Media Attempts To Paint Republicans As Imploding – DON’T BUY IT (R.I. Related)

RNC Chair Reince Priebus released a lengthy and interesting “post-mortem” of the GOP following its defeat during the 2012 presidential election.  This was soon followed by a liberal media hoping to cast Republicans as both deeply divided and dysfunction.  NOT SO.  What is happening is the very thing Republican Insider indicated months ago that the party needed to do – and from this self examination is emerging among best and brightest batch of conservative leaders this country has seen in quite some time.  Mark my words  reader – DEMOCRATS ARE AFRAID.

(Democrats are fearful a powerful conservative resurgence is now building in America.  They should be – IT IS.)

____________________________

Look back at the most recent few months and what do we see but voices such as Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Dr. Benjamin Carson, and others, pushing aside the Old Guard Republicans and assuming the mantel of new leaders, both in spirit and in action, of the Republican Party.  Watch as the Mainstream Media is now scrambling to reboot the message to the public yet again, though going back to the tried and true 2012 subject of “marriage  equality”.  See Hillary Clinton’s own “transformation” on this subject this week.  And look then at how media pundits are repeating over and over again how Republicans are now “out of the mainstream” on this issue.

Here’s the truth though – many conservatives could care less regarding the “marriage equality” issue.  For Rand Paul it is a matter of personal choice and at most, the realm of state government decision.  Others, such as Marco Rubio, while holding to his own personal religious views on the subject, makes a point that those views are not to be forced upon others.  Even Ted Cruz, among the most “traditional values” members of the Senate, falls on the side of the issue being one left to local communities and the states, while also having a long record of opposing hate groups.  (You won’t hear mention of THAT in the Mainstream Media now will you?)

So let the media attempt to spin the story of Republican dysfunction.  IT WON’T WORK.  The “marriage equality” issue is much like the “war on women” issue and the “war on minorities” issue, and the “war on the poor” issue, and the “war on the environment” issue…etc.  These new Republicans aren’t going to be played so easily anymore – and more and more conservatives are now getting wise to the Mainstream Media fabricated “wars” theme as well.  Conservatism is once again on the move.  The reason why is that after the initial shock and disappointment, conservatives have picked themselves back up, dusted themselves off, and are set to rejoin the fight to save the future of America – and the national voices who are helping in that fight are younger, more dynamic, and just plain TOUGHER than most Republicans we have seen for well over a decade.

I certainly see Republican Insider’s hand all over the GOP re-boot that is currently going on.  That is a good thing.  A necessary process.  It may have been a long time coming, but I’m starting to see the forest through the trees.

Now it is on to the 2014 Midterm Elections.  Defend the House, and pick up more seats in the Senate.

From there…we take back the White House.

      • Don’t forget Rubio and Cruz who also support amnesty. So if the “Big Three” (Paul, Rubio and Cruz) are all on board to help create a permanent Democratic majority, what exactly, are you and R.I. “celebrating,” Ulsterman? I say the Repugnicans are committing political suicide, much as the country as a whole committed national suicide when it put Obama in office.

    • I love Rand Paul. He wants the border secured first. After that move the stupid immigration subject off the table. And I love Ted Cruz. Did you hear what he said about lizards. LOL!!! They make good boots!!!! :)

      “Mac Fan Club” 2013 :)

    • You know what this is? This is a soft sell and implementation of the North American Union (NAU) which has been planned all along, which explains why the immigration laws already on the books are not enforced, and why the government sues states who attempt to enforce the immigration laws. We are being invaded with the blessings of the government.

If you illegally cross the border into Mexico you are subject to 2 years in jail, and if you re-enter Mexico after being deported, you will get 10 years in jail.

Thanks for the filibuster. It is all clear now, get name recognition and then BAM!! a new plan that does not benefit the American people.

    • I have to say, some of the things I see the party doing concerns me… I really dislike the identity politics and the “autopsy” put out yesterday is a perfect example why. I hear what everyone is saying, and my answer to the question of how to reach minority groups has not changed… in fact, my position has only more hardened. Rubio said it himself… “we don’t need a new idea, we have one that works, AMERICA!” That’s supported by Ben Carson as well when he said he didn’t support identity politics (my words) because he was a neurosurgeon. Yet the rhetoric continues despite these insightful comments. Why?
I said it yesterday when I posted to the Gov. Walker post… the emotionally charged position of an “inclusive” need within the party is a go nowhere proposition… it’s pure identity politics and an tried and true tactic of the left to change the narrative. In fact, they’ve already started with their suddenly evolved position on gay marriage.
One thing I would like to point out though… The Libertarian wing of the party is made up of mostly kids between 18 and 25. Doesn’t anyone remember when they were this age? It is NORMAL to feel utilitarian and the obvious need of the left to enter into fairness, justice, and quite honestly the story of inclusion is a diversity proposition designed to get our kids to question their support for the GOP. Yes folks, they’re well aware that they are losing this important demographic. What we are seeing is the left leveraging a generational gap, one as old as time, at play.
While they shout for a more “inclusive” message from the party, they forget one key factor… those of us that don’t fit their ideal demographic and that concerns me. The more we self-segregate and divide ourselves the more we allow politicians to usurp our power over government, allowing it to become tyrannical. That is the message we need to be singing from the mountain tops, not a segregating message that fakes inclusion.
My fear is that the party has allowed a purely emotionally charged position of the left to infiltrate reason. When you start talking about image, perception, etc. of inclusion, you leave out the real message of a reasoned response to affect inclusion.
For the record, we don’t need a changed message (what they are really saying is image), what we need is a clear, concise, principled set of talking points that everyone can understand. We need to take our wonderful graphs, charts, and facts to the kitchen table. Hello, Scott Walker did just that in his speech! So you libertarian minded folks, you would do well to listen to him a bit more.
Facts are facts and for the first time this weekend I listened to Corker tell it like it is… we pay only 1/3 of the operating cost of Medicare right now… finally, facts spoken clearly, concisely, and at the kitchen table level. Now, add that to the billions taken from the program to fund ObamaCare and you begin to have a logical and reasoned discussion without first meta-tagging that discussion with minority or gender specific terms. That is of course, if we can get away from pure identity politics…

