The AP reports that the State Department’s security chief and two others have resigned in the wake of a harsh report on the fatal attack on a U.S. diplomatic post in Libya on Sept. 11.
The official said Eric Boswell, the assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, and Charlene Lamb, the deputy assistant secretary responsible for embassy security, stepped down under pressure after the release of the report. The third official worked for the Bureau of Near East Affairs, but wasn’t immediately identified, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss personnel matters publicly.
The independent investigation faulted systemic failures of leadership and management deficiencies at senior levels within two bureaus of the State Department. The review found that “grossly” inadequate security and reliance on local militias left U.S. diplomats and other personnel in Benghazi, Libya, vulnerable. LINK

So as Democrats in the Senate work to insulate Hillary Clinton from further damage over the Benghazi scandal, many questions remain unanswered pertaining to exactly what slain Ambassador Christopher Stevens was actually doing in Benghazi on that day. There has yet to be any official disclosure from American sources regarding cause of death for Stevens or the other three killed during the terrorist attack. Was Barack Obama inside the Situation Room during the attack? If not, why not? And who then was? Who gave the stand down order thus allowing Stevens and the other Americans to be killed?
The Democrats are hoping the career sacrifice of these three now resigning members of the Obama State Department will be enough to further remove the issue of Benghazi from the attention of Republicans and others, similar to what they did with the Fast and Furious scandal.
Sadly, it might very well work…

No question now of a very resistant coverup. Something vile happened in Benghazi beyond what we already know. Something vile enough to cause this Hag/Vulture to run to avoid a contempt of Congress charge. Her choice is to tell the truth and appall the nation at someone’s expense, or to lie before Congress with the knowledge that the facts will eventually be uncovered.
