“Let It Burn” – Conservatives Embracing Radical Left Agenda?

Came across an interesting take on the origins of the now-popular “L.I.B.” acronym that is popping up on so many conservative-leaning forums.  Could the present anger and frustration of conservatives be used against them to help facilitate the progressive American “reset” agenda?  Perhaps…

EXCERPT:  (via Wilderness of Mirrors)

L.I.B (Let it burn) Burn baby Burn…

…So, basically whether you realize it or not, when you are advocating for the L.I.B (Let it burn) you are advocating for the Cloward-Pivens Strategy. The tragic part isn’t that in advocating for L.I.B you are in fact advocating for the Cloward-Pivens Strategy, the tragic part isn’t even that you have been duped into doing exactly what the Marxist’s want you to do. The real tragedy is that most of you haven’t really grasped what Let It burn really means. It means a complete and total collapse of the American economy. It means people literally shooting and killing their friends and neighbors for things like food and gasoline. It means a complete abandonment of the United States Constitution. It means the construction of William “Bill” Ayer’s extermination camps for the 25 million Americans who refuse to accept the new Marxist government.

Let it burn is exactly what the Marxist elite in both parties are trying to accomplish. It is the only way they can ensure the level of lawlessness and civil unrest required to suspend the United States Constitution and replace it with a “Temporary Emergency Powers Act”. Let it burn means a violent bloody civil war which the political elite have been preparing for for decades. You really think that the department of Homeland Defense need 5.1 BILLION rounds of hollow point ammunition to defend American Borders that they refuse to defend?

Do you honestly think for one picosecond that America’s Police forces and other Law Enforcement Agencies will not act to enforce whatever laws are passed by congress? Including a full suspension of the United States Constitution? Are you honestly stupid enough to think that the United States Military will refuse to follow the orders of the President of the United States of America and fire on “Revolting” American citizens? Is there one single person on earth insane enough to think that the President of the United States or congress will allow one single state to secede without a single shot being fired or blood being spilled?

Yes, that is right, Let it burn means, no gasoline, no food, no electricity or heating oil, no consumer goods, no medical supplies or treatments. It means violent lawless civil unrest and inevitably full on Martial law or bloody and violent civil war. It is 100 percent exactly what the political elites are planning for, it is the means by which they achieve their end goal, and that end goal is to dissolve the United states Constitution and replace it with a Marxist Constitution.   LINK

I have personally noted a significant uptick in violence-themed posts from “new” readers on this and other blogs, indicated, at least on some level, a concerted effort to both attack conservatives who remain hopeful the challenges of today can still be met, and push others into giving up the current system and, as the acronym L.I.B. suggests – simply “Let It Burn” – a scenario that does appear to fit quite nicely into the plans of such leftist radicals as Cloward-Piven.

    • I sympathize to some degree with the L.I.B. crowd. It’s difficult not to reach the point where you want these people to get exactly what they’re asking for so that they can see the horrors that their leftist panacea brings.

In a perfect world we could then step back, say “I told you so” and the country gets headed back onto the proper, constitutional track.

The reality of course, is that we can’t go back once we’ve reached that point.

Besides, even if the entire country was burning down (literally and figuratively), half the people in this country would look you straight in the eye and tell you everything is wonderful.

We can’t let our country burn just to teach stupid people a lesson. We can’t ever succumb to anger or pessimism. As angry as we might be, we need to remind ourselves that we love the Old Girl more than we hate the people who want to destroy Her.

Yes and if they can’t accomplish the above with their strategy they will simply let the dollar collapse and the same thing happens(dollar cannot be saved). What this post fails to understand is that the above scenario is going to happen unless we surrender and let them implement world socialism or communism in small doses. We cannot escape the inevitable evil that is upon us and which we all let crawl upon us, now we shall suffer dearly and we will have to chose to fight or surrender. People need to start accepting this reality and quit trying to run from it, thinking things are able to be “saved” in any form at this point. They want us to surrender because they have more control if we surrender, if we make the choice to fight they have less control and the outcome is not certain for them.

