Michelle Said to be Considering an Extended Vacation

With scandal swirling about the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama may be considering an extended exit from Washington this summer, fleeing for weeks to the Obamas’ traditional summer haven, Martha’s Vineyard.

According to the Boston Globe, “Michelle Obama and the children may be on the island for an extended period.” But the president would hardly be suffering by comparison. He may come up on weekends and then stay for two weeks at the end of the summer, the Globe reports.

The White House has not commented on the Obamas’ vacation plans.    LINK

Ex-Diplomats Report New Benghazi Whistleblowers with Info Devastating to Clinton and Obama

More whistleblowers will emerge shortly in the escalating Benghazi scandal, according to two former U.S. diplomats who spoke with PJ Media Monday afternoon.

These whistleblowers, colleagues of the former diplomats, are currently securing legal counsel because they work in areas not fully protected by the Whistleblower law.

…Stevens’ mission in Benghazi, they will say, was to buy back Stinger missiles from al-Qaeda groups issued to them by the State Department, not by the CIA. Such a mission would usually be a CIA effort, but the intelligence agency had opposed the idea because of the high risk involved in arming “insurgents” with powerful weapons that endanger civilian aircraft.

Hillary Clinton still wanted to proceed because, in part, as one of the diplomats said, she wanted “to overthrow Gaddafi on the cheap.”

This left Stevens in the position of having to clean up the scandalous enterprise when it became clear that the “insurgents” actually were al-Qaeda – indeed, in the view of one of the diplomats, the same group that attacked the consulate and ended up killing Stevens.   LINK

I will also remind readers that Ambassador Stevens was attacked, and eventually killed, just an hour after meeting with a representative of the Turkish government at the Benghazi compound.  The same Turkish government that is deeply involved with both the Muslim Brotherhood and the ongoing conflict in Syria.  The same Turkish government that has become very close with the Obama administration.  The same Turkish government that Barack Obama just held a press conference with last week.  As for the gunrunning accusation, that has been indicated by this and other blogs for some time.  Now it appears it will be officially confirmed which will take this Benghazi scandal to an entirely new level of shocking corruption on the part of the Obama administration.

This is going to prove a long hot summer for all things Obama…

First, regarding those now infamous talking points.  It has been proven the Obama White House lied and lied repeatedly on that example alone.  White House Spokesman Jay Carney indicated only a couple of minor details were altered – a day later reports surfaces that there were at least a DOZEN revisions that ultimately removed all mention of terrorism in general, and Al-Qaeda in particular.  This was clearly politics over truth, though the full reasons as to why the White House was so willing to lie regarding those talking points likely goes far beyond mere politics.

Second, we are now gaining a far better picture of what resources were available to attempt a rescue of those Americans trapped by the terrorist attack against the Benghazi consulate.  The Obama White House has attempted to maintain no help was available.  This has been countered by input from various military sources, as well as recent testimony to Congress by three Benghazi whistleblowers.  And one particularly damning question remains on this point – if a rescue mission could be deployed and arrive to Benghazi within three hours, why wasn’t it?  Those who are saying there was too little time open up a door for which they would rather keep closed – HOW DID THEY KNOW HOW MUCH TIME THEY HAD?  What if the attack on the consulate went on for twelve hours or more?  What if there were hostages?  Someone in the Obama administration gave a stand down order and then nobody did anything until long after the conflict had concluded, and what then followed was the Obama  White  House’s tried and true method of indicating “there is an investigation” into what happened in Benghazi, so they were unable to answer questions on the matter.  This is the same tactic used for the Fast and Furious scandal, and is the same tactic they are attempting for both the IRS and Associated Press scandals.

There are but a handful of very basic questions that must be answered, and frankly, it is perplexing that so few Republicans have been willing to yet raise them – at least publicly.  (Which leads me to believe that what was going on in Benghazi was so corrupt and shocking few wish to really speak of it.)

-Why was Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi?  What was his purpose/mission there?

-How is it that just one hour after meeting with the Turkish government official, the Benghazi consulate is then under attack by a very well armed terrorist group?