But all that said, what I have noticed are whispers of sanity when I listen to the “new” leaders say exactly that. Now it’s up to us to keep focused and principled moving forward. We have the right message!

      • I’ll add that the Libertarian Party, as well as the Pauls and other Libertarians within the GOP, are willingly collaborating with the Left in the strategy you mentioned, and helping to split the Republican vote and get socialist Democrats elected.

    • ShainS
    • The Republicans could benefit from consolidating around an idea or two, 24×7, and not let up until every last far Leftist is swept from government and the LSM.

Continually pointing out example after example (one could never run out) of Obama and the Left’s “War on Americans” and “War on the Constitution” come to mind …

Or, if the first words out of every Republican’s mouth to any media would be to simply ask: “Why was Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi on 9/11 — and more importantly, why hasn’t the President been asked this question, let alone answered it?”

We’re lacking a strong leader (aside from Sarah Palin, IMHO) around whom Republicans can and will rally.

“Leaders are visionaries with a poorly developed sense of fear and no concept of the odds against them. They make</ things happen.”

    • Confront Republicans with science and they shred. Example:

There are more endocannabinoid receptors in the body than any other receptor type.

Now do a search “endocannabinoid NIH”. The science is solid. The NIH has thousands of cites. What will “conservatives” do? Scream doper.

In 1900 the Federal government did not have the power to regulate any profession nor the practice of medicine. Where did it acquire that power? From progressive action. Do the “conservatives” want to return to a 1900 type conservatism. No. They want to use the powers acquired for their own ends.

      Nice country while it lasted.

      • E.A.B.
      • The fact that there are so many receptors for cannabinoids in the human body only proves what I have been saying all along: Marijuana is the ideal slavery drug. No drug would be more effective at controlling people, since no other drug has as many receptors.

This is why the enemies of liberty want it legalized.

    • Coming out like a bunch of sad sacks to discuss their party’s “autopsy,” doesn’t sound like a winning party to me. You and RI need to listen to Mark Levin’s show from Monday evening. He showed them up for the naïve losers they are. Preibus’s comments show he totally bought into the liberal propaganda of “being old, white men, out of touch, racist, sexist, bigots, homophobes.” Gee, where have we heard those epithets before?

And today we learn Boehner is meeting behind closed doors with a contingent of both parties, forging an immigration program. No input from the public, no details, no description on line. They’re going to take care of it for us ’cause they’re our betters. Some Republic, eh?

Oh, and immigration reform will include “sovereign” citizens paying for ILLEGALS’ healthcare. Not only did the commies get nationalized healthcare, the STUPID Republicans are going along with “comprehensive” immigration, which will mean a shiny, new permanent voting bloc for the commies, who will never lose another election.

We have FAR more pressing issues than illegal immigration and gay marriage. How about the crushing debt and totalitarian govt taking shape before our eyes?

      Both parties are useless.

The time is ripe for a third party, headed up by Palin, Cruz and Lee, Gowdy, Cotton and Gohmert.. The rest can go home and take their chances in their old hometowns, without D.C. protection when the SHTF.

      • Mark
      • Sounds like someone has a bad case of p*nis envy going on….hence the reason you’re terrified of the prospect of a Libertarian takeover of the party…that would spell certain doom for Obamacare thuse denying you your govt. funded “enlargement surgery”.

Ahh…the wages of spending money that’s not yours….

        • CHHR, VA
        • Interesting rebuttal Mark

          p*nis envy?
          takeover?
          enlargement surgery?

          such inclusive and loving language

Yup, sounds like the media is right, we are imploding… who needs soros’s money anyway we’re allowing it to happen to ourselves, and for FREE when we give this rhetoric any type of consideration!

Thanks Mark, you just confirmed what I’ve been thinking all along… I’m conservative, not libertarian.

          • Mark
          • “Thanks Mark, you just confirmed what I’ve been thinking all along… I’m conservative, not libertarian.”

Well you’re welcome CHHR….happy to oblige. While I’m at it please allow me to welcome you into the conservative camp. Proud bombadier of the Buchanan Brigades here but I do have a couple of Libertarian leanings….freedom of speech being one of them.

You’ll have to excuse me for my belief in that….have ancestors and relatives who’ve fought in numerous wars ranging from American Revolution to Vietnam to provide me that right. That right supersedes your non right to not be offended. Sorry about that.

            Carry on.

    • Mark
    • Relax CHHR…..lighten up a little bit…it was only a joke. E.A.B and I go back and forth over the Libertarians vs. Neocons constantly. I was tweaking his nose.

      • CHHR, VA
      • Mark, you may be “joking” but it certainly comes across as lowering the bar below that of the left. We all have a right to our opinion, but what you said was not. Disagree, fine. Banter ideas, better… but to respond with that type of language and name calling, well… please don’t.