Wake up, accept reality, and prepare your mind for what is coming.

    • I can see the attraction to the L.I.B. crowd.

      But it is wrong.

The name is THE UNITED States of America
      United we stand.
      Divided we fall.

What this is, is the hope of leftist to REMOVE those people that challenge them. They believe that the Military will stand with them so they will win.

Right up there with Unicorn Farts.

Why America, and most of the world is failing is because of one thing.
      Greed.

We have a large contingent of people who have worked hard for many years and do not feel like they have moved forward at all.
We have a whole lot of rich people who want to keep their wealth and influence over everybody else.
(Notice how they tell everybody else to share the wealth but they do not?)

So we come back to the main topic.
Give me vs. leave me alone.

And if they can not get their way, like kids in a sand box, will tear and destroy it all.
And as long as the government furthers it’s agenda of redistribution to water down the people’s wealth and putting in the controls for the sheep, the ELITE get to stay in positions of power and influence.

Did you know that it would that now around 600 years to pay back the debt?

This is Russia 1917 mentality of the people.

But the schools and the media have dumbed 50% of the people to even disregard logic that it has started a civil war already.
Now they are screaming for the pitchforks and the torches.

And one has to defend themselves.

This is the most critical time in America’s and THE WORLD’s history.

Romney, even with all his failings and such, was the right man for the right time. It was his values as a person that was most important that America needed. His charity. His humbleness. His understanding of Economics as a means of strength. His unquestionable friendship with those like minded. And his compassion for the people of this nation.
      He is no Reagan.

But we do not need a Reagan.
      We needed a Mitt.

We are a divided people, and mob rules.
Taking the high road will simply get you beaten up.

And the world is amassed against Liberty.

      What can be done?
That is the unanswered question now.

    • I totally agree that people need to STFU about all this let it burn crap. Too many co called conservatives talking big but have no idea what they are saying. Things are bad right now. Obama sucks. But things could be a whole lot worse. Americans have had it so easy for so long they don’t most of them anyway, don’t know what real challenge is all about. So I like the take on this article. Pretty much sums up what I think about all this. Dumb conservatives are being played. Riled up and divided. Yup.

And how about that little bit of news lately about Boehner purging Consvs. from powerful committees? How much more evidence do you need about the GOP folks?????? Excerpts

“House Speaker John Boehner and GOP leadership have removed several conservative House members from their respective powerful committee positions, Breitbart News has learned.

Effective next Congress, leadership pulled Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash and Arizona Republican Rep. David Schweikert off committees from which they could exert conservative pressure on fiscal matters. Amash and Huelskamp were pulled from the Budget Committee and Schweikert from the Financial Services Committee.

Huelskamp, a freshman elected during the 2010 tea party wave, thinks the leadership move to pull him from the powerful committee is revenge for him standing up for conservatism. “It is little wonder why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating: Americans send principled representatives to change Washington and get punished in return,” Huelskamp said in a Monday night statement. “The GOP leadership might think they have silenced conservatives, but removing me and others from key committees only confirms our conservative convictions. This is clearly a vindictive move, and a sure sign that the GOP Establishment cannot handle disagreement.”

      http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/12/03/Boehner-GOP-leaders-purge-conservatives-from-powerful-House-committees

My note — it’s not only “cannot handle disagrreement” – it goes further to their extreme positions of hate/contempt/power & greed/threats – that they will go to any corrupt lengths to keep Consvs., proConstitutionalsists from winning elections or holding authoritative positions. COUNT ON IT !!!!!!

    • This could be psyops just trying to quell us into not revolting. I don’t think the left really wants us to revolt because many of them will get killed in the process. The right is the ones with the guns. They want to just control us in an orderly manner. And who knows until the SHTF where the military will stand in all this? They are our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, daughters, sons and friends and neighbors. When it really gets down to it are they REALLY going to attack their fellow americans? Time will tell… Will they side with Obama the usurper or with fellow Americans? The military HATES Obama. Keep that in mind.

      • Agree.