-No details were ever released regarding the autopsy results on Ambassador Stevens.  The only word given was by a doctor in Benghazi who worked at a hospital controlled by Muslim terrorists.  Surely American officials took the time to determine for themselves the cause of death for Ambassador Stevens – and yet, there is no official statement on that matter from U.S. officials.  The first American ambassador killed in the line of duty in over thirty years and there is no official conclusive cause of death given by the American government?

-Who gave the stand down order to not attempt to assist the Americans in Benghazi who were under attack – and why was that stand down order issued?

-Where was Barack Obama during the Benghazi attack?  Again, there has been no official statement regarding where the nation’s Commander in Chief was during this time.  Some have said he was sleeping.  Was he watching in the Situation Room at the White House?  Was Valerie Jarrett or someone else actually handling the situation – and thus the near total lack of a military response to save those Americans?

-Why did Barack Obama and those within his administration continue to blame an obscure YouTube video for the Benghazi Massacre days and weeks after it happened?  Evidence released since then proves the White House knew who was actually responsible within hours of the attack – and yet, the “blame the video” tactic was pushed long after the fact.  Barack Obama himself mentioned the video on such shows as Letterman, The View, and even did nearly two weeks later at the United Nations.

The Benghazi Massacre remains the most murky and potentially damaging of all of the ongoing Obama scandals.

Americans deserve the truth on Benghazi.

Barack Obama appears intent on burying that truth right along with the four Americans who lost their lives there…

White House knew of IRS scandal “weeks ago”

…Now the Wall Street Journal and NBC’s Chuck Todd both report that the top lawyer in the White House did indeed know about the scandal for weeks before it broke publicly:

The White House’s chief lawyer learned weeks ago that an audit of the Internal Revenue Service likely would show that agency employees inappropriately targeted conservative groups, a senior White House official said Sunday.

That disclosure has prompted a debate over whether the president should have been notified at that time.

President Barack Obama said last week he learned about the controversy at the same time as the public, on May 10, when an IRS official revealed it to a conference of lawyers. The president’s statement drew criticism, focusing attention on his management style and whether he has kept himself sufficiently informed about the agencies under his authority.

…How could the top White House lawyer sit on the knowledge that the IRS had targeted the President’s political opponents without informing the President?  Answer: Either Ruemmler was incredibly incompetent or the White House is lying about when Obama knew of the scandal. We got a big hint in last week’s press conference that it’s the latter, when Obama changed the context of a question about his awareness of the scandal to his awareness of the IG report, which is pointedly not the same thing.  LINK

NOW FOR THE POSSIBLE SMOKING GUN ON THE IRS SCANDAL:

According to White House visitor logs, President Barack Obama met with Colleen Kelley, leader of the IRS Employees Union on March 31st, 2010.

The Inspector General’s report that uncovered the IRS abuse scandal indicated the following:

April 1-2, 2010: The new Acting Manager, Technical Unit, suggested the need for a Sensitive Case Report on the Tea Party cases. The Determinations Unit Program Manager Agreed.

ONE DAY after meeting with Barack Obama in person at the White House, the IRS initiates an aggressive program to “report” on Tea Party cases – the very program that is now being proven to be a shocking and illegal abuse of power against conservative groups in America.

THIS is likely why Barack Obama refused to answer if he just learned of the IRS abuses – instead responding he had just learned of the IG report.  Obama not only KNEW of the IRS abuses – his own White House meetings record indicates he was very much a part of creating that abuse himself, attempting to use the IRS to intimidate conservative groups months before the 2010 Midterm Election…

Just a few examples of how far off the responsible rhetoric road Barack Obama chose to travel…

“Delivering a commencement address at the all-male private liberal arts college in Atlanta, Obama spoke in deeply personal terms about the “special obligation” he feels as a black man to help those left behind.”

A yes…the obligation he feels as ”black man”.  Imagine say, George W. Bush indicating his obligations as a “white man”?  Such a thought is preposterous and would be viewed, rightfully so, as deeply offensive to a person holding the title of President of the United States.  Not President of black men…or black people…or half black half white people.

