to be a state we won’t need if my Pennsylvania prediction holds up. If the governor takes Pennsylvania and Ohio, we got our electoral landslide.
My #s right now, with all the data I’ve compiled, all my experience, and that gut feeling I told you about, has the governor circling about 300 electorals on Tuesday with the chance for a bit more than that if trending really pops for us in the final 48 like we saw happen for Reagan back in ’80.
Now try and enjoy the weekend. Actually, I’ll end with this and I really mean it here. Know I’ve said it already but want to repeat it. If Barack Obama is re-elected on Tuesday they stole it. There is no way my straight up #s are that off. They will have stolen this election. Buried votes, multiple counts, all of that will have been done and to such a degree they risk exposure. But they might be willing to risk it. Ok, that probably doesn’t leave you in the right frame of mind to enjoy your weekend but wanted to say it again. Don’t underestimate the Romney team here though. They have been notified multiple times about this stuff and have the resources to make that kind of stealing much more difficult than previous elections. So while it’s a concern, it’s not something I’m losing sleep over. Not that I sleep much anyways these days.
How about by around 10:00 on Tuesday the drinks are on me? I’m more sure than not you’ll be in the mood for some celebration.
That’s my call.

Just curious, obxpatriot, are you located on or spend a lot of time on the NC OBX? I used to spend a lot of time in Duck and really enjoyed the area. After locating from Greensboro, NC, to the metro Atlanta area, it is just too long a trip to the OBX.

SS is also a very nice area. During my trips to Duck, I always had a good time at the Roadside Cafe… their after dinner namesake coffee drink was to die for. I also enjoyed Blue Point. I hope they are still around.
The evil-doers in Wisconsin were the public unions and the Democraic Legislators who are bought and paid for by them. A majority of good citizens not employed by either put down the publc union efforts and defeated the recall. If Romney doesn’t take Wisconsin, it will confirm that “all politics are local.”
I am glad WHI is being more positive than a couple of days ago. I know he, UM and WHI along with just about everyone who posts comments on this site have been stressed to the max. I waited in line for about an hour and a half to vote today. County Sheriff Department was directing traffic and monitoring the long line of voters. A local tv station had a guy videoing general shots and he spoke (innocent conversation, I think) to a few folks as he was passing by. Bad move on his part. A Deputy approached him and warned him that he was breaking the law by speaking to anyone prior to their voting and told him if he did it again, he would be arrested. The cop was not kidding. The waiting crowd was very civil and at no time did I hear anyone discussing politics and everyone was polite. Even with the fairly long wait, it felt good to do my part for Romney/Ryan.
That’s comforting news coming from a very experienced one who should know….matches what I’ve been feeling in my “gut” also — landslide IF they don’t succeed at stealing and I feel more confident about that not being successful as in the past. However, I still feel like they might do that (to their detriment) – b/c if they do, as WHI says, it will be very suspicious and I think we will be able to prove it. So the scenario may be that they call it for Obama at first but then we will prove fraud and/or miscount, whatever and Romney wins.
In other words, Romney wins one way or another. And yes, if that doesn’t happen – Obama will have won by stealing only. Always felt that.
And…I wouldn’t be that surprised if we win Oregon either. So I agree with WHI. BUT,again, realize if Romney wins and we don’t win the Senate majority, we won’t be able to do what needs to be done. Work, support, pray for that also!!!

WHI knows way more than I do, but Michael Barone was out in Ohio and told Hannity point blank it was going to Romney. As for the cheating, I find it real hard to believe with a GOP governor, Speaker Boehner being from Ohio, and Senator Bob Portman being from Ohio that a lot of cheating will happen there. Maybe I am naive, but we are talking some seasoned hands, real survivors, who probably know all the tricks. I am going to predict that Governor Romney wins it by 5 points.
I heard on today’s news (had to be Fox) that Ohio dems had 500+ names of poll watchers already submitted to the state board of elections. Republican party had zero. Not sure if this is because they’re still setting up their crews or if they just don’t have the bodies.
Earlier on Fox they interviewed some people in charge of elections, etc. in Ohio about how it was going re fraud – like it used to be with Acorn, etc. (really bad). They had some very encouraging news that they had changed their administration people and made reforms and so far they haven’t seen much of anything to be of concern – certainly nothing like it was with Acorn before.
And, with the huge mess in NY and NJ people will throw the demsheviks overboard in a NY second…