But the longer there is no revolt, the stronger these f-cks get and the weaker the military gets…remember sequestration?…or the five Generals and the four Admirals removed or demoted?

    • See lots of big talking internet nerds about let it burn and we got guns. Yeah right. Lets see how big you talk when the Nat guard rolls into town. And don’t think that couldn’t happen. If we want to take the country back we stop bitching and start working on it. Get smarter. Vote smarter. I am all in on the 2014 because I am reading things that say that is all this fiscal cliff deal is about. Setting up the dems to take it all back in 2014. I read today about how they are already getting Hillary ready for 2016. I am starting to think she will be the final nail in the coffin of America. Not Obama. He was put here to set her up. All this let it burn stuff is just pussy talk from the peanut gallery IMO.

    • It is still, in theory, a free country. So I will state my OPINION (not threats!).

I do not believe in “Let it Burn”.

I do believe we have reached and far surpassed the point where our founding fathers would ask why we’re not mounting an armed offensive to get our nation back.

It seems to me that any level of organizing that attempts less than that is a futile unwillingness to recognize the current reality.

We can campaign and strategize all we want, but anything less than armed resistance at this point is a waste of time…and everyone here knows this in his or her heart. But no one wants to admit it.

    • If you follow UM’s link and read the entire blog post from which he excerpts some paragraphs, you’ll likely — like me — find the overall “argument” being made here unconvincing.

I’d already posted the following reply at that site:

While I enjoy and agree with many of your comments at HotAir (from which I found this post) and laud your attempted effort here, it fails to persuade.

First, you correctly identify three socio-political movements with links to — but not necessarily exclusive to — Marxist underpinnings (gay rights/same-sex marriage, amnesty for illegal aliens, and pro-abortion); however, you then go on to state that they’re among numerous “… ideas that most so called conservatives believe are conservative ideas …” That’s just flat-out not true on its face. Sure, there are RINO (i.e. non-conservative) “leaders” who subscribe to some or all of these ideas — but the vast majority of conservatives? It’s a demonstrably self-contradicting false premise.

As regards the Cloward-Piven strategy (and I followed the link to the Wikipedia article), you mistakenly claim that its ultimate desired ends are “… violent lawless civil unrest and inevitably full on Martial law or bloody and violent civil war.” and “… to dissolve the United states Constitution and replace it with a Marxist Constitution.” In contrast, its actual stated end is overloading the U.S. public welfare system in order to precipitate a crisis that would lead to a replacement of the welfare system with a national system of “a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty.” While indeed a more Marxist outcome is desired, the means (crisis or crises) and actual outcome of your conclusion, again, are unfounded.

Finally, the preceding non sequiturs invalidate your primary hypothesis that those advocating for the L.I.B. (Let It Burn) strategy are advocating for a Marxist/Cloward-Piven strategy. Yes, you are correct that it could mean a complete and total collapse of the American economy. This doesn’t necessarily mean, although historically the odds are good that it will result in, a descent into bloody civil war; there will be opportunities for a peaceful revolution if a courageous (willing to lose everything including his/her life) spiritual (not political) leader emerges, a la MLK, Jr. or Gandhi, who holds sway over the vast majority of Americans.

Assuming the worst, when you ask “Are you honestly stupid enough to think that the United States Military will refuse to follow the orders of the President of the United States of America and fire on ‘Revolting’ American citizens?” — I answer YES. The military (those presently serving and, perhaps more importantly, those veterans who’ve already served) are in my experience (1) the most patriotic of all American citizens and (2) take their oaths to heart/seriously (unlike most of our so-called “leaders”).

What will actually cause and sustain, and likely win a civil war for the liberty forces over the tyranny forces, will be a splitting of the military into two camps: those who refuse to obey illegal orders (in which case, a “good” general will emerge as the leader of the resistance) and those who do, respectively. Among the former camp will be most of the gun-owning citizens of America (which is actually why I personally believe that the most likely trigger for a civil war will be a Presidential order to the military to go door-to-door and confiscate Americans’ firearms). Although there is the risk of losing America forever in the “Let It Burn” sentiment/strategy: (1) it is in fact the opposite of Marxism and a Marxist end that motivates it; and (2) there is the likelihood that it’s the last opportunity we’ll have to save and restore America to its founding principles … to live free or die trying.