And I still don’t understand why Barack Obama is given a free pass on the whole “I’m a black man” thing.  His father was an African.  Not an African-American.  And his mother was very much a white woman.  Obama was raised for many years by white grandparents – and other years by an Asian Muslim man.  How does this background get erased and simplified to him being a “black man”?  The fact is, we shouldn’t even care regardless, right?  He is supposed to be the President of the United States – not a “black man”.  And yet – that is what he and so many in the media continue to portray him as.  Why is that?

Yet Obama acknowledged that “the bitter legacies of slavery and segregation” have not vanished, that discrimination still exists.

Oh really Mr. President?  Would that be your IRS going after people for their political views you’re talking about here?  Or members of the media you deem as not fully cooperating with your administration’s agenda.  Perhaps it’s those bitter people “clinging to their guns and religion” you’re talking about?  Or Catholics you accuse of hating women because they don’t wish to be forced give up their freedom of religion protections?  Or small business owners perhaps?  Yes, discrimination does indeed still exist Mr. Obama – and it is the now living legacy of your far left liberal Big Government policies that embrace that discrimination.

“Growing up, I made quite a few myself,” Obama said. “Sometimes I wrote off my own failings as just another example of the world trying to keep a black man down. I had a tendency to make excuses for me not doing the right thing.”

But, the president implored, “we’ve got no time for excuses.”

My goodness.  Barack Obama is actually telling a group of young men to stop making excuses????  In just the last week alone Mr. Obama has indicated he didn’t know about the IRS scandal, or the Associated Press scandal – that in essence, none of the bad dealings within his administration are actually his fault.  He has for years blamed the previous president for his own failings to fully improve the still stagnant American economy.  He has even blamed kiosks and ATMs  for high unemployment, even though those things have been around for about thirty years!  He has blamed Republicans for anything and everything.  Barack Obama is the President of Blame – and he continues to blame others for anything and everything so long as it means he must never have to blame himself.

Obama told the graduates they needed to be role models for others in their communities and not just chase after high-paying jobs and fancy cars. If they get a law degree, he told the graduates, they shouldn’t defend only the powerful, but also the powerless. If they get an MBA and start a business, Obama said, they shouldn’t merely try to make money, but also consider the broader purpose their business might serve.

Oh – so a company that “makes money” is not doing enough good?  Here is where Barack Obama once again exposes his socialist tendencies and a complete ignorance of America’s traditional economic freedoms.  (An ignorance that has manifest into outright hostility against the free market)  So someone making money and then creating jobs for others is not doing good?  And what if the president’s oft-repeated statements again nice cars, big homes, or private planes?  He said it to these college graduates and he has said it elsewhere.  And yet, as president, Barack Obama has spent BILLIONS of dollars on vacations, parties, golf outings, etc., even at a time when the country was struggling under the yoke of a horrible economy.   Or the fact that Obama himself paid a lower tax rate than many middle class Americans will this year.  Or what of the billions more he paid out to “Green Energy” businesses that are now bankrupt but still managed to funnel millions back to his political campaigns before they went under?

Barack Obama says words that hold little truth to his own actual experience, but he has been saying them for so long without being challenged as to their truth, he will continue to do so until enough people stand up and speak out and say ENOUGH.

Stop the lies Mr. President.

Your most recent speech was another in a long line of shameful, self-serving, and highly divisive pontifications.

You are a corrupt coward, devoid of responsible leadership.  When four Americans die you call it a “bump in the road” and later indicate “there is no there there.”  When asked about a scandal that records already indicate your administration knew of months ago – you shrug and say you just heard about it on the news “like everyone else.”  You bully and threaten whenever anyone opposes you, then play the race card and claim anyone accusing you of such is doing so because you “look different” than other presidents.  You claim how dysfunctional Washington D.C. is, even as you have now been a part of Washington D.C. for a decade. (The same time period it became so dysfunctional by the way…)  Members of your own political party charge you with being “out of touch” and disinterested in leading.