I live in a suburb of Milwaukee and I can tell you exactly why it’s happened and why it mirrors what’s happening nationally. The courage of Scott Walker in opposing public employee unions brought to the forefront the reality that government workers expect high pay, high benefits, easy work, and early retirement, and they expect us to pay for it on matter how much it costs. And when challenged by Walker, they became unbelievably nasty and petty.
You’re seeing it now nationally with the nastiness and pettiness of the Obama campaign. The masks dropped off liberals in Wisconsin to expose corrupt rent-seekers. The same thing will happen nationally.

Although Obama campaign continues to claim they are winning because more registered Dems are voting early, there is no way 90% of Dems are voting for Obama. I suspect there are a lot more “Democrats for Romney” – as the sign above indicates – in Florida and all around the country.
I voted few hours ago in FL. The wait was not too bad at this specific location. I have my flyers ready and I am passing around voting recommandations for the minor races and specially for the No on the Supreme Court Judges. Enough of these libs legislating from the banch.

You and I voted identically. I also share your sentiments concerning Connie Mack. There were Tea Party candidates I much preferred in the primaries, but many of our old school conservatives here still don’t get the big picture.
NRA gave Mack an ‘A’ rating on 2nd amendment rights, so I guess that’s worth something.

I like WHI’s take on the election, but I’ll add that I like another observer’s: that once the land begins to shift, the whole side of the mountain will shift. 70% Romney, 30% Obama. When that happens, you’ll know that a miracle has occured. And if a miracle has happened, that’s when you should get down on your knees a second time.

A disaster that is working against Obama – as it should, because it’s just further evidence of his incompetence.
Turns out that the Jersey Governor knows how to play resentment: a Republican, getting special favors from Obama, leaving HIS PEOPLE in NYC to drown, freeze, starve and suffer every ignomy known to man – including assaults, rapes, thefts and frauds. This is Obama’s disaster; it is his alone.
The message: the Obama government can’t protect you; his government can’t help you: one day, if he’s reelected, the fed will be totally bankrupt, and this will be what we see in almost every neighborhood – (except for those who will have long ago stopped depending upon an indolent federal regime that is more interested in creating rules-that-cause-harm than solving problems.)
The result?

These folks had no way to go anywhere either to try to find help, or food, or even to get out of the area altogether.

Cant help but wonder if WHI’s comment about Obama stealing it is his “out” if Obama wins the election. It’s like he is saying, “its not my numbers that are wrong, they stole it.”
I no longer trust WHI. I don’t trust his numbers. I don’t trust that he isn’t also secretly working against Republicans in some way to this day. How would he be able to maintain his cover all this time unless he was working dirty against Romney as well.
I have a horrible feeling that all our passion is lost on this. Obama is going to win using any means necessary. WHI started the ball rolling on all our misery back in 2008. I fear we are going to be living in hell for another 4 years.

“This election may be more about the surrender of America to Islam than anyone realizes.
Recent interviews with highly-placed officials in a number of European and South American banking circles indicates a new, almost irrational fear that is beginning to rise among them. It’s not about inflation, depression or recession, but it is so frightening to these individuals that they are being driven to talk about something they typically never talk about.