    • E.A.B.
    • Well, I have a confession to make…

I’m torn between two opposite views. I’ve been hiding this for a while now. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I think America’s situation is hopeless. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, I think we can still take it back if we keep our Republican party and conservative movement in order. On Sundays, I just pray.

      Today is a Monday.

Rasmussen has a poll out showing the Democrats leading the Republicans on the generic Congressional ballot by 11 points. That’s a Democrats take back the House in 2014, back to total one-party Democrat control under Obama, scenario. They have another poll showing Democrats trusted more than Republicans on 9 out of 10 key issues; Republicans lead by only 2 points on the remaining issue. And then they’re showing Obama with 56% approval; Gallup has him with 53%–that’s the highest in I don’t even remember how long.

The pendulum is swinging back to the left. The media propaganda machine is finally reaping real rewards. Radical socialists will soon be running all three branches of government. The deviations they implement will be irreversible.

The Republican Party is doomed to permanent minority party status. A conservative Third Party will be no better. It’s not just the GOP that’s dead.

      Conservatism is dead.

2012 was our last chance to save America. And it was stolen from us. From those of us who bothered to vote, or didn’t waste our vote, anyway. We didn’t take back the White House, or the Senate.

2012 was it. We won’t get another chance in 2014 or 2016 or 2018.

Oh, there will still be elections–I’m no conspiracy theorist. The elections will be stolen. Oh, and the people will still have their say. They will say whatever the media propaganda machine tells them to say.

The fix is in. The election fraud has become insurmountable. The propaganda has become ubiquitous.

We will no longer be able to save this country by lawful means. (For the record, this is not a call for violence or other unlawful acts.)

America is done. The question is not whether or not America falls, but merely how long it will take.

We conservatives can stretch out this fall, maybe for decades. We can keep the patient on meager life support, and watch her slowly die in agony. Or we can let the socialist Democrats wreak all the havoc they want and put us out of our misery early.

Then America will have a chance to rebuild from the ashes, a new old America, America the way it used to be, the way it was intended to be. And maybe, if we allow the collapse to happen with all haste, the rebuilding may happen within our lifetimes.

The sooner we let them pull the plug, the sooner we can find new love and start over.

On Tuesday the white knuckled political fight will be back. But for Monday, that’s my requiem for America.

UM has been good enough to let many different views be expressed in the comments on his site. I hope he will permit this fatalistic vent, just this once.

        3. There are weeds. Some people grow them. And smoke them. We are against this on moral grounds. They should be using alcohol.
        4. And a whole other list of things…..

      1. While it is part of the duality to ‘Let It Burn (LIB), the other half is; it exposes useful idiots to their blind idealism painting a dystopian society as utopian.
      2. Conservative Leaning isn’t necessarily conservative, and the reset has already begun in a variety of ways.

“It means a complete and total collapse of the American economy.”

With Debt of GDP at 204% of GDP, BRIC and ASEAN being led by Russia and China dropping the US Dollar in denominated trade including Germany and Saudi Arabia, and the Federal Reserve monetizing all long-term US Treasury Bonds and expanding its balance sheet catastrophically. The US Economy is dead in the water; the only thing it can do is repudiate over 100% of its monetized Treasuries and rapidly expand its gold and silver reserves, which won’t happen before the US Dollar surpluses around the world flood back into the system resulting in catastrophic hyperinflation. The reign of the Dollar and the US economy is effectively over, and this isn’t even accounting for 30 years of globalization accelerating developing countries infrastructures and military modernization at the detriment of the West and US in particular.

“Let it burn means a violent bloody civil war which the political elite have been preparing for for decades.”

No, this isn’t accurate at all…
      1. Civil War can only come about by States exerting their right to actually make the actions necessary to conduct secession. Otherwise, there is no civil war.
      2. The tensions are more Revolutionary indicators along ideological political, racial, and economic class warfare grounds.