You’re NOT a black man Mr. President.  You’re not even a man.

You are nothing more than a pathetic child demanding to be the center of attention while not willing to accept the responsibility that comes along with all of that attention.  In your world all must either love you or they are accused of hating you.  There is no room for distinction or reasoned disagreement.

WALLACE: …Here’s the point, though, the ambassador goes missing, the first ambassador in more than 30 years is killed. Four americans, including the ambassador, are killed. Dozens of Americans are in jeopardy. The president at 4:00 in the afternoon says to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to deploy forces. No forces are deployed. Where is he while all this is going on?

…I’m simply asking a question. Where was he? What did he do? How did he respond in who told him you can’t deploy forces ?

PFEIFFER:  The president was in the white house that day, kept up to date by his national security team, spoke to the Joint Chiefs of Staff earlier, Secretary of State, and as events unfolded he was kept up to date.   LINK

Lawmakers to investigate EPA FOIA scandal

Republican lawmakers are launching an investigation into claims that the Environmental Protection Agency, while giving preferential treatment to environmental groups, made it harder for conservative groups to obtain government records.

…The free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute obtained documents showing that since January 2012, the EPA granted fee waivers for 75 out of 82 FOIA requests from major environmental groups and only denied seven of them, giving green groups a 92 percent success rate.

At the same time, the EPA rejected or ignored 21 out of 26 fee waiver requests from conservative groups.

…“We know the Obama EPA has completely mismanaged FOIA, but granting fee waivers for their friends in the far-left environmental community, while simultaneously blocking conservative leaning groups from gaining access to information is really no different than the IRS disaster,” said Vitter.  LINK

Sharyl Attkisson hinted last night on Twitter (Thursday night) that she would have something “interesting” on Benghazi today.  The CBS reporter didn’t disappoint…the change in tone in White House trial balloons in its defense of the Benghazi debacle is stunning:

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012 acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath.

The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments.

“We’re portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots,” said one Obama administration official who was part of the Benghazi response. “It’s actually closer to us being idiots.”

Now, more than eight months later and nine days after State Department whistleblowers embarrassed the White House, administration officials are beginning to admit that they botched Benghazi before, during, and afterward:

Thursday, an administration official who was part of the Benghazi response told CBS News: “I wish we’d sent it [FEST].”

Mark Thompson, who ran the counterterrorism unit at State, testified last week that after he insisted on dispatching FEST, he got excluded from any further meetings on the immediate response. 

In an unfortunate turn of events, on Sept. 11, a special U.S. military force based in Europe, designed specifically for quick reaction to unforeseen emergencies, was off on a training mission in Croatia. By the time the so-called Commander’s In-extremis Force was diverted to an airfield at Sigonella, Italy, an hour’s flight from Benghazi, the attacks were over.

Let’s just ponder that a moment.  We took our quick-response team offline on the anniversary of 9/11? Who made that call?

According to Attkisson’s report, a FEST team was ready to intervene in the Benghazi attack and was preparing to respond but were never given the approval to engage.

“With U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens reported missing shortly after the Benghazi attacks began, Washington officials were operating under a possible hostage scenario at the outset,” Attkisson’s report reads. “Yet deployment of the counterterrorism experts on the FEST was ruled out from the start.”

A MILITARY RESPONSE TEAM WAS RULED OUT FROM THE START.   BY WHO?  AND WHY?

That last line gave me chills for nothing more than the fact that the FEST response was already initiating per long standing protocols, and then that response was terminated and those involved in preparing that response were “removed from any further meetings on the response.”

Add to that fact that the very team trained and prepped for the very crisis scenario that was taking place in Benghazi on September 11th, 2012, had been sent away to a training mission in Croatia on the anniversary of the worst terror attack in the history of the United States?  WHO MADE THAT DECISION?  AND WHY?

The Obama administration is not merely idiots or liars.  They are lying idiots and America must hold them ALL accountable…