Some of these folks have survived the Marxist hordes and done rather well, but that is not their major concern at present. “We don’t want to have to fight a war with people who would rather die than live,” one banking executive recently divulged. “That becomes a lose-lose proposition for everyone.” In Europe alone, the examples are many of car bombings, suicide bombers, assassins, and regions being taken over by Muslims. These answer to the whim of imams who incite the people to murderous levels of violence. While it is barely known in the American press, entrenched Muslims have established zones in major European cities in which non-Muslims dare not go for fear of being raped, killed, or both. A rumor will upend a city, a wrong word or sentence will have the streets filled with violent attackers bent on avenging some slight against their totalitarian religious system or their sainted child-molesting prophet.
There is no room for “diversity” within this group. There is no flexibility in which a criminal subculture can blossom and grow, as in capitalist and even many Marxist nations. The Islamist paradigm necessitates a complete supplanting of all existing systems. The “new criminals” will use their membership in the death cult as leverage to take over all profitable enterprises, backed by the profits from prostitution, gambling, drugs, alcohol, stock and land value manipulations, con games, and all the old vices that provided the fortunes of the infidels they replace. As we saw in Afghanistan, the “holy” façade used by these bearded thugs is but a sham; entire households of women were routinely raped by the Taliban. A sacrament of some sort, I suppose.
Be afraid; be very afraid
With this turn of events, international bankers see their kingdoms crashing around them. The Sharia bankers and elite members of the new regimes will demand their abeyance to the Muslim way – dhimmitude – or the highway, which is really just a euphemism for death. The bankers of the world see the writing on the wall (mene, mene, tekel, upharsum, anyone?); the fall of America will leave them nowhere safe to go.
And what does that mean for the average American? Be afraid; be very afraid.
If this had been during the days of the great re-organization of the Mafia families that resulted in their dividing up the United States into workable units with rules and regulations that lasted for 50 years, we could use that as an example. But we are now entering into the age that the Founding Fathers foresaw in their wisdom and warned against. The producers are now a smaller group than the non-producers; Obama and his ACORN-like groups have seen to it that the takers will vote their own stomachs. It does not matter to the takers that what they get has to come from somewhere (someone else). In their conditioned ignorance and belligerence, they simply don’t care. As one of Obama’s less articulate followers stated back in 2008, “Obama will take it from his stash.”
It does not much matter if Americans come to widely acknowledge that Obama’s education was partially underwritten by a Saudi billionaire if they do not comprehend the why of it. The Saudis have been subsidizing mosques in the US that instruct in Sharia law for decades, while presenting a capitalist face for American politicians and corporate captains who are clueless as to their objective of establishing a global caliphate.
There are now campaigns going on in Europe to deport Muslims; yes, in Europe, which has always been decades ahead of America in its self-destructive multicultural and socialist pursuits. Now, many there are realizing that it’s a matter of their very survival. Some prominent radical imams have been forced to leave France, and it’s likely that the trend will continue and proliferate. As Muslims engage authorities in anger over this, they will be forced to respond by purging even more Muslims.
China, with all its newfound economic power, has its own difficulties. They fear one group of people, and prove it via the almost annual ritual of confrontation with and murder of Islamists in Western China. A few hundred die and things settle down again, but the demographics are setting up an ultimate failure for these regions of what is called the “Hidden Kingdom.” The followers of the crescent moon and black flag will soon overrun their confined areas and move out where the Islamic infection will spread.
The average Muslim woman produces eight children. In China, eight is that perfect, lucky number, but it will also spell the demise of China if Muslims are allowed to have mobility in the country and are continued an exemption from China’s one child policy. To date, there is little mobility in China, but the demand for education is producing something of a diaspora with the rising Muslim population. Under the pretext of education, they are going to school in ever-expanding areas, and with them the growing undercurrent of jihadist sentiment is rising. The Chinese have a different set of survival skills than Westerners; when the Muslim situation reaches critical mass, they will no doubt deal with it in their own inimitable and unique fashion.
When the money men of the world are nervous, and America is selling itself down the river of economic dependency, and a new, malicious threat is being embraced rather than confronted, we all have much to fear. As Geert Wilders warned, “Islam must be fought at every turn.” Far too few Americans yet comprehend that fact. This election may be more about the surrender of America to Islam than anyone realizes.”