“Yes, that is right, Let it burn means, no gasoline, no food, no electricity or heating oil, no consumer goods, no medical supplies or treatments. It means violent lawless civil unrest and inevitably full on Martial law…”

      Martial Law is coming regardless.

“It is 100 percent exactly what the political elites are planning for, it is the means by which they achieve their end goal, and that end goal is to dissolve the United states Constitution and replace it with a Marxist Constitution.”

No, it merely takes 2 Supreme Court Justices and a Constitutional Convention.

      1. The author was mainly discussing the group of conservatives or conservative leaning people who are advocating LIB.
      2. Yet, you failed utterly to demonstrate it, and there’s truly are roughly 6-7 Constitutives, Constitutionalists, and/or Libertarians left in the Federal government while one is preparing to retire in January.
      3. The school system is designed to be pro-Democrat, Progressive, Marxist, Welfare, and etc while also demonstrably anti-Republican such as Lincoln is shed of being a Republican-Whig for a Whig, FDR’s association to the Republicans are dropped for being a Democrat, and numerous other examples. Then, teachers are incredibly trumpeted as a necessity for standards, which includes encroachment into private and religious schools.
      4. The author wasn’t just talking about the RHINO majority or ‘Neo-Con’ Republican majority in office who mainly use Conservative, Constitutional, and Libertarian ideals when they seek a supportive justification against the Democrats and then turn around and conduct economic suicide.

“As regards the Cloward-Piven strategy (and I followed the link to the Wikipedia article), you mistakenly claim that its ultimate desired ends are “… violent lawless civil unrest and inevitably full on Martial law or bloody and violent civil war.” and “… to dissolve the United states Constitution and replace it with a Marxist Constitution.” In contrast, its actual stated end is overloading the U.S. public welfare system in order to precipitate a crisis that would lead to a replacement of the welfare system with a national system of “a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty.” While indeed a more Marxist outcome is desired, the means (crisis or crises) and actual outcome of your conclusion, again, are unfounded.”

Your research should be broadened and rapidly. Based on this, I am forced to believe that you’re not aware of these items:
      1. Cloward-Piven is the Ideological economic politics used at the supranational level predominantly used to force a nation under its whim through a 4 staged strategy used to increase its debt to non-payable levels. The nation is then denies funds to meet its obligations that result in welfare cuts, which often balloons, and the populace enters what is termed the IMF Riot designed to dually topple the form of governance and/or leadership while forcing it under the IMF’s and World Bank’s whims. Sound familiar? Does Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, and Spain aka PIIGS ring any bells in recent memory?
How did this come about? By increasing its debt of GDP ratios beyond any ability to pay enabling its systems to bloat to the point of utter collapse forcing it to seek bailouts enabling Big Unions to convince its workers to strike and force the nation into a desired outcome, which in Europe’s case a United States of Europe for much of Africa dually the African Union and great limitation of population growth.
      2. You see Obama won by telling impoverished and welfare beneficiaries their benefits would be removed and helped get them to the polls. You also see Cloward-Piven strategy is based on increasing the nation’s debt of GDP ratios through using borrowed/monetized. It essentially is the agreement of Wiemar that resulted in Germany’s hyperinflation enabling one Adolf Hitler, a national socialist who advocated a merging partnership with Corporations opposed to Stalins approach with limited Industries partnerships and focused on Big Unions.
      3. Why is Welfare and other ‘entitlements’ on the table? It will panic the thanksgiving turkey’s who until it can’t be funded at all will be slaughtered by the farmer aka federal, state, or local government. Guess what they’ll do? They’ll pursue the IMF Riot because it’s also taught in the curriculum, and the government can false-flag it or incite violence and declare martial law aka IMF Riot. It’s been tried for over 30 years, and it’s quite successful; Gerard, Hoffa, and others will then call upon more Federal power and perhaps a more solid public-private partnership merger heralding full-fledged national socialism.

Hopefully, you expand your research here…
