Last night during his State of the Union Address, President Obama gave considerable attention to what is called the “Paycheck Fairness Act” – a silly little bill that has sat idle in Congress for months due in great part to its inherent stupidity. Barack Obama embraced that stupidity. What else is new?

The president made his call for support of the PFA as a means to yet, once again, play one segment of the population against the other – in this case those evil men who Barack Obama claims are making more money than women. The claim, as is so often the case with this administration, uses partial facts to make an incomplete argument and then sell it to an all too gullible public. What Barack Obama neglected to mention is that there have already been not one, but TWO laws that already prohibit pay bias based on race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. – the Equal Pay Act, and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
So what really is this Paycheck Fairness Act really all about? The tried and true rule to always be applied Barack Obama when his proposing something is to ask if that something increases the power of government. In this case the answer is, once again, an absolute YES.
Here is how the Society for Human Resource Management describes the act:
“ It would effectively prohibit employers from using many legitimate factors to compensate their employees, including professional experience, education, training, employer need, local labor market rates, hazard pay, shift differentials and the profitability of the organization.”
In somewhat simpler terms, what that description is saying is that Barack Obama wants to eliminate the free market system as part of the job market. No more will employers have the ability to hire and compensate individuals who work hard, work better, and work more productively than their counterparts. EVERYONE SHALL BE TREATED THE SAME.
It is a basic tenet utilized by the former Soviet Union – a communist economy where production fell and an economy collapsed due in great part to so little incentive for anyone to actually work hard at anything. In Obama’s world, everyone should be treated the same – and LIMITED the same. Hard work should not mean you earn more than someone else because in the twisted little community organizer mind of the current president, why…that’s just not fair.
Oh – and one other odd little mention by the president last night that is related to his ludicrous and dangerous Paycheck Fairness Act proposal. Barack Obama lamented that so many working Americans continued to struggle paying their bills – that the Middle Class should not have to suffer like this. What remedy did Barack Obama offer up as a solution to a struggling Middle Class?
HE DEMANDED WE RAISE THE MIMINUM WAGE.
Now think about that…if one follows the insane logic of this president, what he actually said is that a minimum wage job in Obama’s America should place you, economically IN THE MIDDLE CLASS. So, why then would someone want to work hard, get good grades, and apply for college when, according to Barack Obama, you can simply accept a minimum wage job at the local fast food joint, and be earning a middle class wage?
That level of economic stupidity and madness still manages to astound me even after four years of Barack Obama in the White House. What is far more disappointing though are the millions of Americans who smile and nod at his words – and allow him to continue getting away with it.
Obama doesn’t worry about paying women less… he doesn’t hire them in the first place. Even N.O.W. let him have it for the lack of female presence on his cabinet (esp. with Hillary leaving), but Republicans are the party of rich white guys.

This is totally incorrect. In order to counter “Obama” and those that pull his strings, it’s necessary to know who they are and what their goals are. They are not doctrinaire liberals. Unlike many on the Left who do really believe in the Progressive ideology, the Obama crowd are Alinskyite. Meaning they only champion the notions of equality, minority, gay and women’s Rights. Obama’s crowd only nurture these grievances and use the aggrieved to achieve dominance, destruction and total control.
They don’t espouse Progressive tenets and enact Progressive programs because they believe Progressivism will perfect our nation and civilization, but because they see this as the tool for it’s destruction.
Many among those who consider themselves on the Left hold to Progressive thought because they actually believe that this is the way to achieve a more just society. They have know idea how they are being used until it’s too late- Useful Idiots. They can be won over little by little if the case is made to them- I spend much of my time doing this and have actually had an impact on many people around me by doing the hard work of presenting the case to them.
Unfortunately, people like me are undercut by a GOP and a Conservative movement that has decided the way to win them over is to be more like them.
Let me amend that. I might have misread Ulsterman’s piece. I don’t think I need to be lecturing Ulsterman about the nature of the obama. My comments were directed to so many on the Right who can’t see, or refuse to accept what the obama and those who installed him are really about.
Communist goal includes destroying the middle class, so they do stupid shit like this to confuse people. They’ll drag the middle class down to the lowest class level where they need them to be so they can dominate & control.

You forgot one UM, the “Lilly Ledbetter Act” of 2009… Talk about abuse of power and legal thuggery! Who needs Leo Gerard anyway when I can kill the American economy with trumped up charges of inequity?
But, then of course, if you follow any of the enforcement activities of the executive branch, there’s always their abuse of EO 11246 (Affirmative Action) again before the USSC… oh wait, who needs the USSC, just talk to the many thousands of small businesses being subjected to increased audits and scrutiny in the new compensation scheme of $2000 or 2% difference in pay they find… that was brought before the Congress and discussed heavily last fall. EVEN though, according to the all best statistics, there’s been no evidence to support this feigned abuse of American workers. But that’s ok, according to DOL Secretary, “We know prejeduce is out there and we believe CEOs are cooking the books to hide these atrocities.”
When Obama lost paycheck fairness in 2009/10, he vowed to use his executive powers… and what do ya know… he is. Just look at the strategic goals of the Department of Labor… which of course spills over to enforcement at the Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs who are sent out like rabid dogs to attack.