Sometime during the Clinton administration, I had a very uneasy feeling – I can’t say for sure when it started. Might have even begun under HW Bush. The feeling was that there were those in the Establishment who desired our surrender. To whom, it was asked. I didn’t know; it was just a feeling of betrayal.
Frenk Herbert’s Dune series (the first three) might bave been part of it: Duke Leto’s men were all “encouraged” to adopt the planet’s religion, which was a metaphor for Islam. It’s all there – a blueprint, even though in novel form, and certainly glib, as the “Fremen” are painted as hard-but-noble. It was a point of view from a novelist who was pretentious as he was prescient (a term he used quite frequently.) Portentious or not, the books were chilling, if you considered what it might mean for us…
Do we always take science fiction books for prophecy? Sometimes they are predictive – in this case, absolutely. There’s no question that our military leaders from certain upbringings are encouraging conversion to Islam – as well as some of our Intel folks hiding at the top of the ranks. Politicians – I know some locals – who are apparently ready for the Big Surrender.
Not this time. We will never surrender to Islam – and while the Alan Graysons of the world shout blood libels against Christians, serious Christians – not the weebly-wobbly types – are all that stands between Israel (and American Jews) and the hordes of murderous Muslim thugs. Once there…once Israel is gone, the battle is everywhere, just like before, with Vichy-like Soros’ in every coffee shop and at every street corner. The battle will have begun. And the Alan Graysons of the world – and the Anthony Weiners – will have ushered in the worst battle ever fought.
I am wrong about a lot of things, but unless we see the enemy and confront the enemy and defeat the enemy…this will come to pass. Another Israel might come into being – if this one is destroyed – but another Holocaust, worse than the last one, is just a Presidency away.
I agree with your take that the Libs decided to surrender a long time ago, but I think I disagree with the when. It was back under Carter they decided to surrender to the Communists. The issue you bring up has been simmering “below the radar” thanks to our absent mainstream media. Then Benghazi happened, and the “video” was blamed; Hillary went so far as to run ads in Pakistan denying US government involvement in the making of the video. The video appears to be a convenient scape goat to appease 16/18 as much as divert Obama/Hillary/Panetta responsibility for Benghazi. But when does a foreign policy “blunder” cross the line into treason? Well, maybe when it is not a blunder at all but the entirely predictable consequence of a deliberate policy that invites attack on our embassies and indeed our homeland.
The word treason means a betraying, treachery, or breach of allegiance. Article III of the U.S. Constitution defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. If radical Islam is a self-declared enemy of the United States, as can be easily demonstrated, Obama has certainly given them aid and comfort: Most Americans will think that welcoming the Muslim Brotherhood into the White House and appointing Muslim Brotherhood members to important posts does in fact constitute “aid and comfort.”
If the Muslim Brotherhood is not an avowed enemy of the United States, what else should we call an organization that openly and officially calls for the replacement of the U.S. Constitution by Shariah law? Apparently, an Islamist armed to the teeth must carry an al-Qaida membership card to qualify for Obama’s distrust.
Here is the brute fact of the matter. The attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi was a terrorist act. Obama’s foreign policies and decisions not only left the consulate vulnerable to attack but in fact invited the attack – and then he blamed an unknown American film for the attack and turned a blind eye on the al-Qaida allied terrorists who were responsible.
Despite the establishment media’s best efforts to protect Obama from any fallout from the Benghazi deaths, we now know that Obama and his team lied about those events.
Obama lied when he said the attack on the consulate was a spontaneous act in response to an obscure film no one in Libya had yet seen. He knew differently. He lied when he said the Libyan embassy staff had not requested additional security for its Benghazi consulate. He lied in the weeks leading up to the Benghazi attack when he said al-Qaida had been “knocked back on its heels” and is no longer a threat to the United States.
Obama’s lies about the Benghazi attack and the four American deaths are lies told to cover up not State Department “incompetence” but the predictable consequences of policies of denial, neglect and stupidity toward our nation’s enemy, radical Islam.
But here is the most damning aspect Obama’s behavior. Obama is unwilling even today to name the enemy that has declared war on the United States and to deal forthrightly with that imminent threat. Our pro-Islamist president will not name Islamism, the Muslim Brotherhood and the government of Iran as enemies of the United States even though they have declared war on us and are engaged in numerous plots to bring death and destruction to the American homeland.
Why are we so reluctant to call this by its right name – treason?
The failure in Benghazi was more than a State Department failure to provide needed security for the embassy personnel in our Libyan outpost. That failure is bad enough, but it is only part of a larger betrayal. Additional security was denied to Benghazi consulate because doing so would have been an admission that eastern Libya was under the effective control of armed militias allied with al-Qaida. Making that admission would have undermined one of the pillars of Obama’s re-election.
The many unanswered questions about Benghazi are unanswered for only one reason: Truthful answers would embarrass Obama and jeopardize his re-election. This is election fraud conducted not from Chicago but straight from the West Wing of the White House.
Thanks to a compliant media, the American people will not have those answers in time to make an informed choice on Tuesday. It will fall to the people’s representatives in Congress to find those answers. And when the full truth is known, Congress must consider removing Barack Obama for giving aid and comfort to America’s enemies – and that is treason against the United States.”
