That story, and now others like it, are spreading quickly via the Internet – as well it should. The ramifications of what the Obama administration is laying out against American citizens should give even the most ardent supporters of Barack Obama pause. And yet, based on how many times this president has been allowed to be removed from any real responsibility for the actions of his administration, I am left wondering if even this story will not register with the majority of Americans.

Thousands of drone strikes have been initiated by the Obama White House via his now infamous “Kill List” where it is said, the president personally reviews the names and related information of those who wants assassinated via a drone attack. While that scenario alone should be enough to create outrage among the Mainstream Media and Barack Obama’s liberal/progressive supporters, the actual scenario is much-much worse. What yesterday’s story outlines is an administration that has given itself the authority to bomb American citizens both at home and abroad, based solely on a belief (and how easily would it be to manufacture such “belief”?) who are linked to a terrorist organization. The definition of what constitutes a terrorist organization remains vague, as does the evidence linking any individual to said organization.
Again – that scenario should place fear in anyone with any understanding of traditional civil liberties in the United States. And, the Obama drone kill program takes it even further than that – MUCH FURTHER. Here is the line from the report that shocked even me – and I have spent considerable time and effort outlining the most frightening aspects of the Obama White House for a number of years now:
A confidential Justice Department memo concludes that the U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be “senior operational leaders” of al-Qaida or “an associated force” — even if there is no intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.
Please read that last line again. And again. And again. Barack Obama and his Eric Holder-led Department of Justice (the same Eric Holder who oversaw thousands of illegal weapons being handed over to known criminals that were then used to murder hundreds of innocent Mexican civilians as well as American law enforcement) have outlined the authority for the Obama White House to kill an American citizen under the guise of that citizen being labeled a member of a terrorist organization – or as they put it – “an associated force”. That citizen’s life can be taken even if our own intelligence sources indicate there is no present danger being posed against the United States.
It is, quite plainly, the means to carry out the murder of Americans with no obligation to the long-standing freedoms and liberties normally associated with citizenship. It is the very thing the foundation of this nation was built upon when FIGHTING AGAINST such tyranny -and now Barack Obama and his administration are breaking apart that foundation and replacing it with a deadly counterpart made in his own globalist image.
Now again, I know there will be those who will shake their heads when reading such a description, and attempt to dismiss it as reactionary and the rant of someone openly critical of the policies of the Obama White House. Fine – but before simply dismissing what is being said here now, I ask you again to go back and read that line outlining the parameters for how the Obama administration has the authority to kill an American citizen without due process – no judge, no jury:
“…even if there is no intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.”
I would then urge you to once again read an update from a longtime political operative who it now becomes increasingly clear just how much they knew then of the Obama administration’s obsession with drone technology. The information given then, when held up against yesterday’s breaking news, provides yet more proof of the validity of the WHI’s information. Frankly, I wish they were not so accurate, as the picture they paint of a man elected not once but twice to be the President of the United States, says as much about the plight of the American voter as it does about Barack Obama.

As Communism Collapses Around the World…Some in Chicago Embrace it

Foreign analysts and correspondents have had a field day of late pounding nails into the coffin of communism, but in the hearts of Communists such as Marshall, they have it all wrong.
“In the history of science-and that`s what we consider Marxism-Leninism to be-there have been totally earth-shattering theories that have been rejected by the establishment only to be proven years later to have been perfectly correct,“ says Marshall, a 40-year-old former steelworker.
“I think the people who are jumping on the bandwagon, saying this is a dead ideology, are not getting into too much depth.“
Seventy-one years after its formation in Chicago, the Communist Party in this country is still waiting to be discovered in the soda shop of ideas, its red sweater frumpy and tattered.

To be a Communist in 1990 requires patience.
“You have to have a long view,“ says Marshall with a chuckle from behind a desk in his South Shore office. “You have to have confidence in what you believe in.“
To be a Communist in 1990 requires the rejection of mainstream media reporting, such as the proclivity of correspondents to depict recent events in Eastern Europe and Nicaragua as major socialist setbacks.
“No basic important changes take place on a very smooth surface,“
Marshall says, a cup of coffee from McDonald`s in front of him, the furnace hissing beside him. “In the long run, I think it`ll strengthen those parties, because now they`re going to have to fight to become the leading force by virtue of their ideas.“
To be a Communist in 1990 requires a tolerance for some capitalistic I-told-you-so`s.
“One of the guys in the real estate company downstairs comes up every once in a while,“ Marshall says. “I remember when the wall was torn down in Berlin. He said, `Well, a bad day for you guys, huh?` “
On the bright side of all the upheaval in the socialist world is that it makes Communists themselves seem a little less scary than in the days of Red- baiting. “The move towards democratization in a lot of the socialist countries is making us much less a bugabear to people,“ Marshall says. “And that`s why I think we`re growing.“
He declines, however, to release specific membership figures, revealing only that the state party has “a couple thousand“ members. “People aren`t joining by the hundreds, but they are joining by the fives and sixes,“ he says.
State membership is concentrated in the city. “To me, party people are honest people of integrity,“ says Evangeline Swan, 63, a retired public school teacher and party volunteer who believes Communists are on the side of African-Americans such as herself. “Party people are sincerely interested in building a beautiful society, a humane society and a just society for working- class people and their families.“
But there still remains a certain stigma. Swan, for instance, balks at the question of whether she is a party member.
“I`m a volunteer, that`s all I`m saying to you,“ she says. “I know that you are a puppet, a newspaper man. I`d tell you, `None of your damn business.` We know how the government structure works here. We know that the FBI and CIA are out there.“
Marshall freely acknowledges that his wife, Roberta, is a member of the party, but he doesn`t want her last name used. “Because of her job, I`d just as soon you call her Roberta Marshall,“ he says.

As Marshall describes the issues on the agenda of the Communist Party of Illinois, he hardly sounds like a revolutionary. Health care. High electric rates. Civil rights. The environment. Arms control.
He supports the working class. He denounces flag burning.
If passion translated into votes, the Communists of this country might control the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House and the White House. Instead, Marshall and fellow Communists have set their sights on smaller victories. Mark Almberg, organization secretary in Illinois, received only 1,937 votes, 1.34 percent of all ballots cast, when he took on U.S. Rep. Dan Rostenkowski two years ago, but Marshall recently won election to the local elementary school council.
Marshall advocates “winning the battles that we can, and at the same time helping people draw the conclusion that reform is not enough, that it requires revolutionary change.“
Make no mistake about it, the Communist Party would prefer a U.S.A. where “Revolution“ is something more than an old song recycled to sell sneakers. “Our No. 1 goal, our overriding goal, is to change the system from capitalism to socialism,“ Marshall says.
He speaks almost fondly of the Depression, when capitalism lost its aura of invincibility and impoverished Americans were open to alternatives from the Left. Communism in America is waiting for its next big opportunity.
“I think `90 will be a very good year for us for bad reasons, not reasons that I would wish to promote,“ Marshall says. “But I think the economy is heading for some serious disruption-that`s our collective party estimate. You look at the international debt situation, you look at the whole savings and loan scandal. . . . “
Malcolm Forbes ain`t comin` back, but who knows? That statue of Lenin might not stay in mothballs forever.
