Perhaps sensing the Republican Party has no real will for a political fight, Barack Obama is openly demanding yet more taxes on the American people while appearing equally unwilling to reduce the size of government.

Obama digs in as debt ceiling fight looms
Fresh off this week’s last-minute “fiscal cliff” deal, President Obama on Saturday dug in as the prospect of another budget clash with congressional Republicans loomed, warning that he will not negotiate over raising the nation’s debt limit.
…Obama’s stance puts him squarely at odds once again with newly reelected House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio), who told a closed-door meeting of Republican lawmakers Friday that he will insist on a dollar-per-dollar match between spending reductions and continued borrowing. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has expressed a similar sentiments. LINK
It is clear Barack Obama WANTS another fiscal showdown with Republican in Congress – and why wouldn’t he? The media then blasts Republicans as uncooperative, the Republican leadership worries over being made to blame for the crisis, and predictably caves in at the 11th hour. The Obama White House has utilized this strategy to great effective repeatedly and until Republicans actually stand on principle and say NO MORE, there is no reason for Barack Obama to do anything differently.
As to this most recent manufactured crisis, it continues to amaze that a president is allowed to repeat the phrase of the wealthy “paying their fair share” when facts prove that about half of all Americans pay NO federal income tax. None. So all of those government services that Obama and his fellow socialist Democrats are so proud to say make America great are being paid for and maintained by a few for the benefit of the many. This formula is unsustainable. For the last two years, due to Barack Obama raiding the Social Security fund, the U.S. government paid out MORE in Social Security benefits than it took in – the first time in history that has happened. Again – such a forumula is simply unsustainable.
Will newly re-elected House Speaker John Boehner make good on his promise to fiscal conservatives that he will finally fight and fight hard against Barack Obama’s economic insanity?
We shall see…
